220 Chapter 220: Fear on earth
Hearing Silver’s words everyone calmed down and frowned. If Alex can kill his son over this matter, there is no need for him to hold back against them. Right now they couldn’t help but regret his final moments and wondered what to do next.
Back then the God sect was in the Baron realm, a whole realm above Alex. It was obvious he would die at their hands. With his death, the war would be lost! The only thing that would await them too was death.
They were not scared of death but for the sake of his child, they did what was necessary. They didn’t want little Alex to live a life of fear, where he has to hide from the rest of the world all his life. This sacrifice they made was not for themselves but for little Alex.
Damon, Alex’s elder brother hated them dearly after the death of his little brother. He also blamed himself for being too weak to protect his younger brother from the world. He severed all ties with the Briggs and Ainsworth families and joined the resistance.
“What if we just left everything behind and fought by his side... None of this would have happened” Danny said with a frown
“If we fought by his side we would all be dead by now” Silver said while shaking his head. The strength of a Baron-level foe is not to be underestimated.
In his opinion, they made the logical choice and they are paying for it now.
“Do you think he will win if he returns?” Tracy asked as little Alex ran into her arms and she embraced him.
“The world has evolved. We have become something more under the leadership of the Danites. Apart from the creation of seeds, we have many powerhouses pushing beyond the SS ratings and into the realm above... we even have Earl-rated guardians now on earth” Silver said.

“Apart from these people, we have the Danites who have claimed Earth as their own. We are their main force and their secret weapon so they won’t just let anyone come and do as they please here. Should Alex return alone he will die a tragic death” Danny speculated.
“But Alex is no fool. He may have been the powerhouse of the Nameless family and the resistance back then but he was also the brains. He is not inferior to us in any way so he won’t return alone. The funny thing is we may not even get to face him here. Our battle will take place in space” Silver laughed bitterly.

“The injuries he suffered that day are enough to kill him two times over. The resistance does not have what it takes to save him. The only option is outside interference. Anyway, we can safely assume he is with the alliance now. The war with the other races alongside the Danites is about to get more complicated... but we still have the advantage. Alex is only one man after all” Silver shrugged his shoulder as he lit up a cigarette while he spoke. His eyes seemed unfocused and distant but then a new scene was shown on the broadcast!
It was Alex standing in mid-air with his fluttering gray hair and beasts racing towards him.

The finger snap shook the hearts of everyone who watched. Their eyes widened in shock as countless mutant beasts exploded and were reduced to mere bloody pastes! The world watched the clip in silence as Alex battled the purgatory snake and more beasts. The golden armor he used reaffirmed their belief that this man is the real Alex Briggs. Seeing him obliterate purgatory snakes like they are nothing left people shaking.
These powerful beasts did not exist on earth so they couldn’t guess how strong they are. All everyone agreed on silently were two things. The first is that Alex Briggs was that man in the video and the second was that he was terrifyingly strong now! It was clear he found a way to break into the Baron rank and managed to climb even higher.
Silver and the others who were doubting Alex’s strength were dumbfounded and tongue-tied.
“Daddy is strong” Little Alex said with a bright smile.
Without them telling him who the man is, he could already tell. Tracy and the others looked themselves in their eyes and all they saw was fear.
“I guess we will have to take an active role in this matter. If Alex is as formidable as it shows in that video then we are doomed. Unless we take an active role and finish what we started we won’t survive” Silver said with a frown.
“Are you trying to say we should kill him a second time?” Tracy said with a deadly pale look on her face.
Killing Alex the first time is the hardest thing she had done and even now she still has nightmares about that day. Killing him a second time is something she has never considered doing.
“If we want to survive we cannot watch from the sidelines anymore.” Danny said with a frown.
“We have to join the Danites now as active members and make sure they win this war. Only then will we be safe” Silver said with a frown.
“What the hell are you guys saying! It is Alex we are talking about? You are really going to kill Alex a second time?” Tracy asked with a fierce look.
“To survive he has to die... Things have changed. The only one that can kill Alex for good is me and I intend to do that” Silver said coldly before walking out.

The explosion threw both lights back as Alex spat out a mouthful of blood while holding his head. His golden body had cracks that began repairing themselves. On the other side were a human-sized figure with reptilian eyes, a human-shaped body filled with scales, and a tail.

Seeing such a beast with a fierce aura, Alex stood and a bitter smile bloomed on his face. He knew he would meet a frightening foe but not this early! They skipped the marquise ranked foes and jumped straight to Duke level immediately.
