Chapter 39: Chapter 39: Alex defeated?
Seeing the car back away the dog howled and chased after it, making Alex frown! His eyes revealed killing lights as he dashed forward, leaping up!
BANG!
Alex stepped on the roof of the car and jumped even higher, leaving behind Silver’s uncontrollable curses directed at him! He clenched his fist as he planned to start the fight with a powerful blow but the dog unexpectedly leaped into the air, ramming its massive head into his small body, throwing him meters back!

Alex crashed on the ground and his vision blurred slightly and his body felt numb. His brown skin had cracks all over it with some pieces falling off, making Alex wonder just how strong this dog is!
Alex screamed in his mind as he struggled to get on his feet but the massive dog was already in front of him, wiping its paws at him from the side, viciously!
“Damn it!” Alex gritted his teeth as he raised his hand to block!

He heard a bone-shattering sound as he was sent flying meters away, crashing into the building by the side. He shattered the wall, rolling inside pitifully. At this point, he had blood rolling down his forehead, he could have sworn his left arm is broken and of course, his legs were shaking and his vision blurry.
Alex’s mind was filled with so many thoughts.
He could feel the ground tremble as the mutated dog approached the building. It seemed as if time had slowed down for him and images of his past flashed across his eyes! He was still on his knees as he felt a part of the building shatter and the dog lunge at him!
Alex muttered in his mind.
Right now he could literarily feel the mutated dog breathing down on him. More images flashed and all he could see was his moments with the Briggs! The moments he despised the most!
“HELL NO!” Alex’s eyes suddenly turned black and his perfectly gelled hair scattered as an enormous power surged from his body!

Silver had just packed the car at a safe distance and returned to help when he saw Alex get knocked into a building leaving him stunned. To think one of the strongest people he knew would be knocked away so easily, This is something really terrifying even for him.
He paused not daring to move as the mutated dog walked into the building and at that moment he regretted not moving! With Alex’s condition, he shouldn’t be able to defend himself. He was about to race towards the building when a massive explosion occurred and he saw the dog sent flying while the building collapsed!
His body shivered as he watched Alex levitate out of the collapsing building. His eyes were pitch black and his hair fluttered uncontrollably. An almost invisible force surrounded him, preventing the debris from the collapsing building to get to him.
Silver screamed in his mind!
“Alex! Stop! Now!” Silver screamed as he ran over.
Hearing his name, Alex’s emotionless face turned to see who dared to call him but upon seeing Silver his eyes instantly returned to normal and he fell to the ground, feeling even weaker than before. His head hurt badly and with a broken left arm, he could only lay on the floor and endure the pain.
“You want to die?” Alex finally spoke up as Silver got close to him.
“Leave this place, quickly... They are far stronger than your family games portray them! I underestimated it and got hurt badly... You have to leave now!” Alex said weakly but Silver ignored him and pulled him up.
He placed Alex’s right hand over his shoulder and supported him as they both slowly walked away from the scene.
“Leave you behind? Why would I leave my guardian knight behind? You will be the knight of my new family... an important piece on my chess board... I definitely cannot let you die here!” Silver laughed but Alex remained silent, trying to stabilize his energy.

The mutated dog was on its feet and charged towards the duo with pure killing intent!
“How the hell is that shit still standing? Is it immune to pain?” Silver’s facial expression turned gloomy but then it turned worse as he noticed Alex push him away and stood gazing at the beast coldly.
His legs parted slowly as he assumed a fighting stance. His pupils vanished as he controlled the flow of energy around his body preparing to use the third form of the demon-kin first stage.
He watched and waited and just when the beast was close enough, something rammed into it, sending it flying back.
It was a man with a black spear! The man was dressed in black robes, covering all parts of his body with only his head, arm, and feet visible!
Whoosh!
Like an arrow the man shot towards the beast so fast even Alex had a hard time following his movements using the second form of his secret technique; Flow!
ROAR!
The beast jumped on its feet and charged forward. It threw its paw at the man, but the man-made some weird movements which made it look like he was tiptoeing but his movements were so swift and graceful, he easily dodged the attack, striking forward with his spear!
Puff!
Blood splattered everywhere as the spear tore deep into the dog’s shoulder making it let out a painful cry!
“Kill!” The man growled as he pulled out the spear and attempted to launch a second attack but he was slapped away by the dog!
