79 Chapter 79: Stopping the unstoppable spear
Hearing the conversation between Alex and Silver made people convulse with anger. While they knew how powerful members of the big four are, Alex and Silver are still merely recruits in their first years. They lacked the experience long time guardians have. The fact that these two boldly state they would stop the unstoppable spear was an insult to all of them who have failed to achieve this in the past.
Meanwhile, Flaming sparrow was speechless! Alex and Silver just brushed him off like he was some sort of worthless rag.
They didn’t even bother looking his way! Right now he and the other guardians silently agree to ignore everything happening around them. They won’t lend a hand!
They were determined to watch Alex and Silver fail.
“Why did they make enemies out of everyone there?” Angel felt like pulling out his hair.
He failed to understand why Silver and Alex just decided to make enemies out of those meant to save their lives.
“I hope they know what they are doing!” Angel said while biting his fingernails.

“How strong is it?” Alex asked calmly as he gazed at the shield with a cold expression.
“Strong enough to block an attack from a weak B rated deviant” Silver answered nonchalantly.
“Hmph! That man has gathered momentum and his power is currently at its best... He will break it” Alex said as he strolled forward with his hands behind him.
He took a breath and waited for a while but even then he didn’t exhale. He took another breath and veins began appearing all over his smooth skin.

The earth shook violently as the unstoppable spear charged forward. His eyes were as bright as the sun while his body was surrounded by a fiery aura which made even Alex feel threatened. His eyes narrowed as his fists clenched together while he kept running forward.
He had expected to be greeted by a horde of C rated heroes after which he will break through them effortlessly but now he saw two youths standing behind some sort of energy wall.
The unstoppable spear was surprised but not annoyed. He could see guardians some distance away from the two kids so he considered this as an attempt to prolong the inevitable. He dashed viciously and slammed into the shield ruthlessly!

The light blue shield trembles violently but it did not break, leaving people stunned and their eyes glued to Silver and Alex.
“What the hell, it didn’t break?” Flaming sparrow gasped in shock
Immense pressure could still be seen surging between the shield and the man as they both struggled. Slowly visible ripples a web shape cracks began appearing on the surface of the shield. The power surged uncontrollably, making Alex and Silver’s hairs flutter uncontrollably but even then, none of them attempts to leave their position at all.

“What level of technology is this or is this his deviant ability?” Many guardians and even Flaming sparrow were too shocked to move. They gazed at Silver with thoughtfulness.

The shield set for him earlier may have reduced all the momentum he had gathered in the past few minutes but he refused to believe Alex could take him on, head-on.
Even now, his destructive power could rival that of other C rated guardians! This is not something someone of his level should be able to handle!
