Chapter 29

The crown prince did not release Rosena’s wrist for a long time.

His fingers, wrapped around her thin wrist, were cold, unlike Yerhan’s.

At a time when it seemed strange, the crown prince took off his lips in a relaxed manner, and released Rosena’s hand.

He asked politely with a light smile, as if wearing a soft mask.

“If you don’t mind, I’d like to hear your name.”

“Rosena Estarot….. no, it is Rosena Herbet from today.”

“Ah… Count Estarot.”

It was a subtle tone.

Rosena reflected and straightened her back.

It was already well known that the imperial family ostracized and hated the Estarots.

She didn’t mean to be discouraged no matter how much they said it was a lost and fallen family.

But the crown prince smiled again, contrary to Rosena’s expectations.

“The County of Estarot is a prestigious family.”

The people around him were briefly agitated by his remarks.

It was publicly known that the imperial side was insular to the Estarots.

Therefore, no one expected the crown prince to stand up like this.

Rosena also blinked at the crown prince’s words.

“Lady Rosena, no, now I have to say Madam.”

For some reason, he seemed to put strength when saying Rosena’s name.

As Rosena swallowed her saliva, the crown prince, who was looking at her face thoroughly, curled his eyes and made a suggestion.

“Would you care for a cup of tea soon?”

“…Yes?”

“Now that we’re family, we have a lot to share.”

“I’ll be there, too.”

Yerhan came in before Rosena could say yes.

The crown prince slowly turned to look at Yerhan.

Obviously, his eyes were curved, but the atmosphere in those eyes was as cold as ice.

But Yerhan retorted, staring back at him.

“I’m also a family member.”

The crown prince’s face, which was like smooth porcelain, was crushed.

He muttered in a meaningful way.

“Yes, family.”

“…….”

“It wouldn’t be bad to have a deep family conversation after a long time.”

Yerhan’s eyebrows, which stood still, narrowed slightly.

The crown prince lowered his head and looked at Rosena.

His eyes seemed as if they were going to dig into Rosena.

And he slowly turned his body around.

“I will send someone to your palace.”

The fluttering cape gradually drifted apart.

Rosena, who was looking at his back, looked down at her wrist.

The sensation of being held by the crown prince was still vivid.

The fingers gently wrapped around the back of her hand, strangely enough, felt creepy.

She didn’t want to be close to him instinctively or rationally.

“Are you okay?”

Only then did Rosena raise her head and look up at Yerhan.

She could feel various emotions from his expression. The most obvious was anxiety and mild displeasure.

Rosena nodded to say she was all right and murmured so only Yerhan could hear it.

“I didn’t expect His Highness to speak to me in person.”

Rather, she expected to be ignored.

Her family is a family that has no presence and is hated by the imperial family.

But she didn’t expect him to offer her tea first.

Rosena immediately looked around. Surely the crown prince’s words had considerable influence. At once, the eyes of the nobles were changed.

The nobles, who were watching from a distance, began to creep up.

It was the moment Yerhan made a cynical look at such nobles.

Macella and Rania, who walked from afar, stood in front of Rosena after passing through the people.

***

Rania and Macella pulled out their best dress from the closet for today.

At the wedding banquet, it was customary to wear clothes in calm colors and accessories in order to let the bride shine the most.

However, the two were decorating themselves as splendidly as possible as if they had become the main characters.

Macella wore a large sapphire necklace that she didn’t sell even when the price was high and a dress full of frills.

Last time she went up to the capital, she was so angry that she didn’t buy the dress she saw, but the dress she wore now was good enough to match it.

The two arrived early in the morning in a state of great excitement.

Rania’s husband, the new Count Estarot, was so caught up in work that he could not attend the wedding.

Rather, Rania thought it was a relief.

It’s just a shame to bring a low-class husband.

The two sat at the front, raised their heads sternly and waited for the wedding.

By any means, they were the family from the bride’s side, so the eyes of the nobles were poured out at once. The women accepted the gaze with all delight.

The wedding ceremony began, and Rosena in a wedding dress appeared.

Macella and Rosena rubbed their eyes several times at Rosena’s appearance.

A bride like the first snow was walking down Virgin Road.

Every step she took, the train of the dress fluttered as if petals were dancing.

There was no sign of the old-fashioned Rosena like the one in their memories.

By the time they came to their senses, the wedding was over.

Macella and Rania attended the banquet earlier than anyone else.

Dinner came and the nobles gathered one by one in the banquet hall began to show interest in the two.

It was the first interest they received since the collapse of the family and drifting apart from the central society.

Especially for the pretty-looking Rania, young noblemen had been secretly flirting.

Rania hung out with them without revealing that she has a husband.

“Estarot? Then you must be Her Highness’ family member.”

“Yes, we’re sisters.”

“I saw her for the first time today, and she was so beautiful.”

“Actually my mother and I were also impressed. As expected, women are all about decoration. She is normally…”

Rania smiled, blurring the end of her words. People could naturally read the words behind them.

“By the way, how did she end up marrying the third prince?”

When a nobleman asked what he had been curious about, everyone looked at Rania.

Everyone was very curious about how Rosena and Yerhan got married.

The relationship between the two at the wedding seemed quite good to call it a political marriage.

As the eyes gathered, Rania gently shook the fan for no reason.

Everyone was filled with anticipation at the sight of Rania taking time to answer.

“Actually… Her Highness the Princess once left the house.”

“Oh my God.”

Everyone looked at Rania with their eyes wide open.

It was an unprecedented case that a noble young lady left home.

It was more and more exciting, and so they waited in anticipation for Rania’s words.

But before Rania opened her mouth, a murmur was heard from the other side.

Rania and the nobles turned their heads toward the sound. There stood the crown prince.

Rania swallowed her breath unconsciously. The rumor about the crown prince was all too well known to Rania.

Having a decent personality and clean privacy, he was a person who cared about the people so much that he went out to defeat the monsters himself despite his status as the crown prince.

Rania chased the crown prince with her own eyes.

He is not as beautiful as the third prince, but his soft atmosphere, position, and high reputation made it a very likable appearance.

Even with his status being unmarried, it was enough to set fire to the hearts of many young ladies.

Rania felt like a little girl.

It would be great if she could marry the crown prince.

While Rania was in a dream for a while, the crown prince approached the third prince couple.

Rania unwittingly clutched her fan.

Rania, who was watching the crown prince step down, told Macella.

“Mother, we should go say hello to sister, too.”

“Of course we should.”

Macella and Rania strode toward Rosena.

“Your Highness, the Princess.”

Rosena turned her head and looked at Rania.

Wearing an unusual dress, Rosena radiated another kind of charm, unlike in the wedding hall.

The dress from earlier had a pure and clear atmosphere, and the dress she wore right now was glamorous.

Rania measured the price of Rosena’s dress and accessories with a quick glance.

Even the necklace around her neck looked more expensive than everything she wore from head to toe.

Rania smiled broadly, biting her inner lip slightly.

“Congratulations on your wedding.”

Rania kept the prettiest smile she could make.

She was confident in her appearance. There was no woman prettier than her in the county.

So she wanted herself to be the one who receives the most attention here.

“Now I have to call you Your Highness the Princess.”

Macella, standing next to Rania, interfered.

“It was a shame that we parted like that in the dressing room.”

Macella, relaxed, laid her hand on Rosena’s shoulder.

Unlike when they met in the dressing room, she pretended to be close to Rosena in a completely different manner.

Rania, who was smiling at Rosena, blinked her big eyes as if she suddenly remembered.

“The wedding was pretty good. The flowers are pretty bland, the food isn’t bad, and they must have taken a lot of care.”

It was a review disguised as a compliment.

Macella only nodded beside her, looking sympathetic upon Rania’s words.

Rania waited for Rosena’s reply, enjoying the stinging gaze on her cheeks.

But Rosena didn’t say anything, she just stared at Rania.

With a strange atmosphere, the surrounding nobles cast glances of interest.

Silence continued for so long that Rania, who spoke first, was embarrassed.

Then suddenly Rosena smiled meaningfully.

“I see.”

There was an implication from those words, it was as if she was saying ‘So what?’
