A new school term was on its way. As per their usual affairs, the student council began its annual meeting. There were third year seniors that only had half a year left in their positions, and one of them, Feng Jie, seemed to be secretly preparing for something. When the meeting was over, he privately asked a few council members, including Lu Qi, to stay behind.

Including Lu Qi, Lin Nian Kong, Chang Xuan, and Shen Yang Yang, these were the top people in the department of computer science.

“Actually, I have something that I have always wanted to discuss with you guys. But I just never had the opportunity to. So, I’m taking the chance now to invite you for dinner. My treat. If all of you juniors would like to join this old senior, give me a little face today.”

Feng Jie had an excellent family background, and out of the normal wealthy second generation who usually fooled around with their parents’ money, he had an abnormal sense of responsibility. His outer appearance looked quite kind hearted, and at ‘C’ University, his network was through the roof, wading in and out of social circles like a fish in water. By treating them to this dinner, those who had been asked to stay behind already knew that he had hidden intentions behind the invitation.

This should be considered as a camouflaged olive branch. Even though they don’t know if it was beneficial to stand behind this wealthy prince, just from his family background and his position as the student council president, there would be no end to those attracted to his side, like a flock of pigeons to a piece of bread.

‘C’ University has no restrictions on working part time, and so by the time a student moves onto their second year, they would have had about half their term occupied with an internship. The evening study period would be canceled, and there would be more free time.

Feng Jie had already rented an office space when he was in year two, and considering the number of students in the same year as him that were recruited into his company, the first couple of steps for the start up has already been completed.

The dinner was held at a high end restaurant, and the place was just getting heated up from all the wine being consumed. Shen Yang Yang and Lu Qi were pretty familiar with each other, and so she could not stop herself from quietly saying,

“The president is trying to recruit us into his start up huh. How could it be so easy? The software industry has never been that simple to enter. I.M., Zhi Yuan and those other companies have already covered the holes in the bucket that is the gaming industry. As a new company, it is hard to rise up in this kind of scene. It’s just difficulty adding to even more difficulty.”

In the second year of university, quite a few people want to take the chance to advance themselves. If they waste their time on an unclear journey, on a plan that may or may not succeed or even fail, who would even have the desire to attempt it?

“How could the world be so simple? Let’s ignore whether it can succeed or not. Even if it succeeded, you can’t even imagine what the benefits, what the final reward, would be.”

Lu Qi thought to himself that the Zhi Yan Corporation is basically Feng Jie’s family. With Zhi Yan backing them, they couldn’t fail too badly. Even if they take a loss, it would only be a loss to Feng Jie. To the rest, they’ve only lost time and effort.

He looked down, swirling his wine glass, the gleam of the liquid reflecting in his eyes. There was something that weighed more heavily than usual behind his gaze.

Feng Jie has never put up an act of arrogance. If he is to unite everyone towards his goal, he will tell them everything they needed to know. In their conversations, he clearly stated his expectations and plans for his company in the next 5 years. Each word, each sentence he spoke, was practical. It did not make people think that it was far fetched or impossible.

“I know that this will be a difficult road. Even my father thinks that I’m just fooling around, but I absolutely do not believe that!”

Feng Jie raised his wine glass, sweeping his gaze over the group of people,

“‘C’ University is second to none. Since the school was established, numerous alumni have taken their steps into society, but not everyone could produce results, could prove that they deserve to stand at the top. And this includes quite a few excellent academic talents.”

His words began to take a tone that incited passion and ambition, moving the hearts of the people here at the dinner, when suddenly he sharply changed the direction of his speech,

“They say that I am just a youth full of hot air, that I’m dreaming of crazy dreams, that I’m thinking of everything too simply, as if young people need to suffer setbacks in order to grow. As if we can’t walk half a step without their support. But today, gathered around this table are the greatest talents of ‘C’ University–“

Lu Qi has a set schedule, Monday to Friday he’d be at the university or at the company. On the weekends, he’ll return to the condo to roll around the bed sheets with Huo Ming Chen, living a busy and fulfilling life.

“Ah fuck me, that bastard Feng Jie is digging my walls1.”

Huo Ming Chen kicked Lu Qi’s leg and narrowed his eyes, somehow smiling without actually smiling,

“You’re really something huh. You said you’d graduate and enter into my company, and now you are trying so quickly to escape from me. It’s not even the end of the first year of university.”

Sitting at the head of the bed, Lu Qi was looking at his laptop and caught sight of someone’s leg moving nonstop out of the corner of his eye.

“If you can get into your family business quickly, and then arrange for me to be an employee, I’ll immediately kick Feng Jie away and follow you.”

At this stage in his life, Huo Ming Chen did not want to be tied down by a career. He still wants to play. What Lu Qi said hit his weakness, and he became angry to the point of grinding his teeth and laughing coldy. In the end, he could only lunge forward and bite Lu Qi, viciously saying,

“Scumbag!”

The demon girl Zhao Min was making the honest Zhang Wu Ji come closer, saying that she needs to punish him. But when the other moved closer, she kissed him and then viciously bit down. Zhang Wu Ji was scared by this and jumped back, discovering blood on his lips. He heard her say,

“You bit Zhu-Er2 when you were young, making her remember it till now. Today I bit you, making you remember me for this lifetime.”

Lu Qi felt that that demon girl acting this haughty and overbearingly arrogant was very much like Huo Ming Chen. And so when the other turned to kiss him, he immediately covered his mouth,

“Don’t even think about it.”

Lu Qi was even rejecting kisses now which made Huo Ming Chen really want to bite him. He needs to lose at least two mouthfuls of flesh.

Notes:

*1  digging my walls: an idiom that is a metaphor for someone digging your foundation/breaking your walls, stealing part of your property. So in this case, Huo Ming Chen means that Feng Jie is stealing Lu Qi away from him and from under his territory.

*2 Zu-Er: Zu is part of the word spider, and Er is part (or could be just considered as pronunciation) of child. If you have “er” at the end of a name, it usually references someone younger/a child. But in this case, it’s the name of a fictional character in The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber (a wuxia novel/drama – there’s a 2019 drama adaptation which I haven’t seen, but the older adaptation is very popular).

*3 splitting the words up: each word in written chinese is made up of different parts/components (kind of like if you take the alphabet and each letter is given a specific meaning). In this specific case, the word bite, “咬”, if you separate its components, it is “口”, mouth and “交”, exchange. Put these separated components together, you get “口交”, and it means blowjob.
