Emmy looked at the boys as they went on their way, inwardly she pondered on what she had just seen a moment prior.

'Hey, system, that was a lash mark wasn't it?' Emmy tapped her chin, she was still looking at the two brothers, her attention and focus peaked at what she discovered thus prompting her to notice much more things.

Things that appeared to have much more significance.

For instance, the two boys were subtly leaning against each other and Aries was even limping. She didn't notice it in the guild building but now she did.

[Indeed, they are. From the system's calculations it appears to have been created recently, about 3 days ago.]

'Hmm, are they being abused? Or is it just their training?' Emmy while curious, wouldn't interfere unless she saw the need to.

They were her friends, if they needed help they could call on her. They called her boss, so it was natural for them to seek her guidance.

In the end, Emmy decided she would wait a week or two before interfering, or when she saw something that she couldn't bear on any level.

[Fischl is waiting for the host.]

"Oh, the wonderous day it is in the land of bards and dandelions," Fischl's eyes sparkled, a pleasant smile on her face as she spread out her arms, "Is it not so for you as well, Duke?"

Emmy shook her head fondly, "Indeed so my lady, care to join me for a stroll?" Emmy offered her hand for her friend to take.

"It would be my pleasure, shall we go?" Fischl took her hand and the two girls walked toward the direction of Emmy's house.

Emmy placed her hand in her pocket, her back still on her back as they both went to her house. The scenery was the same as always but somehow she felt refreshed.

Emmy looked at Fischl, the girl had a big smile on her face and was humming cheerfully. Her free hand swung as her head bobbed from side to side.

'If I wasn't holding her hand right now would she start spinning like a ball?' Emmy thought, trying not to laugh at the thought.

Fischl stopped, looking at Emmy as she tilted her head. Emmy looked away as she didn't want Fischl to look at her at this very moment or she might burst out laughing.

"Duke, what troubles thee? Speak thy mind, this Prinzessin is not short of wisdom," Fischl leaned closer, patting her chest.

"I'm fine, I'm fine," Emmy looked at Fischl and she was hit with the image of her spinning like a tabletop toy.

Emmy immediately looked away and she started walking a little faster, her chest felt a little stuffy.

She wasn't fine!

She wanted to laugh, but that might hurt Fischl's feelings if she thought her friend saw her as a spinning tabletop toy.

"Are you making fun of me?" Fischl said her eyes getting a little teary, she covered her eyes and Emmy stopped.

She always hated when Fischl cried and not sensing anything amiss, she naively went to comfort her friend.

Unaware of her schemes.

"I'm sorry alright," Emmy went to pat her friend on the back, the back of her neck slightly tingled.

She ignored it.

Just as she was about to move closer to her friend and comfort her, she paused. Her brows furrowed as she, in an instant, moved backward.

A split second after Fischl moved her hand aiming for the place where Emmy's face was, "Hmph! you dare make fun of the Prinzessin-,"

Everything stopped for a while. Fischl looked at her hands, noticing the absence of what she was aiming to grab, to pinch.

Emmy raised her eyebrow, looking at the sky as an unknown feeling surfaced in her heart. She wanted to laugh now.

"It seems to me that..." Emmy said the mirth in her voice was palpable as she looked at her friend, a hint of crimson covered her face, "Our princess is quite a schemer."

"I-"

"No, I understand that the princess must discipline a lowly Duke like me," Emmy smiled as she moved closer to her friend, a teasing smile on her face, "Ah! If it were not for this one's accomplishments on the battlefield, this one's face would have been ravaged."

"I feel quite fortunate," Emmy poked her friend's cheek and like water, the red on her face spread rapidly, "Once again, I am victorious over our princess. Indeed, I am the greatest."

"Hmph! I- I was merely testing you!" Fischl casually said such a lame excuse, which Emmy saw through in an instant due to how Fischl was speaking.

Emmy as always decided to let her off, as when concerned with Fischl her mercy was practically infinite.

"Let's go to my house," Emmy distanced herself from her friend's face and pulled her in the direction of her house, "I have something to give you."

"Hmm..."

There were no further events on the way toward Emmy's house other than Fischl stopping to pet a cat. It was happy under the girl's touch before it ran away for some reason.

This wasn't because Emmy was staring at it like it was trash, a sign that triggered its survival instinct.

"Sir cameltoe! Why did you run away?" Fischl shouted, not noticing how her friend stared at the cat.

'Hmph!' Emmy thought as she retracted her gaze, 'That will teach him... or her.'

[The host is unreasonable. Even an animal is not spared.]

'I am indeed an unreasonable person,' Emmy was not ashamed in the slightest, 'Sometimes shame doesn't help at all, one must cultivate shamelessness.'

Emmy clenched her fist, her head down with eyes closed shut. In this state, one would think she was thinking hard about something of value. Fischl's eyes shined as she looked at her friend's concentrated state, caught up in Emmy's "trap".

'So cool!'

Fischl misunderstood.

[It appears that Fischl has misunderstood the host. The host should get moving, there are still things to do.]

'Alright!' Emmy pulled her friend's hand gently and a few minutes later they arrived at her house.

They entered the house and made a beeline toward Emmy's room, which they also entered in a rush. They placed their bags on the floor as Emmy started to rummage through her bag.

"What doest thou hath for this Prinzessin?" Fischl asked, her hands behind her back as she twirled around, eventually sitting on the bed as she gazed at her friend.

"A gift from my master for being my first friend," Emmy told the truth as the system was her master, "He said you possess some talent as well."

'Does she possess talent?' Emmy asked to make sure.

[Physical statistics an above average in terms of talent but mental facilities appear to be her strengths if she were the host her training would mostly consist of mental combat. More information shall be provided at a later date.]

Mental facilities huh?

"Oho? It is only right that one who trains the eagle would notice I, the Prinzessin magnificence," Fischl laughed haughtily, her hands on her hips, "So! It is only appropriate that I offer my thanks to this supreme being, as one who can educate the celestial star is of divine origins."

Eagle? Celestial star? Divine origins?

Emmy wondered where her friend got all this from, her imagination seemed to be extremely vast. It was almost as if she had an entire universe in there.

'That couldn't be possible... Right?' Emmy felt sweat pile on her hands as she imagined the scene.

Finally, she obtained the book from her bag, turned out it was in the most inconspicuous pocket ever and was annoying to get ahold of. She had to open a total of six pockets to get to it, three of which were locked.

"Here," Emmy gave Fischl the book, it went well with her purple aesthetic.

'Hey... How is she supposed to use it? Just place it on her forehead.'

[The host shall see in a moment.]

"Many thanks," Fischl took the book and opened it, and on the first page, it revealed a purple light that engulfed the room.

Emmy and Fischl closed their eyes and Fischl nearly dropped the book. It was going to slip out of her hands but somehow... it felt like it was stuck there now.

It felt as if an eternity passed before the light dimmed and they both looked around the room, they were no changes to it.

Many things changed, however.

"Where is the book?" Emmy asked as she looked around, she turned to Fischl who just looked dazed.

She waved her hand in front of her eyes and she didn't respond, just as she was about to pinch her the girl woke up.

"I-," Fischl started, and Emmy listened intently, "What?"

"What?"

"I know everything now, wow!" Fischl jumped out of the bed abruptly and bounced into her friend, sending both of them to the ground.

Emmy hurriedly grabbed her friend and brought her to her chest, safeguarding her against the fall.

Ouch!

Emmy fell on her butt, which hurt her due to the addition of her friend's weight. She was caught off guard otherwise she could have stopped them from falling.

"Hehe..." Fischl smiled brightly her cheeks glowing in happiness and Emmy felt heat rise to hers, "Emmy, thank you!"

'It wasn't much!' Emmy awkwardly said in her mind as she turned her head.
