After that little debacle where they were suddenly surrounded by knights and questioned just to be let go by the GrandMaster himself, Emmy silently scolded herself as she kept her stoic expression, trying not to blush in embarrassment at the trouble she caused.

That wasn't the only thought on her mind though, she discreetly looked at Fischl, who appeared to be staring off into nowhere.

'Did Fischl... Does she think I'm cool?'

This thought took most of Emmy's brain and made her very dizzy at the idea of her friend gushing over her, she smiled but because of her stoic expression that refused to compromise, her face looked a bit lopsided which made her look a little silly.

While Emmy was stuck in her fantasies, the rest of the group was talking about what happened earlier.

"Ehem! Well, that was a shock," Andre said, placing a hand on his sword as Electro danced on the palm of his other hand, but rather than the crackling of Fischl's, his thrummed with power.

Showing that despite their similar elements, their nature was vastly different, which affected the properties each contained.

"You think... Did you guys think that was the boss's full power?" Noelle asked.

"Nope."

"Nah."

"The boss wouldn't be that weak right? I expect her to be able to blow up that mountain, at least," Ansgar said.

Emmy was covered in a cold sweat as she discreetly listened in on their conversation.

This guy really liked to overestimate her power. If she had that kind of firepower she would have already been on her way to destroying all Fatui bases in the world.

'I doubt it would affect them though, the strongest military in the world that belonged to the most united nation of Teyvat. But I'm not trying to destroy them, seeing the pain on their face is enough to satiate me for a few years,' Emmy thought.

An image of the Fatui crying like children entered her mind and Dottore kneeling and begging for forgiveness wiggled its way into her thoughts. The girl giggled ominously, her imaginary self placing her boot on the man's head.

Alas, it was but a dream. The man known as [The Doctor] would never let it come to such a point and since he was a harbinger, a high-ranking one at that, he was too strong for the current Emmy to even think of fighting, let alone meet.

Speaking off...

'I really hope he is not here.'

"So how high do you think the boss's power is?"

"I think, below the GrandMaster," Harlin said simply, he had bore witness to the man's strength once and it had taken hold of his mind ever since.

"Hmm, so the level of a Knight-Captain?"

"Maybe the level of an Abyss mage? I've seen one before and they are really terrifying, teleporting all over the place and using their elemental powers," Ansgar placed his opinion.

"They get weak if you break their elemental shield though, I don't think the boss has that kind of weakness," Andre said, "Also, she can't teleport."

Their idle chatter continued for a while as the group alternated between running and walking toward their next location, on the way they saw a new Hilichurl camp with no archer and one axe Mitachurl.

"Andre you're up! I'll give you a minute to kill all of these," Emmy yawned as Marcus gasped at what she said.

"A minute to kill all of these?" Marcus asked as he eyed the boy, though he looked slightly muscular and had a sharp sword, it was still hard to believe a child could take all of these monsters on at once, "Are you sure?"

Emmy glanced at him, "I'm sure, that guy is strong. He wouldn't be my second in command otherwise," his tone was neutral as she watched the boy approach the monsters with a casual attitude, he wasn't all bothered by the monsters that began to run toward him.

"Hey! I want you to kill the Hilichurls without your elemental power and you can do whatever with the Mitachurl," Emmy, ticked off by his casual attitude imposed the same limit the system put on her during her first test.

The boy stumbled as if he couldn't believe what he just heard but he didn't turn back, waving.

"The boss is quite cruel," Aries said but his tone was not short of laughter as he watched his twin enter the lion's den without his strongest weapon, Electro.

"Will... Will he be okay?" Noelle said as she pulled Harlin's shirt.

"He'll be fine," the boy answered, then looked at Emmy who sat cross-legged on the ground with a bored expression. Fischl stepped next to him.

"Thy heart trembles as the demon of primordial fear prevails in its mission against thy faith?" She asked Noelle, who hesitantly nodded at her.

She hummed and said, "He will be fine, after all," She pointed and Noelle looked, the boy in the distance swung his sword in a lazy manner toward the first shield Hilichurl to come toward him.

The blade passed through the shield, it didn't cut nor shred the shield like butter. No, it passed through it as if it didn't exist in the first place and lopped off the Hilichurls head, blood spewing out of the wound which the boy hurriedly dodged.

"The Duke given him her favor in the art of vanquishing evil, fear thee not, for thy comrade shall prevail."

Fischl had already lost the girl as she was now caught up in how the boy fought the beasts.

The first Hilichurl held up its shield and charged toward him and all Andre could think about was how slow the beast was in his eyes. His tensed muscles relaxed and he swung his blade; the beast's severed head fell to the ground, its blood flooding the earth.

"Hgyah!"

He didn't raise his head as the Mitachurl ran toward him, his gaze centered on the blood that lay beneath his feet; he wondered why he didn't feel sick despite the rancid stench and the thought that he now killed a living thing.

He lifted his eyes and a large two-meter-long axe came into his vision from his right side, it contained enough speed to sever him in half.

Andre scoffed, he jumped lightly; the axe passed beneath him by mere inches and hit the ground, he landed on the pole of the axe and stared at the Mitachurl with a dead look in his eyes. They lit up and he laughed.

"You guys are really weak," He ran up the pole and jumped over the Mitachurl before he descended upon an unexpecting Hilichurl, his sword flashed and the steel collided with the sunlight, blinding it.

He swung downward, his sword cut through its skull, and stopped just before he split its whole head.

'Weak.'

He pulled it out and kicked the dead body to the side. Another swung its wooden club at him, He parried; then he knocked the pommel of his sword in its face, cracking the mask and sending it off center.

His sword moved and once again another one found itself without a head, dead.

'Weak.'

Three more. They were grouped together, had no shield, and were close to an explosive barrel.

He swung his blade to get rid of the blood, and looked behind him, a pyro slime came sailing through the air, and he moved his sword once again.

He knew what would happen if he hit it too hard but effortlessly, he calculated and executed the necessary motion to send the slime toward the three Hilichurls, without it exploding in his face.

It landed on the ground; it exploded, causing a chain reaction that sent the Hilichurls into the air and ignited the explosive barrel. The resulting explosion killed the Hilichurls entirely, and a wave of heat came to his face.

'Trash.'

"Hukuhag! Huaguh! Waguwaghak!"

The Mitachurl roared and jumped with its fire-coated axe, Andre was unconcerned, looking down at the Electro that thrummed in his palm. He did a flip; a second later the axe hit the ground and he landed on it, multiple pillars of flame rose behind him.

The result of the Mitachurls special move.

"You know, it's been a really short time since this battle's started and..." He yawned in the beast's face, and smiled, "My blood isn't pumping, my heart isn't racing, my heart rate is normal as can be, and I'm extremely sleepy right now. Was too excited to sleep last night but it didn't seem to bite me in the ass at all."

His blade pulsed with Electro, all of which he concentrated at the edge of his blade, all in an effort to make it sharper and faster.

"Hahgu!?"

"You're weak after all," He swung it and the Hilichurls head was severed easily due to the potent elemental energy.

He jumped off the axe, he didn't spare a glance at how the body fell like a puppet that lost its strings and looked at Emmy, his boss in a lazy manner. Her flame conjured in her palm and a timer came up, a complicated look on her face. It formed into a few letters and numbers.

It read:

[39 seconds.]

"Not bad," Andre said, then started walking toward them.
