Across them, Lu Tianxin could see the Citizen's Center, which was popular for its amazing architecture, which featured a roof in the shape of a bird. Right next to the Center was the equally beautiful Shenzhen Library and Shenzhen Concert Hall.
Across the library was a huge bookstore where one can purchase books printed in English and other languages. The store was so big, it had a few different restaurants for its patrons.
When they passed the Lizhi Park, Lu Tianxin was in awe. She made a mental note to bring Luo Luo with her to visit it. Lizhi Park was an oasis of greenery in this residential district of Futian. The park was well known for its several picturesque pavilions, landscaped gardens, and an extensive botanical garden.
Just like his biological mother, Ye Yimei, who took inspiration from nature for her paintings, there's no doubt that Luo Luo would also appreciate this place, Lu Tianxin thought.
Then they passed the popular Hua Qiang Bei Commercial Area, which was a great place to shop for electronic consumer items and for a good view of the seventy-two story plaza skyscraper. The area was also known for being a popular destination for couples.
After ten more minutes of driving, they arrived at their destination. Lu Tianxin was the first one to step out of the car. Even with her sunglasses on to protect her eyes from the glare of the sun, it didn't cloud her view of the pathetic situation the project appeared to be in.
No wonder Ye Xiaozu was complaining about it. There's no indication that it would be completed anytime soon.
Ye Xiaozu stood next to her with a frown on his face. His taller stature dwarfed her. Maybe if she was taller like Tang Moyu, she would be able to pretend that she wasn't intimidated by his presence.
"You don't have to be here if you don't want to." Ye Xiaozu told her with indignation.
"How can I not be here? I'm the Deputy CEO of Tang Enterprise. Do you think that I'm just another pretty face with no brain?" She peered back. "Don't disappoint me, President Ye."
For Ye Xiaozu, seeing her annoyed expression made his heart ache. Her expression was so familiar to him. Wasn't this one of those traits he loved about her? Lu Tianxin usually made this kind of face whenever he was teasing her and he would end up kissing her just to pacify her rage.
His hands itched to cup her face and kiss her senselessly. Lu Tianxin was like a lotus flower in his life. Even if its roots were in the dirtiest waters, the Lotus produces the most beautiful flower.
However, he refused to fall for her innocent facade for the second time. Ever since Lu Tianxin turned her back on him, it was hard for Ye Xiaozu to put any faith or trust in anyone around him.
For him, people do not have the capability to be consistent. One moment they promised the world for you, then the next thing you know they would be turning their back on you when it wasn't convenient for them to stay with you anymore.
Lu Tianxin was no different. She was nice to him before because of his sister. He had even started to doubt if she was truly in love with him during their time together.
Now, his heart was stuck in an eternal winter, refusing to accept love from anybody. Not from anyone, not from his fiancee and definitely not from Lu Tianxin. It was hard for him to trust her right now especially after what she did to him in the past.
Meanwhile, Lu Tianxin was seething in anger upon seeing the construction site. The main building was still in its skeletal form and there was barely any foundation prepared for the rides planned for the theme park. How would the Tang Enterprise be able to fix everything with such poor bases?
'Zhelan, you idiot! What have you done to this project?!' She cursed inwardly.
Lu Tianxin didn't need to have the same expertise as her cousin, Tang Moyu, nor Gu Yuyao's keen eye to know that the project was fucked up and nowhere near completion. How the hell did this happen anyway? It's impossible for Tang Zhelan not to know that the progress of this project was stalled.
