Gu Yuyao waved a hand and downed her drink in one go.
"Nonsense, Miss Lu. You need to relax once in a while. When was the last time you took a break and pampered yourself?" She countered and Li Meili nodded her head in agreement beside her.
"I dunno..." Lu Tianxin admitted. "It's been a long time since I had a night out with friends."
Lin Qianrou sipped her smoothie, since she was technically not allowed to drink any alcoholic drinks because of her pregnancy. She was surprised that her husband allowed her to have a powwow late at night with her new friends though. Come to think of it, just like Lu Tianxin, it had been a while since she'd been out to meet her friends.
"Same, it's been a while for me too. The decorating of the nursery room and keeping up with the invitations for parties and art exhibits for my paintings are also piling up because I have no energy left to deal with any of them." She agreed with Lu Tianxin.
Li Meili scoffed and poured herself another drink.
"That's why you need to take a break once in a while. See? You're stressing yourself out over something that could be taken cared of in a calm demeanor. Look at Moyu. She's able to find a stress reliever at home while still keeping the company strong and flourishing."
Tang Moyu raised a brow at her friend, not understanding what she meant by that. Stress reliever? What was that?
She was barely at home and she hadn't had a proper sleep for days now. The only time her mind wasn't on her work was at dinnertime, when she was with her little buns and Feng Tianyi.
"Be like, Sister Yaoyao here. Despite her busy schedule at work and prepping for her wedding, she's still able to find a way to relax and forget work even if it's just for a moment." Li Meili added, she then turned to face Tang Moyu who looked bored. "I'm surprised your little buns allowed you to have a night out with us. How did you manage to convince Xiao Bao?"
"It wasn't that hard, Meili. He knew that I won't be alone with you tonight and allowed me to drink as long as I don't overdo it again." Tang Moyu inclined her head slightly as she cupped one side of her face with one hand.
Lin Qianrou nodded. Well, at least she was spared of having her husband overacting around her. Truth to be told, she'd never expected that Xu Wenyang would turn into a worrywart as soon as he found out that she was pregnant.
"Anyway, Sister Yaoyao. Do you have plans for your wedding night yet?" Li Meili wiggled her eyebrows at Gu Yuyao, to which the latter shared a knowing grin.
"Ah, of course, I do. I can't wait to see Lianchen's face once he sees my surprise for him." Gu Yuyao grinned back.
Li Meili snorted, which was very unladylike for her status, but she didn't care anyway. She never paid attention to how others viewed her as long as she wasn't doing anything bad.
"Provided that the cougar doesn't pop her knees while doing it," she commented.
"Hey! I'm not that old!" Gu Yuyao burst into laughter. "Anyway, these knees can pop, snap and crackle as much as they want so long as I could have his meat stick."
Lu Tianxin covered half of her face in shame. Sometimes, she wondered why her cousin allowed herself to be surrounded by weird people. But then, these women were nice and decent when they were serious, so maybe it wasn't a big deal for Tang Moyu.

"My gosh, Sister Yaoyao! I'm not even past my thirties, but my skeleton is already loud and my knees are ready to pop! I swear you don't need to be a cougar before your knees pop."
Tang Moyu's frown deepened as she couldn't understand what Li Meili and Gu Yuyao were talking about. Were they talking about something so cryptic that she couldn't understand what they were saying?
Seeing her confused reaction, Gu Yuyao doubled in her laughter as she poked Li Meili's side, gesturing towards the oblivious empress.
"Oh my gosh, Moyu! You still have a lot to learn when it comes to romance, my sweet summer child!" Li Meili told Tang Moyu, much to the latter's confusion.
"I have no idea what the hell you two are talking about." She admitted.
Lu Tianxin blushed hard next to her and hid her red face behind her glass, while Lin Qianrou continued to cough next to her, her eyes stung with tears. She should have known better than to drink anything while Li Meili was around, it could really be the death of her.
Gu Yuyao snickered and winked back at Li Meili. The night had just started and they still had a lot of time to have fun. Perhaps, this was also the right time for the empress to learn a few things from her and Li Meili.
"Don't worry, Sister Meili. I'm pretty sure Mr. Qin is experienced enough to teach her." The Gu heiress sang out. "You know what they say, once the cherry is popped, your libido goes insane."
