"They stayed up late and passed out from exhaustion." Feng Tianyi said next to her. "It's not every day you can see them like this." He shrugged before pulling his wife, leading her to the kitchen so that he could prepare breakfast for the two of them.
"Come on, Moyu. I'm starving." He grumbled.
Tang Moyu arched a brow at him before running her fingers through her messy hair. They also went to bed really late last night and she felt a little exhausted from all the things that had happened lately.
"Urgh, you could have gone out of bed on your own. Why do you have to drag me with you?"
Some extra hours of sleep sounded more enticing to the empress, compared to eating something early this morning.
"But that defeats the purpose of having you to myself, even for just a moment." Feng Tianyi replied before allowing her to take a seat at the cleaned dinner table and went to the fridge to take something from the inside.
He came back to his wife with a red velvet cake in his hand, singing a happy birthday song with a wide smile on his face. Tang Moyu couldn't suppress the smile that bloomed on her face as she waited for Feng Tianyi to give her her birthday cake. She'd expected that he would prepare something for her.
"Happy birthday, Moyu. I'm sorry I couldn't give this to you yesterday." Feng Tianyi said and gave her a peck on the cheek. "Baobao and Little Star said this is one of your favorite cakes, so I made one for you."
He didn't mention that he had a hard time thinking about what to give her on her birthday, and had ended up baking her favorite cake. He wanted to give her something expensive, something she would love, but Feng Tianyi realized that those expensive material things wouldn't suit his wife's personality. Fortunately for him, he got a pair of little buns who were always ready to give him a hand when it comes to their mother.
"You baked this for me?"
"En. It's all yours. Don't worry about the twins. They won't ask for a share, so please enjoy it to your heart's content." He assured her. Since it was her birthday, the little buns wouldn't dare to eat their daddy's present for their mommy. "Now make a wish, baby."

"What did you wish for?" Feng Tianyi took a seat next to her and sliced the cake for her.
"Hmm? That's a secret. It won't come true if I tell you." The empress then took a spoonful of her sliced cake and devoured it eagerly.
Tang Moyu loved this particular unique cake because of its flavor and Feng Tianyi could understand why. This kind of cake has a dynamic taste and texture that no other cake had. He wanted to take her, make love to her. but as Tang Moyu said earlier, they were too tired and would need to get a little more rest, especially for her, who had just come back from her long business trip.
With heroic effort, Feng Tianyi parted from his wife, away from her soft body that he wanted nothing but to indulge. At least he wouldn't have to worry about not seeing his wife anymore. That one week apart made him more aware of how much influence Tang Moyu had over him, but he regretted not one bit.
"By the way, you received a package yesterday. I forgot to inform you," he said, trying to suppress his urges and change the topic between them, while Tang Moyu continued to eat her cake.
