"What is this?" Feng Tianyi frowned. He took a stack of photos from her desk and saw Xing Yiyue on it with another man he didn't recognize.
"Cheng Ning said someone mailed this to me today. No sender or return address." Tang Moyu pursed her lips nervously. "But the photos and the date…"
She needed not to complete her words as Feng Tianyi understood at once what these photos meant. This was related to what happened to his wife six years ago.
"There's also this hard disk drive, but I haven't seen it yet." She told her husband.
Feng Tianyi rounded her desk and checked the old hard drive on her hands.
"Can you ask Cheng Ning to get a docking station for us? I want to see what this is about." He told Tang Moyu, to which she immediately did over the intercom connecting her to her assistant.
Feng Tianyi had a gist of what the hard drive had inside. Perhaps the CCTV recording that night wasn't truly lost, but was actually stolen by someone.
It had been hard for him and He Lianchen to find the woman he spent the night with because none of the hotel staff was willing to cooperate with them and claimed that the recording wasn't running that fateful night.
Someone purposely sent it to his wife today and he wondered who else knew about it. Who was this person that sent these evidences against Xing Yiyue? Was he trying to help Tang Moyu, or did he have other plans and motives of why he sent these?
It didn't take long for the couple to wait as Cheng Ning came to her boss's office, panting hard with the docking station on her hand. She gave it to Tang Moyu and excused herself while Feng Tianyi switched with his wife and sat on her office chair, connecting the docking station to her computer.
"It's encrypted." He said when he attempted to access it's content. "Whoever it is, he or she doesn't want anyone to get their hands on this but you."
Tang Moyu frowned as she leaned over to take a peek.
"Should I call someone from the IT department to see if they could hack into this hard drive?" She asked. It was already late in the afternoon and she was only checking these now.
How long it would take for someone to hack on it anyway?
"Don't bother, I'll do it myself." Feng Tianyi said and shed his outer coat, passing it to his wife.
"You know how to hack it?" Tang Moyu was surprised. She had no idea that her husband had interest in hacking computers too.
She then hung his dark coat on the wooden coat rack inside her office and went back to see how he would do it.
The devil gave her a wide grin.
"You aren't the only one who has several tricks under your sleeves, Baby. I haven't done this for a long time, but let me see if I could crack it." He said before his fingers flew too fast for Tang Moyu's eyes and several codes suddenly appeared on the monitor of her computer.
The devil's assumptions were correct. On the other side of the city, Zhang Jiren sat idly on his chair inside the office, staring blankly at the invitation he received from Xiao Xing Diamond Co.
"Have you sent Tang Moyu the files I gave you?" He asked his assistant nonchalantly.
"Yes, Boss. It should be in the empress's hands by now." His assistant replied.
Zhang Jiren nodded and placed the invitation card facing down on top of his desk. Xing Yiyue's world would start to get smaller soon until she had nowhere to escape.
"Good. Then I only need to wait to watch a spectacular drama soon." He said.
