"Shobe's intel is so inaccurate; he said 300 boats, but there's at least 400 or 500 here!" Arsan shook her head, "There may be more ships than fish by then."

"I don't think those big boats for racing. They are the main ships of those big fleets." Avril said, "And I can't imagine we'll have to compete with so many ships next."

Avril's words did remind Raine, and he looked at the conspicuous large warships.

At this point, he noticed that the Navy ships all had a uniform gun symbol.

And the others... All kinds of symbol

When he met Chike, Raine heard about the bounty fleet for the first time, and it sounded like it was the fleet that specialized in bounty missions.

They also have a classification. The lowest Raine has heard of so far is the "sub-G class", followed by the "G-class", which is easy to understand. The sub-G class is slightly inferior to the G-class.

It seems that sea monsters, navies, pirate groups, and bounty fleets are all classified according to a uniform standard.

Sea monsters and pirate groups certainly would not dare to appear here, so the large ships without naval markings must be the main ships of the bounty fleet.

Raine noticed that the types and sizes of these boats were also somewhat different, and they all had another symbol on their flags.

That design resembled an open clam with a large pearl in the middle. The appearance of the pearls in the emblem of each ship varies. Some look like mermaids gathered, others like a wine barrel, but can still see the general outline of the pearl.

It's like a pirate's skull pattern. The skull pattern symbolizes the pirate group, but each pirate group's skull is also slightly different.

There was only one large ship with a flag that was neither a cannon nor a bounty symbol but something in the shape of a rice cob. This ship followed a dozen transports of about 20 meters and had the same pattern as the main ship.

Raine later learned that this symbolized the Chamber of Commerce ships, who were also the fishing tournament organizers and the recyclers.

Raine knew a new force - the Chamber of Commerce!

Avril and the girls went off to wander around the trading market to buy some food and drink and see what fishing gear they need.

With the fishing tournament still a few days away and a constant flow of boats coming, finding a place to dock wasn't easy.

Raine was glad they were not too late and could still find a place to dock.

Terry was the most experienced in the competition and explained the rules of the fishing competition to everyone.

The rules are simple: before the tournament starts, all boats are distributed in a designated spot.

This location has no advantages, and although people can roughly determine where the cucumber fish will appear, it is only accurate to a 10 nautical mile radius.

10 nautical miles, Raine needs to take an hour to sail from one end to the other at full speed and downwind. This is not a small area.

Of course, when the cucumber fish appears, the fish are bound to gather in a certain area, and that's when the boat friction begins.

The choice of location at the beginning is also important, but it is a matter of luck so omitted for now.

As soon as the cucumber fish appears, all boats start fishing.

Cucumber fish often move in families of four or five together and are extremely agile and alert. They are exceptionally difficult to catch as their fast speed underwater.

In addition, the most powerful aspect of the cucumber is that they have good eyesight and intelligence so that they can dodge fishing boats overhead in advance. By the time the crew drops their nets, they are likely long gone.

All in all, apart from their nourishing and aphrodisiac properties, the super-difficulty of catching them is one of the reasons they fetch such a high price.

"Terry, do you know the previous championship score?" Raine asked quietly. Now that there were boats all around, he only dared to whisper when no one was around.

"Well, I can't remember all the previous first place, but the one I remember more is that someone once caught 170 in four hours. That's definitely an amazing achievement."

"Dad, is there someone really caught 170? I've watched fishing competitions a lot over the years and the most I've ever seen was 70 or 80 fish, which was achieved only by the strongest boats with the strongest crew. An ordinary merchant ship would be lucky to catch 10" Arsan said.

Terry recalled, "That ship... do you know whose ship it was?"

"Who?" All three women looked curious.

"It was the most powerful frigate in the F-class bounty fleet - Captain White-Haired Adan."

"What! Captain White-Haired Adan! That's really a legendary captain! He was my idol when I was a kid!"

"Yeah, he captured many G-rank pirate crew leaders!"

"Yes, that was back in his youth, he lost all his hair later and now he is known as White Beard Adan! I hear he is a businessman now."

"And I heard he used to brag in the tavern!"

"Ahem, ladies and gentlemen, let's get back to the point!"Raine coughed.

"Yes, Captain!"

"Well, the price of cucumber fish has doubled this time, a fish worth 2 pearls! Anyway, I think we should try to catch as many as we can." Terry said.

"Okay, I already have a plan. You guys don't need to catch, Avril you pretend to control the bow, also relay my instructions. Terry, Armin, Arsan, you control the sails and steer the boat. I'll do the rest." said Raine.

White stood there wagging his tail incessantly and looking at Raine excitedly.

Well, Raine forgot to assign White a task, "White, you... once I catch the fish, you help them pull the rope."

White was pleased when he got the task, his tail wagging like a propeller.

Raine glanced up and saw the little Booty standing on White's head... this 0.1 combat power guy seemed to want a mission too.

Raine really couldn't think of a mission for it, so he found a random thing, "Little Booty, just pay attention to where Shobe is."

"Aye, Captain!" The crew took their orders.

As Avril looked up, her eyes fell on the boardwalk on the shore and she suddenly said in a deep voice, "Captain, someone's coming."

Five burly sailors approached shoulder to shoulder, disdainfully disparaging the ships around them as they walked. Finally, their eyes fell on Raine.

The shiny metal bow and stern, the metal reinforced hull, the superb planking seams, the brand new hull...

"Yo, this little shit boat has something!" One of the men said, jumping straight onto the Raine, "And a few chicks, very good!"
