“Then, what about Helan Fangnian…” Yue Tingfeng probed further.
This question made Yan Qingsi hesitate a little. It was not like the previous blunt and quick rejection. This one, however, made her think a little. She replied after a moment of thought. “Nope.”
Yue Tingfeng was slightly frustrated. He asked “Why did you hesitate on that one?”
“Truly, I was a little shaken then. My feelings toward him were conflicted at the very least. And I didn’t know that I never really loved him then. However, with time, we both drifted apart till now. So the takeaway would mean that I can love whoever I choose and I know as clear as ever, it’s impossible for me to have any feelings toward him,” Yan Qingsi explained.
