Chapter 575: Violet

Charles walked past multiple alleys but soon stopped as he reached a small street named Bell's Lane and shifted his gaze toward the left side house. It was a small one-storied house with no fence around it.

The house's exterior featured a low-pitched roof with wide eaves supported by decorative brackets. The house also had a front porch with decorative pillars, detailing fretwork, a symmetrical design with evenly spaced windows, and a central entrance featuring a decorative door with intricate carvings and stained glass—the house's walls made of stone, with decorative cornice.

Although Violet's house was still two streets away, something else in this house caught his attention and made him stop there.

At that moment, he saw a unique board placed in front of the house and strange words written on it.

Although Charles couldn't remember what language it was, he strangely felt he could read it using the Eye of the Runes skill!

He instantly activated his [Eye of the Runes] skill and started reading it after some difficulty.

'Kaalam kalithu eluntha kanagan silambil

paduthu vaithanna sevvai marungin

eduthu niruthanna ittu arunchiruneri

thodutha vaaliyar thunai punar kaanavar

idukan seiyaathu iyangunar iyakkum

Kaalam meemisai aruppan penaathu

idichura nivappin iyavuk kondu olugith.'

'What a strange language. But I feel somewhat familiar upon reading these lines. Let's see what these words say.' He muttered inwardly and started to decipher.

'Without worrying about protection,

you have traveled a huge distance in time

with rightful way, near lying boulders (Difficulties)

that appear like they had been placed on a difficult,

narrow path that looks like it was set there, on the

time path where hunters who shoot arrows,

will be there with their wives, but they do not cause sorrow to

those who travel on the time path created

with boulders, but guide them on the path."

As he deciphered the meanings, he felt this looked more like a prophecy and fell into deep thoughts.

'I can vaguely guess this prophecy is some guidance... But who are these hunters? For whom was this prophecy created?' Just as he blinked his eyes, he noticed that those strange words started to disappear and were replaced with an empty board!

'What the heck? Someone is watching me all this time?' A chill went up his spine.

Simultaneously, the house's entrance door opened with a creak, and a young woman in her mid-twenties walked out. She was around 160cm tall and had fair skin, slightly wavy black hair, green eyes, an oval face, and a slim physique.

She wore a dress with a high neckline and long sleeves made of lace. It also had a fitted bodice accentuating her waist and a full, flowing skirt falling to the floor. The skirt was adorned with ruffles, pleats, and layers of lace. The dress also had decorative elements such as embroidery, beading, and lace trim.

She also wore a violet hat with a wide brim, unique violet gloves, and a black parasol. Overall, her dress appeared elegant and refined, reflecting the fashion of the developed city.

It was none other than Violet!

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Charles Nightwind. I heard a lot about you." She said with a smile and gave him an elegant bow while taking off her hat.

Meanwhile, Charles made a forced smile and nodded.

"I'm surprised by seeing the smartest person of the Miracle City appearing before me, Miss Violet." He paused for a moment while keeping his guard up and asked further in a solemn tone.

"How did you know I was going to come this way?"

Meanwhile, Violet shook her head and let out a deep sigh.

"You just now ranked up to a Legend Rank, young man. Although your spells and intellectual artifact are strong and powerful enough to assassinate a Legend Rank powerhouse like Brooks, they aren't enough to kill all Destiny Conquerors. As for the answer to your question, I have implanted my worm parasites into more than a million people in this city. I know every action of yours. I know how you killed Brooks, stole the rainbow-colored Truth Line from Fate Professor, and even how the Divine Organization managed to kill the Elder Seer. Come inside; I don't like fighting you right now."

Saying so, she turned around and started walking inside.

'F*ck! Did she truly implant her worm parasite into a million people and watch everyone's movements all day? How did she achieve it?' Charles couldn't help but be taken aback.

"You don't need to be so wary of me. Unlike other mystics, the only power I've is my mind. As long as you have that purple fire, I can't control you." Her calm voice came from inside, causing him to frown deeper.

After a slight hesitation, Charles sighed deeply and decided to walk inside.

Simultaneously, he took out his pocket watch and checked the time.

'10.54 A.M. I still have a few more minutes left.' He muttered inwardly and looked at the house's interior while walking in.

The interior of the house had high ceilings and large, open rooms. The main living area also had a fireplace with a decorative mantel. The windows of the house appeared large and featured decorative mullions. The house also had a separate dining room, one bedroom on the left side, a kitchen, and finally bathroom on the backside.

Charles also noticed a small garden in the back, with ornamental plants and trees, and was surprised.

'She looks like a young woman who enjoys her everyday life peacefully.' But he knew it might be one of her tricks and decided to remain cautious as he stepped into the living area.

Meanwhile, Violet stood at the center of the main hall and invited him to sit on the lawson sofa placed a few feet away from her.

"What are you scheming?" Charles asked while scanning the sofa and the surrounding walls and sitting on it.

Meanwhile, Violet also moved towards the opposite chair, sat on it quietly, and revealed a bright smile.

"Are you nervous? Wait. Hanna, bring some Angel Wine for our special guest." She turned her gaze towards the kitchen and said calmly.

Then, she crossed her legs and turned her gaze towards Charles.

"Do you know why I invite you here even though you plan to kill me?" She asked with a smile.

On the other hand, Charles shook his head and answered truthfully.

"I'm not sure. But you must have a method to enslave me while talking to me. Some consciousness corruption-type spell?"

This time, a flash of surprise appeared on Violet's face.

"Unfortunately, I don't have such type of powerful spell. If I had such a spell within my soul, I would've long enslaved more of the Legend Rank powerhouses and taken control of this Miracle city." She paused for a moment and then added.

"I arranged this meeting not to kill or enslave you but to tell you something important. It's about the true identity of 'Asher.'"

"True identity?" Charles knew this woman was scheming something and was only delaying time but decided to play along.

"Yes. What do you know about them? I want to know what information you've found in this short span of time." Curiousness and a hint of craziness appeared on her face as she asked.

'What kind of situation is this? Aren't I suppose to wait for the right time and kill her? Why does it feels like I'm talking to my long-lost friend?' Although Charles sensed a small anomaly, he didn't mind it and decided to answer.

"She belongs to a Syreni Race and has blood-related abilities. And I'm also suspecting that she must be a queen of some Syreni kingdom in the past. That must be the reason she called herself Blood Queen."

"Oh? Not bad! Not bad at all. But why are you keep calling Asher 'Her.' She is not alone-" Her face abruptly froze as she recalled something and hurriedly stood up.

"F*ck! I almost forgot that Hanna can't do kitchen work right now. Wait, I'll get the 'Angel Wine' myself." Saying so, she hurriedly approached the kitchen and started making noises by dropping glasses and plates.

"Sorry! Sorry! My hands slipped." She shouted like a clumsy young girl and soon returned with a serving tray with two glasses of whitish-red liquids before placing them on the tea table.

"Please make yourself comfortable, Mr. Charles." She said with a smile, took one glass from the tray, and returned to her seat.

Afterwards, she leaned comfortably on the soft couch and sipped Angel Wine.

Meanwhile, Charles scanned the wine bottle multiple times and checked if any strange poisons or parasites were hidden.

After confirming that it was safer to drink, he finally took the wine and took a sip.

But a moment later, he felt his whole body bathed in a warm light and elated. It was an amazing feeling that even made him relax his guard.

"You like it? Unfortunately, it's very hard to make this wine in this city. But thanks to you, I managed to get my hands on the main ingredient and made this wine quickly." Violet said with a sigh.

"Thanks to me? What is the main ingredient?" Charles showed a puzzled look and tilted his head.

"Hehehe, are you interested in learning about this unique dish? Well, I'll tell you. Its main ingredient is none other than the human brain! Thankfully, Hanna was nearby when the defensive array went inactive." As Violet spoke, her mouth twisted and formed into a creepy smile, giving goosebumps all over his body.
