It had been 30 minutes since the battle had ended and the last human died.

The blooded had turned into liquid once more and were currently watering the grass.

On the other hand the Rabisu were feasting like there was no tomorrow and weren't even leaving behind the bones of the enemy armies.

Currently Exedra was sitting cross legged on the ground.

His wounds had stopped bleeding and it had become slightly easier to move his body around.

But if you asked him if he was feeling better, his answer would be a resounding no.

He knew full well that the worst was yet to come.

Lisa : "Jerk!"

Valerie : "Hardheaded Jackass!"

Lailah : "Dummy!"

Bekka : "Suicidal idiot!"

Exedra's wives had finally stopped crying about five minutes ago.

But they'd been chewing him out ever since.

They weren't even concerned with the vampire queen at the moment.

Lisa and Lailah were yelling at him with tears still in their eyes and runny noses.

Valerie and Bekka were swearing at him with words he hadn't even heard before.

'Is it wrong of me to still find them all cute?'

""""Are you listening to us?!""""

"Yes girls of course I am."

No he wasn't.

He got carried away and started imagining naughty things.

Despite that, he felt awful for making the girls worry so much.

For him there was nothing worse than seeing his family cry.

"Why do you always have to make us worry about you?" Lailah was back to crying, the sight of her husband plummeting from the sky had been too much to bear.

He reached out and took her hand before pulling her into his lap.

"It is not intentional my love." He nuzzled his head into her neck in an attempt to ease her nerves.

"To grow, we must struggle. Despite my gifts, I am not exempt from that universal law. I risk my life to grow stronger now so that one day nothing will be taken from us and we can live freely."

Lailah knew the truth behind her husband's words but she just couldn't bring herself to accept them.

Watching the man she loved be injured so severely was a heavy burden on her mind.

She wanted nothing more than to scream at him and proclaim that she did not care if he was the strongest, or even the most feared.

She just wanted him to stay alive so that they could enjoy their family.

But she knew telling him such a thing would spit on his resolve so she swallowed the words and instead clung to him tighter.

Nearby, Mira was staring at Audrina with a confused expression.

"So… you weren't a kitty?"

"No Mira I wasn't." Audrina shook her head and smiled sadly.

While Exedra was making up with his wives, Mira was staring at the strange woman that she'd apparently been carrying around for several months.

"You're the idiot queen!" Mira suddenly remembered exactly where she'd seen this lady before.

She ran into her with her grandmother and she was sleeping in their garden!

Audrina felt the veins in her forehead bulge.

"Sweet girl… where did you get that name from?"

"Grandma Yara!" Mira answered.

'You scaly little witch I'll definitely get you back for that!'

"Why were you pretending to be a kitty?" Mira suddenly asked.

Audrina suddenly became slightly nervous as she looked into Mira's big round eyes that were still puffy from all the tears she'd shed earlier.

"Ah… Well I wanted to learn how to get you and your family to like me." She honestly answered.

"Why?"

"Well… because I love your daddy very much and I want to be one of your mommies too, but your dad is a very distant man so I wanted to learn how to approach him."

"So..you don't like Mira?" The young girl's eyes welled up with tears once more.

Before a single tear could even fall, Audrina wrapped her in a comforting hug.

"I like Mira so much." She whispered.

"All of the time you spent taking care of me and talking to me, all of the time I spent watching you train, it brought me more joy than I've known in thousands of years. I am truly grateful."

Mira said nothing and instead returned the vampires embrace… maybe this woman wasn't such an idiot after all.

Exedra and his wives were watching the pair with curious eyes before Lisa turned to face Exedra with a dangerous glint in her eye.

"Honey…how long have you known she wasn't a cat?"

"Ah… not long." He lied.

His wives obviously weren't fooled since he was a terrible liar and could barely look them in the eye presently.

The girls simultaneously nodded to each other to punish their husband when he wasn't on death's door.

A bitter chill ran down Exedra's spine and he weakly stood up and stretched his body.

"H-hey maybe you should take it easy.." Valerie rushed to Exedra's side and held up his arm to support him.

"It's alright my love, the hard part is over now. Naturally we have to go see the spoils though right?"

The Rabisu had finished eating and they all gathered around Exedra and his family, seemingly protecting him while also waiting for his next order.

Exedra looked at the large steel gate that blocked off the city.

His mission from the system was still showing up as incomplete so he figured there must be something inside he had yet to do.

"Break down the gate. Capture every human you find. Try not to damage the city too much, this will be our home after all."

The army roared before they all rushed forward to obey their master's command.

-

In a pure white room, a radiant androgynous man was sitting at a desk reading a book.

He had black hair that fell to his feet, creamy white skin and a pair of intense golden eyes.

His face could be considered more beautiful than a woman's and if it weren't for his lean and muscular physique, many would mistake him for one.

The man suddenly looked up from his book with a pained expression.

"Come here my child.."

Suddenly, a small white light entered the room and orbited the man sadly.

"Tell me what happened to you.."

The light spoke to the man in a language only he could understand.

Throughout the entirety of the conversation, a painful expression was present on the man's face.

He cupped his hands together before scooping up the small ball of light.

"So you've suffered a lot… worry not my child, I will find you a new body as soon as possible."

The light flashed with words of thanks before the man stored it inside of a gem hanging around his neck.

"A union between the new demon lord and the vampires… could the dragons be involved as well?" The man muttered.

This did not bode well at all, certain actions would have to be taken.
