He desperately wanted to protest, yet when he started to speak Exedra looked at him and he froze.
Those eyes that were seemingly daring him to speak sent chills down his spine and prompted him to realize that his opinion would be entirely unwelcome. 'Such a doting father… my king, he's just like you.'
Exedra had long planned something like this but was simply waiting on the chance.
Since he knew he could purchase affinity stones from the system shop, he planned to buy some for Mira and Lisa.
Naturally he knew that Lisa was worried about fitting in as a lesser dragon and even though he would kill anyone who dared to belittle her, he didn't know if he could be there to step in and save her before damage was done.
Although he had a plan for when he'd gift Lisa one, Mira getting one here was a fine opportunity. "Here hold this."

"Okay!" Mira quickly heeded her father's words and crushed the stone with her tiny hands.
The next second cold air began to shoot out from the shards of rock and flowed into her.
Hajun and Bekka held their breath in awe.
They were literally witnessing the use of one of the rarest items in this world!
They had to thoroughly engrave this piece of history into their minds.
Eventually Mira absorbed all of the essence and the area became completely silent. "So… how do you feel my little cub?"

Mira didn't respond and instead opened her mouth wide and released a blast of cold air into the sky that turned into a small shower of snow.

Exedra was originally taken aback by his daughters sudden blood thirst but when he remembered their first meeting he realized that was pretty in line with her personality.
The worry that he might be raising a tyrant never crossed his mind.
Whether Mira grew up and wanted to be loved or feared, it would not change the fact that he was her father and he would love her all the same.
Exedra focused a little bit on the aura of Mira and he could now feel clearly the aura of a noble dragon. "It's my job to kill for you my daughter not the other way around."
"B-but Mira wants to kill things with her power." Despite the morbid nature of her words, the little girls expression was quite sorrowful as if she'd just been told she couldn't have cake for breakfast.
Bekka took this moment to swoop in and get some mother daughter time. "Well you can go hunting with me? What do you say?"
Mira looked back and forth between old man Hajun and her father before answering.
It was as if she was trying to gauge if it was okay to go hunting with her battle maniac mother.
Seeing them both nod she finally accepted with a bright smile on her face. "Yeah let's go!"
Suddenly Mira's eyes began to get heavy and her body began to go slightly limp. "S-so tired…"
"Well you did do a lot today lady Mira. Even though we're dragons proper rest is still necessary." Hajun said before he bowed to the three of them and walked away.
Bekka quickly took Mira into her arms and carried her towards the baths. "I'll go get her ready for bed husband I'll see you later."
After Exedra was left alone his thoughts overtook him.
The way Mira had gotten so sleepy out of the blue was… strange.
He wasn't sure if he was being overly paranoid or what but it was certainly bothering him.

In his battle in the colosseum, Exedra realized the importance of spells as well as his weaponry so he was going to sort through the spell books in the library to see if he could find anything useful, or better yet a spell that he could evolve.
It didn't make sense to have all of these resources and not make use of them after all.
Reaching his destination, Exedra quickly picked up a variety of spell books before he sat down at a table by the window.
The library was incredibly spacious and beautiful with rows of books both ancient and new lining every corner.
The large glass window Exedra sat next to provided a gentle view of the surrounding mountains and even the town below.
Exedra felt the most comfortable in this place.
It reminded him of the days he'd spend reading without a care in the word well into the night.
With an imperceptible smile on the corner of his lips, Exedra picked up the first book.
