He still needed to keep some of it in case of emergencies. But even then, as a tier two, six-star martial artist, he could still weave between the beasts easily with the Peak Mastery Shadowmist Ghost Step. Plus, he had two other martial techniques at Peak Mastery. Unless a tier four beast appeared, he could still fight a tier three without too much of an issue.
Still, he knew it was stupid to fight against a tier three beast on his own.
“Come here you animals!” Xiang Ning activated his taunt and one of the Tyrant Spiders rushed toward him.
The martial artist that was fighting against it was left in a daze. Why did the Tyrant Spider just leave?
Xiang Ning was staring at the charging Tyrant Spider and was surprised by its speed. Is Taunt this useful? He remembered how the students hadn’t even reacted that much when he had used it on them. Knowing how rash teenagers could be, why didn’t they rush out to whack him? But what he didn’t know was that, because of Balamu, the beasts were in the berserk status. Any stimulus would send them into a flying rage.
Looking at the spider’s spit-filled mouth, Xiang Ning was reminded of the Tyrant Spider that almost sent him to his grave just a few months back. He gritted his teeth as he didn’t expect the martial artist to come and support him.
One should only rely on themselves!
He activated Keen Observation and used his Mental Power to augment his slashes. He used both Mountain-Splitting Slash and Triple Slash to burst down the Tyrant Spider.
Li Yunfei was observing him and was just about to yell at the martial artist that was standing there in a daze. But when he saw Xiang Ning raising his long sword, he cursed.
“Die!” Xiang Ning roared as his longsword slashed downward. The Tyrant Spider was paralyzed by the sheer pressure. It was only frozen in place for the blink of an eye, but it was enough for him to chop off one of its legs. Green blood sprayed outwards as its leg flew high.
The second slash came down and Xiang Ning took out three of its eyes. The Tyrant Spider roared and its strength increased. The special trait of beasts was that they would get stronger as they were wounded.
The Tyrant Spider raised its other three front legs and tried to stab Xiang Ning.
“Not good! Be careful!” Li Yunfei threw his sword toward the Tyrant Spider’s leg, but it was too late. His own squad had let him down!
But Xiang Ning's third slash was the strongest and fastest. Green blood splattered everywhere as the Tyrant Spider finally fell.
Just as he was catching his breath, a sword flew towards him. He dodged at the last minute as the sword pierced the Tyrant Spider’s head.
Xiang Ning wanted to shout which idiot threw the sword, then saw Li Yunfei awkwardly smiling.
“Sorry, I thought you couldn’t block that attack.” Li Yunfei punched and destroyed the Tyrant Spider’s abdomen. It was dead for sure.
Xiang Ning rolled his eyes. It would be so stupid if he died because of friendly fire. But still, he was a reasonable person. He retrieved the sword and returned it to Li Yunfei.
Li Yunfei took the sword and killed another Tyrant Spider. “Thanks for the assist!”
Looking at how Li Yunfei was smiling, Xiang Ning thought there was nothing else he should do here, thus he used Shadowmist Ghost Step and ran away. He left without leaving anything but pools of blood.
“Squad leader, is he angry?”
“Probably not. After this battle, call Xiao Erzi into my office. That bastard almost gave me a heart attack. It’s time for special training!”
Xiao Erzi felt like he was being framed. He was already fighting for its life but he didn’t expect the spider to run toward Xiang Ning. He wanted to help, but the battle was over in five seconds!
“Squad leader! The Bloodthirsty Widow is approaching!” one of the martial artists screamed as he saw a spider the size of an elephant on the horizon. Unlike the dark green color of the Tyrant Spider, its exoskeleton was blood-red.
“It finally appeared! Kill the remaining Tyrant Spiders and go support the others! Some of you, follow me and maintain the perimeter! I’ll personally kill that damn spider!”
As for Xiang Ning, he had obtained almost four thousand Fury Points, but his experience didn’t increase. It seemed that a tier three beast was not as strong as he thought. Except for its blood, the beast didn’t even manage to touch a single hair of Xiang Ning.
