Chapter 190 Insanity

Just as Wang Han thought this would be the end for him, an angry shout rang across the land. Xiang Ning had activated Taunt at the very last moment, as it guaranteed the attention of the Kaiser Aurumsaur. At the same time, he anticipated an attack. One must remember that he was only a tier three martial artist!

He didn’t know if the Charging Toss would successfully push the Kaiser Aurumsaur away, but he knew that it would definitely break through to tier five if he didn’t immediately do something. If that happened, the destruction and death it unleashed would be unfathomable!

Wang Han watched as the Kaiser Aurumsaur, which had almost reached him, suddenly turned around and charged at the mystery spiritual cultivator instead. Wang Han’s brain froze; the livestream audience was also in shock.

They were in disbelief of the guts this tier three spiritual cultivator had to provoke a tier four, nine-star Kaiser Aurumsaur, sacrificing himself for a stranger!

That’s right. Sacrificing himself. A tier four, nine-star beast could kill a tier three human in a slap. Beast Generals were just that powerful; they had the complete upper hand against humans. They were far stronger than Beast Soldiers. It wasn’t just a simple matter of strength, they were built differently!

“Run!”

“Stop running at it, RUN AWAY!”

The audience screamed for the man to run as they watched the livestream while Li Yunfei helplessly watched on. He hated himself for not being able to control the Kaiser Aurumsaur, and for not being strong enough. It was all too late!

The next second, Xiang Ning collided hard with the Kaiser Aurumsaur. He felt like his organs had been rearranged while the Kaiser Aurumsaur slid two meters backward from the force. Only two meters, then it slapped him straight into the air.

He landed hard, tumbling on the ground until he stopped at Wang Han’s feet, spewing a mouthful of blood.

When he saw the notification informing him that he had leveled up, he grinned. However, he admitted that he almost died there. If his Heaven’s Key hadn’t absorbed a majority of the impact, he would have died or been on his last breath!

Wang Han’s camera had captured it all and the live chat erupted once more.

“Fuck! He survived! My brother, you’re awesome!”

“AWESOME!

“A hero, he’s a true hero!”

“Do you see his smile? He must be relieved because he saved a man, and that he’s still alive. What a man he is!”

The live chat had gone mad over the unbelievable scene. Every person who had fought in battle understood that the collision meant certain death, but they were witnessing a miracle.

“You useless streamer, go save him!”

“What’re you doing standing there?!”

Wang Han snapped to his senses and quickly ran to Xiang Ning, who had already shed his Heaven’s Key Armor. He had no other choice, as the impact had caused too much damage and his body had sustained much trauma as well. He was having difficulty focusing his Mental Power and couldn’t maintain the armor.

“Oh no, looks like he’s been poisoned by the Dark Aurumsaurs! And he looks so young!”

“Fuck, he must’ve had a death wish!”

“Is he crazy? He didn’t leave when he was already poisoned, even trying to save a stranger. Why was he so stupid?”

“Brother, brother, are you alright? What should I do? What should I do? Someone! Help!” Wang Han screamed for help, but everyone nearby was occupied with battle and couldn’t rush over in time.

The Kaiser Aurumsaur was already locked in an intense duel with Li Yunfei, who had arrived right after the collision.

Xiang Ning grabbed Wang Han’s shoulder, propping himself up, then wiped away the blood at the corner of his lips. “You need to leave immediately, the Kaiser Aurumsaur’s venom is potent. You’ll be poisoned if you stay.”

Wang Han felt guilty in the face of this pale young man who looked only sixteen or seventeen.

“I know, but you’re poisoned, too, and your injuries are severe. Follow me!” Wang Han wanted to support Xiang Ning by his arm but was shoved away.

“Leave me be!” Xiang Ning then sent a flying knife toward the Kaiser Aurumsaur. He was only strong enough to control one knife now.

“This is the best I can do to help you.” Xiang Ning’s breathing was difficult and ragged. He could initially attack and defend simultaneously with three blades, trapping the Aurumsaur, but now all he could do was help defend Li Yunfei, causing the beast to miss its target or slow down.

The livestream that was initially simmering with advice on how Wang Han could persuade Xiang Ning to leave fell silent. They watched the teenage boy sitting on the ground, panting heavily, yet still helping Li Yunfei with his Mental Power, feeling conflicting emotions.

Ninety percent of the livestream audience had never been to battle, with half of them school students and twenty percent ordinary civilians. They had never imagined war could be so terrifying. But during the past few months, they had witnessed the relentless battle between humans and beasts. They had seen how tiny humans looked in the face of a stampede, the way human soldiers gave their lives at the front lines. But they had never seen a teenager their age at the front line, staying to help despite being poisoned himself.

“You can do it!”

“You can do it!”

“You can do it!”

There was nothing else in the live chat except those simple words of encouragement. That was all they could do to support him!

The entire social platform of the Battle Network was consumed with this single livestream. Countless people tapped in out of curiosity but never logged off.

“Where the fuck are the other people? Why’re there only two people against a Kaiser?”

“There’s just too few of them, how will they beat it?!”

It was common knowledge that unless you were significantly stronger than one, it usually required many people working together to kill a Beast General. Now, all they saw was one teenager and a slightly stronger man fighting a Kaiser Aurumsaur. The power imbalance was just too large!

“Run, you’ll never win!!”

“Run? Look at the number of people in battle! If this Kaiser Aurumsaur arrives in a crowded area, can you imagine how many people will die?”

“What then? The child won’t be able to hold on any longer!”

As people argued over the internet, Xiang Ning had already swallowed four healing pills. His physical strength and Mental Power were slowly returning, and a second blade was moving out of its sheath.

The audience widened their eyes.

“Is… is he insane?”
