Chapter 225 Octoviolet Silversnake

“We should escape quickly. The Octoviolet Silversnake had been alerted to your presence. We can talk later at a safe spot.” Six immediately contacted Li Yunfei after discussing the situation with Old Zhou.

Xiang Ning nodded and carried Fang Hao outside.

Countless beasts were congregating toward the building as Bull stood far away. The building he was standing on wasn’t the tallest, but it offered a wide field of vision thanks to the absence of other buildings in its vicinity.

“Are you ready?” Bull asked another cult member holding a camera. He didn’t really care about it, but it was an order from the higher-ups, just like Bird and Toad did. Although their endings had been tragic, their beginning was still acceptable.

“Ready my lord. It’ll clearly record what’s happening.” Bull nodded and turned around to stab one of the rescue team members aiming for his neck.

“This is troublesome. How’d they find us here?” Bull threw the dead guy down the building.

......

Hundreds of kilometers away, the footage of Xiang Ning chasing away the horde of beasts was being circulated by everyone. Those that hadn’t seen it couldn’t even believe it at first. If people were to tell them that it was a clan leader that had done that, maybe it would have been more believable, but someone as young as Xiang Ning? They thought the ones saying it were idiots. As such, many people were arguing with each other, regardless of whether they were family, friends, or even couples.

“Wait, there’s another livestream! Were the Seven Deadly Sins invited by Xiang Ning?”

“Huh? I don’t see anyone. Is the previous idiot still alive?”

“Wasn’t he killed?”

“Impossible. This must all be an act.”

Many people entered the livestream, but no one explained anything to them for a long time. All they saw was a ruined city, but some of the viewers saw that a large number of beasts were gathering at one of the buildings.

“Why does it feel like the beasts were attracted by something over there?”

“Just who are these Seven Deadly Sins? How can they control the beasts like they please?”

......

Xiang Ning was carrying Fang Hao out of the bunker when his body warned him of imminent danger. It felt like he was being crushed by a mountain.

“Xiang Ning, why’d you stop? Quickly go!” Six was hurrying him up.

“Wait, Fang Hao is a bit heavy. I don’t think I can carry him.”

Old Zhou shook his head. We’re already in so much danger, why’re you still thinking about this? He is indeed still a child.

Six however knew that something was up. Xiang Ning wasn’t someone who was that irresponsible. Just as he wanted to say something, Xiang Ning had already thrown Fang Hao onto his shoulder. “Let’s go, but there’s a lot of beasts outside. Old Zhou, please open up a path for us.”

Six now knew what he meant. He turned toward the lower levels of the parking space and felt an ominous aura.

Old Zhou, however, didn’t know Xiang Ning or his temperament, so he merely nodded and proceeded to walk in front.

“Be careful,” Six warned Xiang Ning before he left.

Xiang Ning nodded and stood his ground. He didn’t follow the others. Fang Hao didn’t have the strength to turn back and check on him, so he assumed that Xiang Ning was following them. Old Zhou shook his head once again.

When everyone had left, Xiang Ning turned and entered the lower levels of the parking lot. The oppressive feeling had lessened by a lot, but he knew there was no escape. He had been marked.

Xiang Ning smiled. Looks like this Octoviolet Silversnake is indeed capable of rational thought.

Soon, he arrived at the lowest level of the parking lot. It was fairly undamaged and had no signs of battle. It was also fairly empty and devoid of debris. The only thing bothering him was an indescribable smell in the air. He chugged down a bottle of the cure and instantly felt better.

He stood near the entrance where there was light and was able to see at least 60% of the parking lot.

“Human, in your eyes, what am I?”

Xiang Ning was surprised by the voice. He could understand what it was saying but wasn’t so sure where it came from. He was nervous, but thought that he should be able to fight against a tier four Octoviolet Silversnake with the cure.

“Evil. Because of you, many people have lost their lives.”

“So I’m evil to you? I’ve never left this place, but you humans continued to send people over here to kill me.” Balamu slowly slithered out from the darkness.

Only then did Xiang Ning finally see the full body of the culprit behind the death of countless men. It was a silver snake with red stripes on its head. Its eyes were a sickly green, and could directly paralyze those who were looking at it with fear.

“You know about the berserk beasts?”

“Yes.”

“It’s all because of you.” Xiang Ning gritted his teeth.

“Humans and beasts are destined to fight against each other,” Balamu said coldly.

“You’ve broken the balance.”

“Balance? Those are just excuses.”

“It’s either you or me now.”

“Hmph. I’m done with your scheming.”

“You’ll die today.”

“You’re too weak,” the snake replied haughtily.

“Not necessary.” Xiang Ning took out Devourer and the Sovereign’s Throne. Balamu’s pressure was pushed back by Xiang Ning.

“Your strength doesn’t match that pressure. It might work on normal beasts, but not on me.”

“How about this?”

“Eight gates! Open Gate of Resting!”

Xiang Ning’s strength was increased onefold, but Balamu was still unimpressed.

“Gate of Life, open!”

This time Balamu was slightly interested.

“Gate of Pain, open!” Xiang Ning was already pushing his body to the limit. He felt red hot as a surge of power coursed through his body. At the same time, he felt his stamina rapidly decreasing.

“Human, cease your worthless struggle!” Balamu rushed forward. It no longer held back and was hell-bent on swallowing Xiang Ning.

Xiang Ning’s vitality was overflowing from his body after opening three gates. Usually, a beast would have turned tail and ran if it sensed him. After all, it could die from eating something with too much vitality—but Balamu was different.
