Chapter 24 A Bizarre Death

Blood flowed out of Chris’s mouth and his cap was knocked off by Odin revealing his face hidden underneath it.

Unlike his eerie voice, Chris’s appearance was childlike, looking relatively young. He looked like a high-schooler instead of a university student.

Odin understood why he wore a cap, after all, his appearance had no deterrence but with it, his face could be hidden and made him more mysterious.

He was a university student but his looks and actions were like an eighth-grade student.

Chris was grasped by Odin, unable to move, and was passively beaten up. Grant didn’t imagine things would develop to this stage. Gritting his teeth, he stopped the other two who were going to help.

Since Chris failed to defeat Odin, then the remaining had no chance of touching a single hair of Odin. Now providing help was equivalent to sending their head to Odin.

【Defeated Chris, gained 20 EXP.】

The message box popped out in front of Odin. Seeing it, Odin understood Chris had lost the power to resist and tossed Chris aside. Chris crashed onto a tree and spat out a mouthful of blood before fainting.

The remaining people vigilantly stared at Odin while raising their hands in trembling to defend Grant.

“How about it, Grant? What exactly can’t I have? How about I also made you lose the capability of thinking?” Sneering, Odin cracked his fist.

Although the noises were soft, it was unusually loud in the empty woods. The trembling duo heard this and began shivering even more.

“Heh, stop acting like a savage. It was just luck that Chris lost. No matter what, the Life Emblem isn’t something you can think about!” Grant was still acting tough but every word he uttered was filled with a slight tremble, unlike the initial haughtiness.

“Then, we’ll see about it.” Rolling his eyes, Odin circled the trio as if they were here to perform some acts and continued heading to the classroom.

Fortunately, he left early today, or else he would be late again. Odin patted the dust on his body, humming a tune while walking.

The duo who was blocking in front of Grant remained on the spot like a wooden dummy while Chris was full of injuries, a broken leg, and shattered ten fingers.

“Why are you daydreaming?! Hurry up and carry Chris back to the club!” Looking at his subordinates acting like a bunch of blockheads, Chris, who was here to cause trouble to Odin and backfired instead, was fuming.

The more Grant thought of this the more furious he was. Punching at the tree beside him, the bark of the tree even fell apart but this didn’t make his mood any better as though a mouthful of gas was stuck in his chest.

However, seeing Chris who was carried away by the duo, Grant was afraid of challenging Odin by himself. Wait for it, he definitely would teach Odin a lesson!

While Odin was having his class, he felt a sudden chill and sneezed a couple of times. Taking several pieces of tissue paper from his deskmate, Odin blew his nose clean. For whatever reasons, today he had a sense of foreboding.

If it was Grant this morning, who came knocking for him out of the blue, he had resolved the problem. However, the uneasiness in his heart didn’t weaken in the slightest.

Until noon after school time, when Odin saw the police and Grant outside, he finally realized where his uneasiness came from.

“It’s him, officer! He’s the murderer!” Grant was agitated with tears in his eyes.

At the end of the school day, there were numerous students around. The surrounding people halted their steps and looked at Odin and Grant bickering with each other.

“What’s the problem?” Student A whispered to his friend, Student B.

“I don’t know, I just heard something about murder?” Student B dared not to speak loudly fearing Odin would hear him and chose to end his life.

Odin disregarded the students who were pointing at him. He initially believed it was Grant acting but who could’ve thought Grant’s acting was so well? When did he murder someone?

It was just that Grant’s acting was too well done. Looking at Grant’s face full of anger and tears, Odin even suspected he really murdered someone but he forgot about it, let alone the surrounding students.

“Are you ill, Grant? I haven’t paid you back for the trouble you caused to me and now you’re accusing me of being a murderer?” Odin was amused since he didn’t know what kind of rabid dog he messed with.

“Officer, this morning, our Silver Snake’s Chris had a conflict with him. We initially thought it was just a fight between students but Odin actually beat someone to death!” Grant viciously glared at Odin.

Backtracking the time this morning while the duo was carrying Chris back to the club. Chris had actually woken up during the journey. Odin still had mercy on him, although he had caused a heavy injury to Chris, it wasn’t anything fatal. It was just a broken leg and hands, bedridden for one or two months was enough.

After the duo had settled down with Chris and applied some herbs to Chris, they went to search for a doctor for Chris. However, when the duo returned with the doctor, Chris had kicked the bucket.

“Ah!” The one who entered first screamed, sitting on the ground and covering his mouth in disbelief. Bits by bits crawling back as if trying to escape but his legs had turned into a deflated balloon, losing all of its air.

“What happened? What’s all the fuss about.” The second person entered with the doctor. When he saw the scene on the bed, his face darkened.

Even the doctor, who saw countless unsavable patients, was frozen on his spot.

“How… How is this possible… Vice-president Grant! Vice-president Grant! Something bad happened!” The man stormed out of the room, delivering the news.

Lying on the bed, Chris’s entirety was like a dried piece of meat, the entire skin was wrinkled. The pair of eyes were widened to its limit and the eyeballs protruded out as though witnessed something horrifying.

Blood ruptured from seven orifices, a disordered hair as if being trampled over. Ten of the fingertips were gone.

The most terrifying part was the bones that were broken by Odin, pierced through the flesh, exposing to the air.
