Ian walked to the front of the audience and the white big spotlight fell onto him. As the hall’s lights dimmed, he felt everyone’s eyes were on him.
He made a *clink clink clink* noise from the glass of champagne that was in his hand. Everyone turned to look at him with wide eyes.
Ian took a brief glance at all the celebrities who looked expensive with everything they wore. From their looks to their postures, Ian found himself looking at how the media trained everyone he saw.
And there were cameras at every angle and every corner. Thus, he knew the massage he was about to give would reach the ears of the public.
Even more, the news would and should create the buzz he needed for its launch.
Ian stood on the stage, looking out at the crowd of eager celebrities and reporters. He cleared his throat and adjusted the microphone, then began to speak.
"Good evening, everyone. Thank you for joining me tonight to hear some exciting news about Resident Evil. As you all know, the franchise has been a passion of mine ever since I published the first book, and I am thrilled to announce that the latest instalment will be launching on the 20th of next month. Resident Evil is finally going to launch as a video game!"
The crowd erupted into cheers and applause, and Ian waited for the noise to die down before continuing.
"I can promise you that this will be the most thrilling and terrifying experience yet, with all-new creatures, environments, and challenges. We've been working tirelessly to create an immersive experience that will keep you on the edge of your seats from start to finish."
Ian paused, looking around at the faces in the crowd, his eyes shining with excitement.
"I want to thank everyone who has been a part of this journey, from the talented artists and designers who brought this game to life, to the passionate fans who have supported us every step of the way. I can't wait for you all to experience Resident Evil like never before. Because we all know how the movie made everyone feel… So, I’m pretty sure the video game is going to be loved by many around the world!"
The crowd erupted into applause once again, and Ian stepped back from the microphone, a huge smile on his face. He knew that the launch of Resident Evil was going to be a huge success, and he was proud to be a part of it.
“Eeyan! Eeyan! Eeyan!”
The crowd started cheering.
“Thank you, everyone! Thank you! That was the exciting news I had to say. Now, I’ve someone really exciting to introduce! Ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to introduce to you a truly gifted musician and a true icon of the music industry. She has sold over 200 million records worldwide and won numerous awards throughout her career. Please give a warm welcome to the one and only, Sheela!”
Ian said loudly and everyone in the crowd applauded. Some gasped loudly and some others were ecstatic about who was joining them to their party.
“Sheela! Sheela Hannah! This is amazing!”
“Woooh! Get it, girl!!”
With everyone’s approval, Ian felt as if his grand announcement was taken to another level.

The woman on the stage stopped singing her lyrics as everyone including Ian clapped.
The entire crowd went crazy during her song.
“She sang really well, didn’t she…” Raelynn asked Ian and walked towards him from behind. She put her arm around his and looked at him in the eyes.
“Yeah, she was good. Where is Niko?” Ian asked and looked around. Niko did not seem to be found anywhere around.
“Niko was drunk and horny-”
Ian almost laughed loudly. “What?”
“Yeah, Niko lost it during the song. He loves the singer, so he just got lost in the moment. He almost fucked Keith here…” Raelynn said and shook her head. She took a sip of her drink and looked around.
Many celebrities were drunk. Some were grinding on each other, while others were simply doing drunk stupid things.
“I feel drunk too, I lost count of my drinks…” Ian said, whispering the last part of what he was saying.
Raelynn chuckled as she looked into his eyes.
“You were great today. And I can’t wait to see what the people are going to say about Resident Evil. Ah! I just have a good feeling that it’s going to be amazing…” she said and kissed his neck.
Ian smiled and looked at Raelynn. He took the last sip of his drink and walked off to keep the glass.
As soon as he walked back, he pulled Raelynn and grinned to her face.
“I can’t believe how I got so lucky with you either…” He said and wiped her hair out of her face.
“You’ll have a lot to thank me tomorrow,” she said and winked.
“Hmm… I like the sound of it. Who is it?”
Raelynn thought for a minute before answering. Her hands were on his. And his eyes were too focused on hers.
“Angelina…”
The name made Ian’s insides tremble. He immediately sobered up after hearing what Raelynn just said.
“What? Angelina?” he asked again. He was in pure shock.
The look on Ian’s face made it harder for Raelynn to keep a straight face on. She burst out laughing as she saw how shocked he was.
“Fuck no! Not yet at least! God!” she said and laughed more.
The relief on Ian’s face made it obvious that there was more to Angelina than Ian let on.
Ian wanted to fuck her, yes. But he also didn’t want Angelina to misread any of the situations knowing that she would potentially work with him shortly. So, Ian knew that, besides his dark desires, he had to be careful with what he would do next.
“Let’s go upstairs then…” Ian suggested seeing how everyone was in their own worlds.
The event was coming to an end, so he knew it.
“You go ahead, I’ll come with her. Fuck, I’d be having so much fun tonight,” she said and smirked, looking at Ian.
Ian shrugged and kissed her on the lips.
“Anything for you. But don’t get too used to this. You’d forget about us both.”
“I know you won’t let that happen. So, it’s all good. Cheers to a good night!” she said and grabbed the bottle of wine on the counter and gave it to Ian.
Ian took it with a massive smile and walked away from Raelynn.
