Samuel could hear their laughter from downstairs. It was good that they were in a good mood; he could leave without worrying about them.

Several heavy-duty SUVs took off from Beverly Hills first thing in the morning. It was an hour-and-half drive to the Vernon passing where the convoy reached the Maywood area.
They smoothly drove along Randolph Street to reach the Maywood family hospital. Everything was average, but the meeting place was deep inside the area.
Seeing the vital convoy, many people thought that it was a police raid; it was a common occurrence in these parts of town. Fearing the potential gunfight, ordinary people skirted away without looking back. It was better to have your life than to witness some fun event!
Taking a left, the convoy arrived near Veteran Park, alongside a cannabis dispensary. The meeting place was a large one-story house that was between the two. They stopped with Samuel in the middle of the convoy.
" No one is here yet." Samuel looked outside.
" We did exchange a few words. They will be here to show lead us inside." Steve said from the front seat.
" It doesn't matter. What about the others?"
" We have placed few people in every direction. Jane is handling it; you don't have to worry about it."
" I am not worried about us. I just don't want normal people to get hurt."
" I know. There they are." Steve said, pointing at the several people coming out from the corner."

It was not every day they got summoned by the group leader, so they all took it seriously. They had peace because of him; they would gladly give up their life for him. But they also know that their boss was not ruthless; he must have a good reason for calling them here.
