Once a month, he would golf with his buddies, which meant he was completely cut off from the outside world. It was their rule when gathering to have fun. Paul would often be invited, but he had back pain, so he opted out.
It was a secret so he couldn't tell the person on the phone. Robert's daily schedule was a top secret even within the company.

Douglas hung up the phone and dialled Laura's number. He felt that Robert ignored him, but he even mentioned Samuel's name. Robert might not even be in the office, or else how could he not pick up his personal cell?
" Hello, how unexpected of you to call me uncle Douglas?" Laura said after picking up the call.
" Thank god you picked you!"
" What? Is something wrong? You sound worried."
" I think Samuel is in trouble."
" What?!"
Douglas explained the best as he could how he found out about Samuel visiting the gangster's hideout.
" That? We should not worry about it. I got a report from Arthur in the morning, but it's just a casual meeting; he also took capable people with him."
" But we are talking about criminal organizations here; even the police force in the area is fearful about approaching that area!" Douglas was baffled by how casually she was taking everything.
" Everything will be fine. I believe in my boy; he has never done something he is unsure about. He always has a plan."
" Lord forgives me, but if something bad happens.."
"You don't know, my child. It was nice of you to inform me but let him handle it."

They talked for a few more minutes before Douglas hung up the phone. Were his worries unfounded? How come she had that much trust in that young man? He really didn't know what more he could do. He decided to send a few men just in case; precaution was better than waiting for something to happen.

" And you are willing to come with me?"
