He loved to feel superior in any situation and enjoyed the pleading looks of girls; he felt eerie pleasure in looking down from above as his prey struggled to break free while serving his member.
He relished it for a moment before focusing on Karoline.
" And Is there something I should worry about? I have been relentlessly pursuing her trying to win her favour but that bitch always acts like a pure maiden. How have preparation going for our engagement? Verbal agreement are shit and it is honestly degrading for out reputation." Eric said vehemently, displaying his dissatisfaction.
" Nothing noteworthy; Miss has always been a sheltered child, So her father accepted her request. He has also greenlit for the celebration party, which will be held in a couple of weeks." Karoline said with a stone face ignoring Eric's emotions. She must remain rational and resolute to protect the people she cares for.
" Ok, always keep an eye on her; I don't want my property to be soiled by annoying bugs. Besides, you know what will happen to your family if you go against me, right? " Eric threatened Karoline indirectly, which made Karoline rage angrily, but she controlled herself.
" Yes, young master." Karoline said and started walking away toward the exit.
Eric hated Karoline's attitude; with his masochistic personality, everything and everyone must serve him, and only him, but with Karoline, he had to use underhanded methods to keep her in place. Despite this, she never truly respected him.
" Bitch, I will make both of you submit to me someday. If only father hadn't stopped me, I would have already made her my bitch." Eric thought, looking at the receding back of Karoline.
Karoline is playing a dangerous game; she withheld significant information from the report, i.e., the news about Samuel.
Although she talked about Samuel to Kester, Iblis's father, she also left out critical information about his background. She knew that Eric would learn about Samuel later down the line but for now, If Samuel could influence Iblis, even a little would help Karoline later down the line.
Her ultimate goal is to give light on the situation to Kester; she knows only he can solve all of this. She could also guess that information about Samuel would be challenging to uncover, even for the Hanson family. It would keep Kester occupied for the time being.
The animosity between both families ran too deep, effectively triggering a chain reaction; it will be the perfect smokescreen for her to act upon. She could rescue her family and flee the country for good. She just needs to play her cards right.
