“Witch Irene’s house, is that correct?”

“No.”

Since she is not a witch, it is not the house of the Witch Irene. There was a brief silence as she unhesitantly denied it with a sharp voice.

“Sorry. Lady Irene’s house, who have black hair and purple-colored eyes. Is this correct?”

However, the formidable opponent quickly noticed what exactly Irene was dissatisfied with. But, if he said it like that, even she couldn’t just stand there stiffly.

“…yes, that’s right.”

“There is something I really want to ask you. So, I came to you without any excuses. Could you give me a minute?”

She answered reluctantly, outside of the door.

Straightly, he conveyed his purpose. Irene glanced outside. A middle-aged gentleman in clean clothes with no wrinkles stood there with a stiff face. It was clothing worn by those who did not have anything to do with work such as farming, hunting, guarding a village, or sweeping dust, and he seemed to be associated with the nobility.

It is difficult to see nobles in the village. The manager, who came to collect taxes twice a year, was not a nobleman. Naturally, this made Irene’s vigilance grow stronger.

“We could not let the guest in without prior appointment. Please go back.”

Irene never responded coldly because of the principle she never advocated before, then turned away completely. The other was courteous, but for some reason, her anxiety was soaring. Is the ripple in such peaceful daily life an auspicious or bad omen?

“Please don’t let me use force, my lady.”

The sobering warning was polite, but the content was different. Irene’s footsteps halted as she turned.

The threat of opening the door by force itself was not scary. Before attacking, she already measured her ability to escape with the addition of Eirene.

However, even if the immediate crisis was avoided, it would still be a problem what happened afterwards. Depending on what the man’s business is, they’ll be either hated or bring little consequences to the villagers.

I don’t know if it would bring any damage. Will you endure it to the end? Or will you open the door meekly? After weighing the scale, Irene let out a heavy sigh and opened the tightly closed door on her own.

“What’s going on?”

My eyes narrowed and my brows frowned. I could only see a middle-aged gentleman through the small window on the door, but when I opened the door, I saw three knights with swords hanging behind them.

Ha, irene, unable to hide her short smirk, asked awkwardly while leaning against the door frame.

“Hmm…mmm.”

The middle-aged man who couldn’t take his eyes off her for a moment, wiped his long black, flowing hair indifferently, while staring intently at her purple eyes.
