Chapter 29 - Su Dazhi felt as if he had been shot in the knee (2)
"Sis, can I eat now?" Su Xiaozhi touched his stomach and held his bowl towards her.
"Of course, Xiaozhi, eat more." Su Yu smiled. She took his bowl and ladled enough to fill over half of the bowl. Then, she ladled the same amount into Su Dazhi's bowl and filled Su Lin's bowl halfway. The rest of the pot was hers. Her share was also over half a bowl of cornmeal mush.
Su Lin: "..."
As Su Yu ate, she said, "I heard that farmers are alloted food based on their work, that's the same as our factory. In the past, Xiaozhi was going to school. Now that Xiaozhi will be working, our family should change too. Going forward, food will also be distributed based on work in our family. People that work will get more food. People that do less work will get less food."
Of the four people present, it was only Su Lin that didn't work. So naturally, none of the three people opposed the change.
