Randell had changed a lot in these three years.

‘No, I guess you could say he got back what he lost.’

The soft side disappeared, and the sharp impression became stronger. Distrust in people stood out and when he began to smile, everyone in the lab began to frantically search for what was wrong.

I could hear his voice.

“What the hell is this way of extracting the essence from the steam. Vietra discovered the alcohol distillation method three years ago, but you still insist on the old method. Is your head unable to evolve from a little boy’s brain?”

The content was also something else, but the sarcastic tone was top-notch.

“I’m sorry to wake you up from that little boy’s dream, but why don’t you open your eyes to reality now? One, two, three.”

He snapped his finger in front of his eyes.

“Are you awake now? Huh? How old are you?”

The apprentice’s face was bright red. Nina stepped on the windowsill and gently jumped down.

“Stop it now.”

At her sudden appearance, the apprentice opened his eyes wide and a look of relief passed by his face. Randell beckoned him to go and told Nina.

“Do you enjoy showing superiority that you’re the only one who can save that jerk from my hands?”

Nina laughed her head off.

“Was my superiority that cheap?”

“You’re the only one who can calm this Randell, the Wizard, and you call it cheap?”

Randell smirked and pulled Nina. She lightly fell into his arms. He looked down at her and said his greetings.

“Hello, Nina.”

“Hi, Randell.”

They greeted each other and she added.

“That’s a great greeting.”

He smiled lightly. Randell no longer used the title of Sage. They were spell makers, so the title of ‘wizard’ was enough.

He at that time said,

“The word Sage is not even funny. Sage my ass.”

He threw away his long-sleeved hood together with the title of Sage. Now, the short-sleeved hood that he used and that emphasized practicality was a symbol of Wizards.

Quite naturally, the Blue Stone Island was in turmoil, and they wrote an accusation against him and a tribute that they were taking back his seat as a Grand Sage.

Randell showed a clear stance by pasting a picture of him lifting his middle finger on the notice.

After that, chaos ensued.

It was great when Adrian declared, ‘Randell, the wizard, is under the protection of the Duchy of Luverne, and attacking him is like attacking this Duke.’

“You are just saying whatever you want. Why do I have to feel superior because of the position you’re giving me?”

Nina said so and looked at the apprentices carefully collecting herbs around her.

“Aren’t they usually in the lab?”

“I’m teaching them how to gather herbs. Some jerk made a mistake in distillation last time and blew up the essentials.”

“That’s terrible.”

“It’s the one that you saved.”

“Damn.”

Nina opened her eyes wide again and spoke in the same tone.

Randell laughed saying that he doesn’t care if he comes off as a jerk and Nina said, ‘Oh, I see.’

She wouldn’t be Nina la Dell if she regrets such a small choice.

Nina said, releasing his arm that was around her.

“Except for that, is everything going all right?”

Randell hesitated for a moment, then pointed to the garden side road.

“Shall we take a walk?”

“Gladly.”

When Nina started walking first, Randell followed her. The garden side path was beautifully cultivated and wide enough for two people to walk.

The pure white pebbles brought by carts from the river a few steps underneath them made a crackling sound. The bright blue Delphinium and the faint water-colored Delphinium were in full bloom.

“Nina, what would you do if I asked you to go far?”

Randell asked and Nina answered cheerfully.

“If you need it, I can leave.”

He paused and laughed.

“Can the Commander of the Dark Knights speak so easily?”

“I might be the Commander, but I’m not the only one who can lead the Order, although it does seem like I’m the only one who can travel with Randell.”

Increase your friends.

At Nina’s comment, Randell laughed again and said.

“From Badun Island in the north to Arakil in the south. Even if I ask you to walk around as much as I want, would you go?”

“Sure.”

To a far place where you can’t hear news from Luverne, so far so that you can’t hear from Adrian?

Randell said something else instead of saying what he was thinking aloud.

“Then, wouldn’t the Duke be in trouble.”

“I’ll be back whenever he’s in trouble.”

“Even if I told you not to go?”

“Is there a reason to stop it?”

“Who taught you to answer questions with questions?”

“Vivian taught me.”

Nina shrugged her shoulders and asked.

“Is that why you want to leave? But not right now. I want to meet the saint.”

“Saint?”

What bizarre title is that? Randell snorted.

There can be no such thing as a holy human being.

“You don’t know because you weren’t at the meeting today.”

“I was cleaning up after those idiots. Kirill didn’t go too, right?”

“Well.”

It’s always like this with these two.

Randell had a distant face as Nina explained about the Saint.

“Remember what the Pagan said back then?”

“Who?”

“That pagan who spilled things about the cult after getting gently comforted by your ‘young master’ a few times while crying.”

“Ah.”

He was talking about the one Adrian captured after defeating the Ice Queen – Even just hearing the name from his mouth makes you think he was a real idiot.

“The story about creating artificially fallen spirit pieces?”

“Yes.”

Of course, it is completely different from the real fallen spirit pieces.

Randell pulled out his Tarok. A cluster of stars suddenly came out of his sleeve,  then a small celestial sphere surfaced on his palm.

“Do you know how Taroks are made?”

“I don’t know.”

“Ignorance is not something to have pride in.”

“No one is as wise as knowing that they are ignorant.”

“That’s a good answer.”

There is no one more annoying than a person who knows poorly and thinks he knows everything.

Randell explained.

“They give each Sage a crystal called Tarok on the Blue Stone Island. Then you’ll dye your crystal with mana and that’s how it changes shape.”

Nina’s eyes shone sharply.

“That means······.”

“Yeah, I think they are making special crystals to make artificial pieces of the fallen spirit. I don’t know what the relationship is between Blue Stone Island and the Cult, but it’s possible that a research maniac made a special crystal for them.”

Nina briefly looked at the celestial globe spinning slowly on his palm and said.

“That means we’re going to Blue Stone Island? We’re going to get stoned as soon as we get there.”

“We go in stealthily.”

Nina opened her mouth but shut up at his nonchalant remark.

“So you want to come out with that crystal?”

“If possible, I’d like to know how to make it. The Luverne Duchy is a collection of great men from the continent, so we can make it better.”

“What do you make it for?”

“Of course, I’ll use it to cultivate new wizards. We’ll need that production method to build our own wizard’s tower and create a new flow.”

“Wow.”

“What?”

“Nothing. So you’re trying to establish a new faction?”

“What did you think when I said I’d create a new title for wizard and use a city as a new base?”

“No, I didn’t know it would lead to that. You’re quite an ambitious man.”

“Nina likes ambitious people.”

“That’s right.”

Nina smirked. That’s also the reason why she was quite fascinated with Princess Vialentel.

‘But not much these days.’

The revival of the imperial family.

The rise of the empire

It would be nice if they could work together, but the problem is that they aren’t in sync.

“But why a tower?”

Randell replied to Nina’s comments.

“That’s because a wizard should always stand on a high place and look down at the world.”

Nina burst into laughter.

He’s so obnoxious, really.

‘Wouldn’t it be weird to say he’s the main lead when he’s like this?’

After a long time, she stopped laughing and said,

“Okay, then I’ll go to Blue Stone Island. Our Randell needs to look down at the world. Of course.”

I’ll make sure to tease him a lot in the future, Nina thought and checked her schedule inside her head.

“Well, wouldn’t it be too tight of a schedule to go to the Blue Stone Island before the Imperial Ball?”

“We still have two months left.”

“It takes a long time to get to the Island. It’ll take 40 days if we do a round trip.”

“Why are we walking?”

He shook his Tarok and circled it a few times and soon, a floating space was created.

“There’s magic.”

Nina laughed again.
