Mimina said as she braided Fiona’s hair down.

“Do you remember everything we talked about?”

“Of course.”

Fiona’s reflection in the mirror looked at Mimina and nodded her head.

Her hair shimmered as if wrapped in glass, strand by strand, under the care of the special items from <Romie Company>. Her skin was also white and shiny. It looked like she was wearing no makeup, but her face was perfectly polished.

Decoration to a minimum, but with impact.

Next to her, Nina said with a smile.

“Do not worry. Because I am by your side.”

For the first time in a long time, she was wearing a uniform. She wore a pitch-black knight uniform from top to bottom and even a customized hat that was made a while ago.

It was a design that looked like a modern police hat, with a cap running at the front and angled.

Jean saw it at first and said, “You have to make this out of iron. If you made it out of cloth like this, would it protect your head?”

“I’m not using this for defense, but because it’s stylish, right?”

“Do you even need that in your uniform?”

“Absolutely necessary.”

What is the reason that we, the Dark Knights, are recognized at a glance?

Isn’t it all thanks to the black long coat?

At Nina’s words, Jean still had a face that didn’t understand, but he waved his hand.

“You’re the Commander, so you take care of it.”

“I will.”

When Nina presented the design to everyone, at first they thought it was a weird hat, but everyone nodded their head when they saw the finished product Nine wore.

Mimina gave a quirky evaluation thought, “I don’t know if it’s because of Da-Nina’s face or if the hat is pretty.”

A black hawk-shaped crest, the symbol of the Dark Knights, was attached to the front of the hat. It wasn’t formal wear, so the only different colors were the buttons and lines.

Fiona looked at Nina and sighed lightly at her.

“Dame Nina, you are so cool.”

Nina laughed loudly at her words, but Mimina nodded deeply.

‘It’s not for nothing that she’s the first love of all the ladies in the capital.’

Nina smiled.

“Well, I’m happy if it looked like I could protect Miss Fiona. Today is finally time to go inside the enemy line.”

At Nina’s words, Fiona looked at herself in the mirror for a moment. She was astonishingly beautiful as she was not herself.

“Will Lucrezia be there too?”

“It is very likely.”

The temple formally called for Fiona. The High Priest said he wanted to call her in person to talk about her power.

There was no reason to refuse because they’d been waiting for this.

Thus, a similar meeting to a public hearing was held in the Temple of the capital. Rumors spread throughout the capital due to busy Jack’s hard work, and attention was focused on the Temple.

Today is the first day that a ‘Girl with Mysterious Power’ takes part in an official event.

Mimina did her best and prepared as much as she could, made several plans, and made several pre-checks.

“it’s done.”

Fiona, perfectly adorned, rose from her seat. In the mirror, she really looked like a good being with divine powers. She took her eyes off the mirror and turned to Nina. Nina leaned over her body and held out her hand.

“Then, will you give me the honor of escorting you?”

Fiona placed her hand on Nina’s, feeling a smile coming out even amidst her tension.

“Of course.”

Boarding the Duke’s lavish carriage, Fiona took a deep breath. Nina, who was sitting opposite her, was terribly calm, so Fiona managed to calm herself too.

The weather was cloudy.

When Fiona arrived in front of the temple, the clouds suddenly split and sunlight poured in. The gathered spectators exclaimed. The sunlight fell precisely on the carriage, and the decorations of the carriage shone dazzlingly.

Nina got off first, and when Fiona came out, people shouted.

Fiona looked around, startled by the crowd and when Nina whispered something, she turned around and waved.

Cheers erupted again.

Under the protection of the Dark Knights, Fiona entered the temple with Nina’s escort. Then the clouds over the temple parted, and the sunlight fell on the temple.

Only a part of the clouds cracked, anyone who looked at it, thought it was a mysterious phenomenon.

“I can’t believe I’m being mobilized for a show like this.”

On the roof of a nearby building, Randell muttered while holding out his pendulum. Cutting through the clouds at the right time wasn’t too difficult for him.

Well, since he is receiving a huge amount of money from the Duke, he should at least do something like this.

Randell sighed and waited for the next signal.

The people waiting inside the temple flinched and trembled at the shouts from outside. They knew Fiona was popular, but it was too much cheering. Those who did not know what had happened outside were simply puzzled.

Then Fiona slowly entered the huge hall.

Both the nobleman and the priests inside the hall uttered an exclamation. Fiona seemed to shine brightly, as if a halo was shining.

In fact, she was actually shining.

Because Nina was using the Spirit of the Sun to give a halo effect that was so subtle, that the naked eye could not perceive it.

The rectangular hall of the temple would normally have been filled with believers, but now, instead, only the High Priest, the Bishop of the Temple, the saint, and a few members of the royal family and nobles were seated.

Faradiv and Vialentel were also present.

“My name is Fiona. Thank you for inviting me.”

Fiona said hello.

A simple and smooth greeting without being too aristocratic.

Then Fiona stood up straight and looked at them. She had a posture and attitude that seemed to have nothing to be desired of the situation.

Nina stood next to her, a step back, nodding inwardly, ‘Good.’

After looking at her face, Nina’s eyes stayed on the High Priest of the Temple.

‘The final boss.’

She was far away so his face was hard to see, but she could tell. Instead of Fiona, the director was looking at Nina.

When their eyes met, he smiled. Soon, however, his eyes turned back to Fiona.

The High Priest got up from his seat.

“The temple welcomes you, and the reason I called you today in this busy time was because of the rumors circulating these days.”

The High Priest showed a gentle smile and Fiona took a step forward.

“I also have something I want to say to you, so I answered the call. Can I speak first?”

The opponent came out and said, ‘No. Listen to me first.’, accepting it would be quite difficult.

But, the High Priest nodded his head.

“Go on.”

“I am no Saint.”

People murmured at her resolute words. Fiona put her hands on her chest and said.

“It is true that I have special powers. It’s a gift from God to me. But that doesn’t mean I’m a sacred person. I am not a Saint, I’m just an ordinary girl.”

“What is that special power?”

Another Bishop who was present asked.

“The ability to heal wounds and purify areas contaminated by Bellac.”

“Oh oh-!”

“It was true!”

“Can you prove it?”

“I am a witness!”

One of the nobles standing there came out. He rolled up his arms and said.

“Miss Fiona healed the wounds that had turned black due to Baron Verdin’s attack. There were many others who received her help besides me. Here is the list.”

A man approached the High Priest and presented the list. Faradiv smiled contentedly. The murmur of the people grew louder. The High Priest glanced through the list and handed it over to the person next to him.

“This ability is proof that you have been chosen by God. So -.”

“No.”

Fiona shook her head.

“God distributes power equally to everyone. There are small ones and there are large ones. We are all chosen, and we are all children of God. Just because I’m exceptional doesn’t mean I’m a special person.”

Fiona’s voice did not tremble, and she was confident. Just as she, who received a revelation from God, would share it without hesitation and so did she.

Fiona raised her head.

“I also have a message for the Temple. There is darkness in its inside.”

In an instant, the silence descended. Vialentel jumped up from her seat.

“What do you mean, darkness in the temple? How dare you blaspheme God not knowing your place as a commoner!”

“I am not blaspheming God. The Temple and God are different.”

Fiona’s voice was high and resounded in the hall. Fiona’s fingers stretched out like an oracle passing on God’s words and pointed at one person.

“I will accuse those who pretend to be a Saint.”

People who looked at Fiona’s finger at the same time looked at the end without realizing it.
