Alka’s rose-colored hair was very bubbly today.

She fixed her clothes for a while and then squinted her eyes at Nina.

“Victory may have come to our side, but we haven’t got a wedge in it yet, have we? We need to get rid of Princess Vialentel.”

She turned to Adrian.

“That’s what I came to say, Your Grace.”

“Did you say you knew the Duchess of Brevan?”

“Yes. The princess’s dog is still staying here, right? Did he say nothing?”

Nina made a sullen face.

“I don’t think he deserves such an insult.”

“Did it sound like an insult?”

Alka grinned with an ‘Oh my! Really.’ face. Nina became a little curious. Right now, she looked like a teenage girl, but what is her original age and appearance?

“What I’m saying is that I would like to help, this side also had quite a good catch. I don’t know if the Princess thought that she was pretty close to the Duke of Brevan, or if the Duke was really good at his job, but-”

She tapped her skirt, grabbed both hands, and placed them on her stomach.

“We have found evidence proving that Princess Vialentel had a close relationship with the Cult.”

Adrian asked with a curious face.

“Are you going to hand it over to us?”

“Yes.”

“Does the Duke know about this?”

“No.”

Adrian thought for a moment and said.

“Is that something the Duchess is doing of her own will?”

“The fact that she sent me here is her own dogma.”

Adrian looked at Alka as if he had heard a piece of unexpected information.

“Is there any chance of convincing the Duke?”

“Men have needlessly high self-esteem.”

Adrian smiled faintly, his trademark relaxed smile that always prevails in the social world.

“What if he could fix the Duchess’s leg?”

“Well.”

Alka tilted her index finger to her cheek.

Bend one’s pride for his wife.

If it was the Duke Brevan, it was possible enough. Given a justification, he has no reason not to hold this hand.

“It is very likely.”

“Then pass it on to the Duchess.”

“I will.”

Alka once again grabbed the hem of her skirt and greeted them, Nina turned towards her slightly bent head.

“The next time you come in without a word, I won’t let you go.”

Alka raised her head and said, “Even though I’m this beautiful?”.

Jean said, “Wow.” and poked Nina in the ribs.

“There’s another one like you.”

“But I am really cute.”

Jean shuddered at what Nina said with her eyes wide open, and Nina looked back at Alka who laughed bashfully.

“I will try to inform you as much as possible. But Dame Nina, there is no fairy who presses the doorbell.”

Alka disappeared with her rose petals, sticking to her true concept until the very end.

Nina let out a deep sigh.

In the midst of chaos in the political world, the last two bombs exploded.

The first was when the Duke of Brevan, a close associate of Princess Vialentel, reported the corruption of the princess.

The second was when Benzel, the former Commander of the Lily Knight, who was the escort knight of Princess Vialentel, revealed her misdeeds.

Those who had already acknowledged Lucrezia were terrified of the facts that were revealed one after another about Princess Vialentel’s deeds.

‘A person, the Princess nonetheless, holds hand with The Cult to gain the throne? And sends her own closest aides to be a test subject in secret inhuman researches?’

In the past, it might have been possible to cover it somehow, but in a situation where the victory passed to Faradiv, these two shots were incredibly effective.

Even more so because both came from Vialentel’s own entourage.

Benzel heard gossip and critiques that he was a traitor, but he didn’t waver. It was the answer he have chosen after agonizing countless times.

When Nina asked, “Are you really okay with this?” he replied with a faint smile.

“This is what I can do for her.”

That the end does not justify the means, those with power must always look for the right path, and only then power would be meaningful.

“She wasn’t like that from the beginning. She never gave up on other people’s lives.”

My lord was beautiful and elegant, full of charisma.

Come to think about it, the day she met with ‘The High Priest’ may have been a turning point. Gradually, her desires became bloated and began to twist in strange places.

Even so, the blood on Vialentel’s hands was blood, and the responsibility to be taken must be paid.

“If you ask me if this is the perfect answer, I can’t tell you for sure.”

Nina tilted her head at his quiet words and said.

“Isn’t that enough?”

“Is it?”

“Well, honestly I think it’s scary to give an answer to such a question.”

Nina wrinkled her eyes, trying to convey her message.

“Once you give out such an answer, there is nothing more to worry or to hesitate about. Because you won’t turn back, nor look back and ask if that decision was right.”

Unless you are God, can you say, ‘The answer I have is correct’?

How terrifying is it to give such an answer?

“Is this a good thing? Is this right? Is this the correct way? The moment that question is answered, it’s just the end. There’s no more need to think about things. So I think it’s important to keep looking for answers. The difficult part is that we have to move on.”

Nevertheless, we move forward.

Even if it’s not the right answer, even if you don’t know the answer, move forward while trembling in fear.

Unless you move on, you’ll never know if that’s true or not.

At Nina’s words, Benzel made an understanding face.

“It seems to be true to some extent.”

“Yes, that’s the attitude.”

Nina laughed, and Benzel nodded his head.

The best answer he can give right now is this. This may be wrong and might not be a 100% answer.

Nevertheless, it moves him forward.

With the best he can do now.

So he stood as a witness in the tribunal and had to be criticized by Vialentel.

The family expelled him even after he came back alive, and while people said he was brave on the outside, behind the scenes, he was called a whistleblower.

The Duke of Brevan was a whistleblower just like Benzel, but he was a Duke.

People murmured towards the Duke of Brevan, but he remained the Duke. Before he was in the first place but even now, he was the second wealthiest estate behind the Duke of Luverne.

It was different from Benzel, which was like a kite that had fallen off a string.

Moreover, while the Duke of Brevan was a political coalition, Benzel was not merely a coalition.

He was hit the hardest.

In the end, due to the problems of the nobles and the public, the Emperor had no choice but to withdraw the right to the throne from Princess Vialentel.

Instead, as much as possible, Prince Faradiv arranged to not take the Princess’s life. That was the condition that Faradiv had offered to Benzel.

It is the tradition of the Ebensel Empire that the victor in the battle for the succession kills all the losers, but this time, he wanted to get out of such a tradition.

“Can you keep her alive?”

Adrian asked with a smile. Faradiv answered, even though he thought it was scary.

“We won’t let her have a successor. And by keeping her alive, the other families that were attached to her will also try to get my favor.”

“Prince, will the other families that have supported you since you were weak tolerate such a scenario?”

Since they bet on a place with a low win rate, you have to stake a lot of money to get an answer.

“It’s my specialty to integrate it.”

Faradiv looked straight at Adrian and said.

Adrian was right.

However, according to that method alone, Faradiv’s empire will not be complete. He’ll be the one who paves the way to a new path.

At that, Adrian looked at Faradiv for a moment and then nodded his head.

“It won’t be easy.”

“That’s why I need someone to walk with. Won’t you go down a path you’ve never been to before?”

At Faradiv’s words, Adrian thought and answered.

“When you’re done, let’s talk about this again.”

A look of relief crossed Faradiv’s face. The most powerful of his supporters was the Duke of Luverne.

If he replies that he wasn’t interested, it’s hard for Faradiv to do it alone. But he said he would think about it, so that was enough of a positive answer.

After finishing the meeting, when Adrian got into the carriage, Nina quickly climbed on.

“Did the story end well?”

Adrian nodded his head. Then he looked out the window and then looked at Nina.

“Now let’s go back.”

After work in the capital is over, it was enough to prepare for the next round in the Silver Citadel.

He wanted to go down before winter came.

Nina took his hand as he reached it out. Slowly shoving his fingers between hers, Adrian whispered as they interlocked their fingers.

“Let’s go home.”

There were still unresolved things. However, he misses the silver lake, and his time alone with her.

Besides, the two of them have something to talk about.

Nina smiled brightly at his words and gave strength to her grip.

“Yes.”
