It was as thrilling as the wait was long.

Nina put her hand through his hair. It was cool and soft, like silk.

At first, it seemed to taste like the grapes he had just eaten, but soon the kiss had an unknown flavor.

His hand wrapped around the back of Nina’s neck and gently pressed her down. She felt good with his fingers delicately and affectionately wrapping around her.

Her whole body was already softly tingling.

As if he was trying to be coercive but not forcing, Nina meekly opened her mouth at Adrian’s requests.

From there on, she was out of her mind.

Adrian was also a gentlemanly sweet kisser, but if she teased him too much, he would kiss her this way.

It was a kiss so intense that moans rose from her throat, she struggled and had no choice but to dangle from him while flinching and crossing her legs.

Nina’s eyes were dizzy and fussy. It feels like shards of twinkling stars were coming out of her body.

I would say that this was a little excessive to do in the morning.

Nina gave up.

Her mind was already blank.

His movements loosened up a bit. He moved slowly after the climax of the intense kiss and seemed to enjoy the sweet afterglow.

Parting her lips, Nina flailed like a freshly baked omelet, resting her forehead on Adrian’s shoulder.

Thump. Thump. Thump-

She could hear a fast heartbeat. His hand gently stroking Nina’s back felt good, she asked.

“What about Adrian?”

“I…….”

Nina looked up as Adrian blurted the end of his speech. Her eyes were round.

“Did Adrian also dream?”

Adrian nodded his head briefly.

“What kind of dream? Did you have the same dream as me?”

Adrian shook his head.

“A dream about the front line of the war.”

Nina groaned and groped her thoughts. Among the dreams she had, there was no dream of her fighting. All she had were memories of the tired ‘Sir Duke of Luverne’. The situation wouldn’t have been good if Adrian came out with that kind of dream.

“How was it?”

“It was the worst.”

The words that came out of his mouth were rarely this straightforward. If he was talking like that, it was really the worst possible.

“First of all, the supply…”

While muttering, he glanced at Nina and smiled helplessly.

“What?”

When Nina asked, he whispered.

“No, nothing.”

“Doesn’t seem like that? Are you hiding something?”

“No, and-”

He smoothed his lips.

“I dreamed of the moment I fell in love.”

Nina widened her eyes, and Adrian laughed.

“The situation was the worst, and I think the defense line was about to collapse soon. But Nina, you.”

Adrian lowered his eyes.

“I dreamed of the moment I fell in love without realizing it.”

“I’m curious.”

Nina’s eyes twinkled.

“What was the situation? How was it?”

“I won’t tell you.”

He turned his head slightly and changed the story.

“Well, comparing that situation to now, we are much better. Even if Nodolu descends over here, there must be a reason for why he’s not active.”

Or he might not be able to use his full strength.

Adrian tapped his finger. Nina squinted her eyes as she saw him turning the topic around, but she didn’t bother to question it.

“I dreamed of the moment I fell in love.”

It’s somewhat romantic and cheesy at the same time. If I question Adrian, he’ll tell me, but hearing it outright is embarrassing.

Nina heard what he had to say.

“If possible, I want to increase the number of spirit contractors……”

“How can it increase just because we want to?”

At Nina’s words, Adrian looked at her and said,

“Jean made a contract.”

“That’s right.”

“Didn’t Nina teach him how to do it?”

“Can we really say that I taught him?”

Adrian was puzzled by Nina’s skeptical reaction.

“Nina?”

“No, hum….Adrian, look.”

Nina reached out her hand. Snowflakes danced between her fingertips. The way she perfectly handled the power of winter brought out admiration from anyone who saw it.

“I made a contract with the spirit. Adrian and Jean did the same. But, if the person doesn’t get the true nature of the spirits while watching this, is there any use in talking about it?”

In order to make a contract with a spirit, they must believe in the existence of the spirits, believe in their power, and trust that they will lend their power.

“You know.”

At Adrian’s words, Nina blinked her eyes.

“If Nina just says ‘You can do it,’ I think that their chances will increase a lot, right?”

It is not for no reason that nobles spread rumors and give speeches.

Nina nodded her head.

“Okay. Then I’ll talk to Jean about it. But the problem is, we don’t know where or how they are coming next. Any other corrupt spirit fragments?”

“Only the one remains in the purple forest.”

“I have to say that it’s very kind of them to deliberately leave the last one in front of our noses.”

Adrian smiled at Nina’s words.

“It’s still better than something happening out of sight.”

“That’s true.”

Being a human is strange, if there is a method A, it is not easy to give up and move on to B.

If I needed a piece of the corrupted spirit king, I would definitely come to get it. If not, that’s a matter to be considered in its own way.

Nina got up from her seat as she was rolling her brain around. As she got up, Adrian looked at her with a sad expression on his face.

“I’ll talk to Jean.”

Nina wrapped her hands around his cheek and kissed him lightly.

“I love you, Adrian.”

“I love you too.”

After Nina left the attic, Adrian looked out the window.

His mind was complicated in many ways. There were many possibilities.

‘There are a few things that are highly likely to be the answer.’

Vialentel went down too easily and the Saint was also left aside faster than expected.

Adrian closed his eyes.

If his dreams are from the past, he must have learned something from the past.

But what if their opponent is also like that?

‘It would be better to take variables into account.’

He remembered the dream.

The battle between Bellac and humans was unilaterally pitiful for humankind.

Even with all sorts of tactics and methods, human beings were inevitably pushed back by the Bellacs overwhelming power and ability.

Therefore, sages or spirit contractors like him always had to stand in the most dangerous places.

‘Because, unless is such people, Bellac won’t be stopped.’

But it was also ridiculous that he, the commander-in-chief, would die in the battle with Bellac.

The good news is that they are stupid because they have no intelligence, and there are not many strong Bellacs.

It was his job to lead the battlefield from behind, but there were times when he had no choice but to stand on the frontline.

I don’t know why he hates it so much, but in his dream, he was using his powers while being disgusted with the spirits.

Then, that moment.

The moment the Sage, who was on the same side, stupidly used light magic to blow away all his shadows and he became defenseless, Nina grabbed him by the neck and rescued him.

“You had quite the scare, right?”

Her sweet smiling voice was even more surprising. In this place, in this situation, in this despair.

How can you laugh?

With her short brown hair, she was filthy, she looked weary, but she was smiling.

It is not a burst of sneering laughter, nor a laughter of giving up. A normal laughter, not forcing it or squeezing it out.

It was as if she was going into battle without losing her humanity at all.

A spirit swordsman who was said to have signed a contract with The North Wind a while ago.

He knew about her. Since she was part of the main strength of the war personnel, he saw her face often to entrust her with missions.

He was relieved to hear that she had signed a contract with the spirit.

What she thought of his glaring gaze was a mystery, but she scratched her cheek and said.

“It’s okay.”

Her voice was unwavering.

“Because we will win.”

My heart was pounding. I wanted to beg her to share even a little of that faith with me.

“The North Wind, the all-quieting cold, the raging chill that blows everything.”

Whispering a chant, Nina moved on.
