Chapter 19

TL-Mechatronic

After having a toast and receiving congratulations from everyone, I blacked out.

“Huh?’

When she woke up, she was already in a bedroom. One she’s never seen before.

Nina, who was wondering if she mistakenly entered the wrong room when she was drunk, got up.

“Oh, pajamas.”

When did she change her clothes?

“No, did I forget I changed before sleeping? Am I weak to alcohol? Or was I just tired?’

Nina looked around the room.

Black shield castle is a castle for defense. So it wasn’t as gorgeous and beautiful as the Silver Lake Castle.

They prepared it for the battle by stacking solid stones.

It was dark inside because of the small windows,

There was hardly any fancy decoration. Still, there was a balcony attached to the wall, so Nina opened the window to the balcony.

“Can you find out where Adrian is?”

At her question, there was a whirring wind. Jumping across several balconies under the guidance of North Wind, Nina arrived in Adrian’s bedroom.

Knock, knock, knock. She politely knocked on the balcony door. There was no answer but after a while, the door opened.

Adrian, wearing a gown and holding a sword in one hand, sighed when he saw her sitting on the balcony railing.

“Can’t you come through the door?”

“Coming by the balcony is more romantic.”

Nina laughed and got up from the railing.

“Come in.”

As he stepped out, Nina quickly went inside.

His bedroom was also undecorated, and the furniture was large and simple.

It seems that Adrian’s bedroom was still past another door with the Dukedom’s insignia.

While inserting his sword into the scabbard, Adrian asked.

“Can’t sleep?”

It was a much more casual tone, than when there were other people around.

Nina smiled lightly.

“No, I woke up while I was sleeping. I wanted to see you.”

Adrian grinned and turned around. He sat on the sofa and tapped on the side.

“Come here.”

Nina didn’t sit next to him, but sat on the floor, putting her arms and head on his thighs.

“It’s like this again.”

Adrian frowned, but Nina didn’t care.

“I feel pretty good doing this. It’s like being a kid again. Next time, you should try it too.”

“But if you do this, I can only see your hair. I want to see your face, Nina.”

At Adrian’s words, Nina raised her head and giggled, then quickly sat next to him.

Her long hair was so smooth that it did not get tangled, during a series of movements, it only smoothly loosened and found its place again.

“Who changed my clothes?”

Nina asked while looking down at her pajamas, “Kirill.” Replied Adrian.

Nina’s face got serious.

“Isn’t there any maids to do it?”

“Yes.”

Nina pondered over the positive answer.

“Then why don’t we fill the staff up with decent people?”

“How?”

Nina grinned.

“Just trust and leave it to me.”

Adrian’s shoulder was somehow drained by her smile.

“I have a candidate.”

He wasn’t playing for these two years either.

“I also saved money.”

It’s not like the castle was tightening its budget for nothing.

“I’ll give the discretion to you with both of them.”

Adrian’s words left Nina speechless for a moment. She whispered playfully.

“Doesn’t Adrian believe in me too much?”

“You are special to me, Nina.”

“I know.”

Nina replied with a sudden change in her tone after a long time.

They only had each other, that’s why he considers her special, only that. Nina told herself.

But now, there is Jean too, and there is Lord Louis. If the world widens in the future, won’t there be more on our side?

She doesn’t want his world to end with just the two of them.

But for now, Nina opened her mouth because she knew what those quiet pale pink eyes wanted to hear.

“Adrian is also very special to me.”

“I know. Because you always said so, but I never said, that to you.”

He realized it only after she disappeared.

“So I want to tell you now, I want to let you know.”

At Adrian’s words, Nina stared at him. In the dark, the pink eyes looked dark red.

The rosy-colored eyes look straight at her.

His delicate and beautiful appearance was clearly outlined in the shadows and Adrian looked like a sculpture.

Again Nina admired his appearance. His skinny body is solid and his bones are thick like a real man’s, drawing a perfect proportion.

He’s perfect with his clothes put on, but he’ll be more perfect if he takes them off.

She already knew it, he grew up very well.

While Nina was looking at Adrian with pride, he reached out.

His hand skimmed her cheek, stroked her eyes, pressed her pink lips lightly, and fell.

He grinned.

“I trust you.”

Nina slowly grasped the true weight of the words,

In the original story, she saw that no one believed in Adrian.

He smiled brightly while keeping a certain distance from anyone.

In the novel, he was modified as, “The Duke of Luverne, the noblest.”

It means that he’s a man who was polite and elegant, but he was a person who could not know when he would be stabbed in the back with the sword of others.

His enemies were everywhere, and no one could be trusted.

But we have come this far.

A Step of faith.

Nina smiled, reached out her arms, and hugged him tightly.

“I trust Adrian too.”

“Yes.”

Adrian laughed and patted her back. When Nina released the hug, he said, “Wait a minute.” He went inside, came out with a little box, and handed it to her.

Nina, who opened the box without hesitation, opened her eyes wide in surprise.

“Huh? This? How does Adrian have it?”

Inside the box, there was an old hair tie. The one the Duchess took away when she shaved Nina’s hair.

The only memento she had from her family. A hair tie her sister made for her.

“I’m sorry.”

Nina looked up at Adrian’s words. Adrian, who is now an adult, looked as sad as he did back then.

“Why is Adrian sorry? The Duchess was the bad one.”

It was easy to see how Adrian struggled to find this hair tie.

“Thank you, Adrian.”

Nina put the box down on the table and jerked Adrian, who was put to sleep on her lap.

“Okay, I’ll praise you for doing a good job.”

Nina stroked his hair. Regrettably, his high-quality black hair is short.

With a puzzled look on his face, he sighed and took a straight posture.

Making his long legs stick out of the sofa.

“Who harassed you, young master? Tell me and I will punish them.”

Adrian laughed at Nina’s words.

“Hmmn. Who should I ask Nina to scold first?”

Adrian slowly fell asleep as the stroking hand became slow and constant.

Looking down at the sleeping master, Nina said, ‘Your eyelashes are really long! With an impressed tone.

Not only the eyelashes but also the eyebrows were in a pretty shape as if they were trimmed, the forehead was neat, the nose was slender, all the features were flawless.

When his eyes are closed, it’s just a handsome face, but when his eyes are open, a distinctive shadow and subtlety are added to give off a completely different charm.

If the beautiful smile that you always put on disappears, what should I do?

“I’ll just have to catch the person who will marry my young master later.’

Laughing at the thought, she raised and rolled her head.

Once her garden is safe, that plan is not entirely zerobased. Besides, when she saw Kirill’s smile, she thinks there is something else going on.

“Oh. Come to think of it. I’ve talked about plants, but I didn’t talk about this.’
