Chapter 57

TL-Mechatronic

Since the two became friends, they agreed to speak comfortably with each other. She took the black, hot potato out of the remaining campfire, peeled them, and put salted butter on it.

“Isn’t it hot?”

Nina showed her wrist at Randell’s question. The High Spirit, Sun’s crest was shining brightly on it.

“It’s okay with the power of the spirit. Here.”

‘Using the spirit to bake potatoes…….’

Nina popped out a plate to Randell, who watched as the butter melted slowly over the baked potatoes. He carefully picked up the plate and took a bite with a wooden fork.

“It’s delicious.”

It was surprisingly delicious, so his eyes opened wide. He had never eaten potatoes since he had left the slums.

He didn’t even have a good memory about potatoes because of the recollection of those dark times. Surprisingly, however, the potatoes she baked were delicious. The well-done soft potato melts the savory butter and adds a salty taste to it.

“It’s delicious, isn’t it?”

Nina spoke proudly while she peeled the leftover potatoes. The white potato’s surface was covered with soot, but it can be tolerated. After eating all the potatoes, Nina gathered the rabbit grass and taught him how to make a flower crown.

Her skill was very good, but Randell was clumsy.

He dismissed the garland and complained loudly, ‘What’s the use of this?’ and ‘This is for children to play.

Nina didn’t care and made a big flower garland, put it on Randell, and made one for herself. She also taught him how to make bracelets and rings with shamrock flowers.

He was able to complete the flower crown by stepping on it and crushing it a few times. It was a garland that he didn’t like very much, but Nina was happy and put it in her head.

The sight made Randell bow down in shame.

“Randell? What’s wrong?”

“No.”

“What?”

“It’s nothing.”

Nina looked at him while smiling and said.

“It’s natural to be like a child from time to time.”

Randell’s face blazed at those words. He covered his face with both hands and collapsed in the field of rabbit grass. There was a sweet smell of flowers. He himself knew that his anger was unjustified, childish, and that he was acting like a 10-year-old child.

When you feel emotional, you can understand these emotions, but when you turn around and cool down, you’ll definitely regret it.

“How is it natural?”

He asked in a low voice, and Nina replied while imitating him putting on glasses.

“Didn’t you lock those emotions since you were a kid? That’s why they’re still there.”

Randell was relieved because Nina was not hurt by his anger, or was not annoyed and acted really casually like it was normal.

He apologized, and she accepted it generously,

Randell tried to find a four-leaf clover but failed. He also wondered seriously if he should use his Tarok in searching

The pleasant time quickly passed and the two were barely able to make it to the castle in time for dinner. Randell returned to the lab and found out that he was using a flower crown all the way back after it was pointed out by Kirill.

He was ashamed and took off the garland, but did not throw it away and quietly put it on top of a book.

“Did you have fun?”

When asked by her, Randell replied, “Yes.” He even added a little bit as if he wanted to show off. “Next time, we decided to go fishing for trout.”

She opened her eyes wide and laughed, “Good for you.” Randell nodded and quickly sat down.

His head was refreshed.

“Nina.”

Nina opened her eyes to the sound of someone calling her. The white-rabbit flower crown and even the flower bracelets were still hanging around her body. The flowers in the basket are also scattered around everywhere.

Lying on the floor of the watchtower, she looked up at Adrian.

“Adrian.”

“It’s already night.”

Nina smirked at his words “I know, it’s full of stars.”

Adrian quietly looked down at Nina for a while and eventually lied down next to her.

“How did you know I was here?” When asked by Nina, Adrian replied, “I know everything.”

“Ohh.”

Nina, who made a mysterious noise whether she was admiring or teasing, turned her eyes to the sky.

The sky here has always been very starry. She can’t believe she can see the flowing Milky Way with her bare eyes.

It was familiar to people here, but the night sky was always an object of admiration to humans. Nina and Adrian looked at the sky without saying a word. The flowing cloud covered the stars at first glance and disappeared. Nina opened her mouth as the star’s position gradually tilted.

“I used to whine about wanting sweets.”

Adrian replied, “Ah…” then after closing his mouth, sighed. “It’s a very embarrassing past.”

“Why? I’m grateful to Adrian for picking up the beehive for me.”

“I looked so terrible after I was stung by the bees. I didn’t know then that I could just smoke them to make them intoxicated and come out of the hive.”

“I thought you were cool. I was nursing you all night. Remember?”

“You cried so much that day saying you didn’t need honey anymore and stayed by my side. But the very next day, you still ate the oatmeal mixed with it saying, ‘I think honey is really important.”

Nina smiled quietly.

“Adrian, I was with Randell today, and that reminded me of it. I felt so much better.”

Adrian raised his upper body up. He slowly took off her bracelets one by one from her wrist and her flower crown. It was as careful as the hand of a servant who took off the clothes of the tired master who went to the ball.

Nina laughed a little at the feeling of being served.

He gathered all the rabbit flowers and grass that fell on the floor and threw it outside the watchtower. Adrian sat next to her again and said,

“It won’t be just memories.”

The fun times they had together and the happy days they laughed only having each other. Adrian reached, out, carefully tucked her bangs back, and said again.

“We have more days to be together in the future.”

It’s too early to look back and count the good days like there would be no more of them.

Nina looked up at Adrian and held out her hands. Adrian smiled faintly and pulled her up so that she could stretch her legs.

She sighed and said.

“I guess I’ve become a little sentimental because it reminds me of the old days, but Adrian….”

Nina closed her eyes.

“If that time comes, I hope Adrian comes to find me.”

She was afraid to wander about, lost. She was afraid of disappearing. Like when she was five years old,

Just like when she was eight years old,

She was afraid of forgetting and being forgotten. She was afraid of losing everything.

“Nina.”

Adrian stopped talking and covered her eyes with his hand to block her view.

“Even if you become a water drop, become rain, flow through a valley and flow down a river into the sea, will find you. Even in that deep sea, even if you’re just a drop, I will find you.”

I’ll never lose you.

Nina’s lips drew a line. She answered, “Yes,” quietly and softly,

She turned around, slightly raising her upper body, and hugged his waist tightly.

“Then I’ll be at ease anytime, anywhere.”

Adrian patted her on the head, and Nina took a long breath and relaxed her body. After patting her for a long time, Adrian said.

“Nina, I have something to tell you.”

She lifted her drowsy face. Rubbing her eyes, she sat upright.

“Tell me, young master.”

Adrian took the note out of his arms. “This is a report about Lorocomo that just came in.”

Nina accepted the note. When she opened it, she made a strange expression and returned it while saying,

“I can’t read secret codes.”

“You should learn.”

“There’s no end to the path of learning. So what’s it about?”

“It says that Lorocomo’s carriage was attacked and the goods were robbed, the party was captured, and he was almost beaten to death.”

Nina’s drowsiness immediately flew away. “What? Really?”

“Yes.” “So what happened to Lorocomo? What about his party?”

“Luckily, a villager found him and took him to their house. The party and the wagon were taken by robbers.”

Nina opened her mouth wide. She measured the time and said.

“Where is he?”

“Out of the Duchy.”

Nina paused and frowned at what he said before asking.

“Can I go?” “Do you want to go?”

“Yes.”

“All right.”

“Is it okay?”

“It’s okay. It’s out of the territory, but it bothers me knowing there are robbers on the roads surrounding the Duchy.”

“Yes, sir.”

Nina jumped up from her seat. Then she grabbed Adrian’s hand and raised him lightly.

“I’ll show you the location.”

From the watchtower, the two came down quietly so that they wouldn’t run into anyone and Nina changed her clothes first.

She proudly wore a black knight uniform and took a map and a compass to Adrian’s office so he could show her the location.

Adrian said as she stood by the window.

“Be careful, Nina.”

Nina looked back at him and grinned.

“Young master, don’t forget that your sword (Nina) is the best one in the empire.”

“I would be worried even if you were the only sword on the entire continent.”

In those words, she said, “Then I’ll be careful.” and jumped out of the window.
