“Lady Cilliard, welcome. It’s been a while since you have been here.”

The tailor shop owner found Seria and Yernia, and she approached them with a smile.

Ceria faced her and smiled as well.

“Long time no see. I’m here to choose a dress for a wedding that I’ll be attending.”

“Are you going to Lady Philene’s wedding? Quite a few people had visited my shop to have their dresses fitted as her wedding guests.”

This dress shop was quite popular among the aristocrats, and most of the trendy gowns in Society were tailored from this boutique.

“Ye. We are here to look at the dresses, too. Sister, you must come with me.”

The boutique handed Seria a catalog while Yernia took a look around the dress shop.

The beautiful gowns in the catalog were tailor-made.

These clothes weren’t sold in any stores.

However, quite a few dresses were made for exhibits.

“Blue suits you.”

Cassian said as he stood next to Yernia.

He had been following her as she slowly examined each gown she saw in the boutique.

Holding a sky blue dress in his hands, Cassian swept the fabric with his fingertips.

“Then I’ll pick a red one. Splendidly.”

Honestly, the dress Cassian chose was exactly Yernia’s taste.

It was evident that he knew and chose it himself.

“There’s no reason to dress up splendidly at a wedding unless you wanted the bride to kill you?”

“Oh, that’s right. Yes.”

She didn’t feel good around him after her last argument with Cassian.

If it were just a trivial fight, she would have forgotten it quickly, but what fate had expressed wasn’t trivial at all.

Her life was at stake.

So, when Cassian told her to wear that particular gown, a strange feeling rose from her, and now she didn’t want to wear them at all.

Still, her gaze didn’t move away from the sky blue dress that Cassian chose.

“That’s right. I don’t mind dying. I guess I will have to go with the gown you have picked for me.”

Just now, Yernia regretted her decision a little bit when she said she would choose another dress just to spite Cassian when in fact, she loved the sky blue dress the most.

As she the sky blue gown because she desired it to be hers,  Cassian shook his head at her and laughed.

“I’ll measure it for you. Come over here.”

Yernia followed the designer who offered to measure her.

The instant Yernia was out of his sight,  Seria gave Cassian an apologetic smile.

“I sincerely apologize about Yernia’s behavior towards you. Please take care of her.”

Her brother and the future successor of Hilliard, Ivan, completed engineering in the academy with Cassian.

At the same time, Seria, who was a year younger than Cassian, speaks to him informally in private.

She had seen him since she was so young, so she didn’t care much about Cassian either.

“Where are you going?”

“Well, I’m going to meet someone. Keep it a secret from Yernia, alright?”

He simply nodded and didn’t press for more information.

Since Seria had told him this in Yernia’s absence, Cassian had guessed to some extent that Yernia needed a guardian.

Even if there were knights scattered all over the city, the people of Siliade became nervous whenever Yernia went out because they didn’t know where she was going.

Cassian was the only one who could hold Yernia’s reins.

“What about you?”

Satisfied with her conversation with the designer, Yernia was about to return to Seria, but she had already disappeared.

“Something urgent came up, so she left first.”

“What? What’s going on?”

“I don’t think it’s a big deal. Don’t mind it.”

What kind of urgent things did Seria have to attend to?

Like her, Seria’was supposed to be free all day today.

Suddenly, Cassian left the dress shop, which puzzled Yena even more.

The sun was shining so bright as Yernia walked down the street, and out of nowhere, a kid came running in front of her.

As Yernia called Cassian’s name, she almost didn’t notice the child when she got distracted by the street food.

The little boy continued to sprint, and at that moment, he just narrowly missed Yernia before Cassian grabbed her waist.

Cassian hugged her, making Yernia bury her face in his chest.

She glanced up at him, and he noted that her face was flushed with embarrassment.

After bumping into Yernia, Cassian looked over his shoulder and continued to watch the kid’s back as he continued to run forward.

Yernia examined Cassian’s delicate side profile, which put her into this strange mood.

Was he this big all this time?

When they were young, both Yernia and Cassian had a similar height.

She was aware that he was starting to grow little by little since both were at the academy, but then she finally saw the difference clearly from up close.

He was one head bigger than Yernia in no time.

She just realized that now even if she saw Cassian every day.

Yernia had never been this close to him before.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

She almost couldn’t take her eyes off him until she slowly turned her head to the side.

Cassian’s eyebrows lifted as he stared deep into Yernia’s gaze.

Finally, Yernia came to her senses, and she immediately tried to separate her body from Cassian.

As soon as she pushed him away, frown lines marred Yernia’s forehead, and a moan came out of her parted lips.

“Ouch. My ankle hurts.”

Yernia endured the sharp sensations prickling at her foot.

She had accidentally moved her leg all of a sudden, and now, she seemed to have used the injured one.

Her left ankle throbbed, and she bit her lip.

“Are you hurt? Let me see.”

Cassian’s eyes widened when she let out a pained groan.

He wanted to check Yernia’s ankle, but she just couldn’t roll up her dress on the street while the crowd watched them.
