Chapter 528: Spy War

Bang!

The bullet exiting Anthozoa transformed into a dragon, containing not just the laws of the Earth but also a power capable of destroying Systems.

The dragon spanned a metre in length, opening its mouth as it clamped upon the humanoid memory cluster.

As this was just a weak clone of Straxia, the memories here were only arranged to imitate a basic Luck System. So, within two bullets, it was felled, annihilating the clone’s mind.

After that, the Double-Faced Monkey with peak cultivation returned to reality, dragging the clone’s mindless body with it, arriving at the rooftop of a house before gently placing Anthozoa atop the clone’s forehead.

Anthozoa’s nozzle emitted a suction force as soon after, it transformed into the mouth of a dragon that expanded in size and gobbled up the clone’s body, rapidly digesting it as two bullets were condensed.

They were special bullets as the Double-Faced Monkey smirked, flicking its hand as the two newly produced bullets appeared on the palm of its hands, coughed by the dragon. It reloaded one within Anthozoa for the time being, throwing the second into its mouth, crunching it as it smiled in delight, sensing its Mind Attribute growing stronger, attaining a mild trait of luck.

‘I can eat the second bullet a day later.’ It thought, vanishing from the scene. Similar phenomena were happening everywhere as the Double-Faced Monkeys killed the clones, refined their bodies into bullets through Anthozoa, and began to eat the bullets.

These special bullets further improved their Mind Attribute, making it easier for them to hunt the clones and kill them.

This was the special race that Compass Carburettor had developed to become System killers. Once he was able to lift the Restriction Order by himself, Compass Carburettor made some changes, creating a massive Reality Marble at the bottom-most dome of the Academy mountain, turning it into a permanent structure.

And this became the home to the Double-Faced Monkeys.

The entrance to the Reality Marble was permanently open, left at the bottommost dome of the Academy where they arrived to eat the Blood Vitality Fruits with the Mind Attribute.

By eating these fruits, they furthered their cultivation slowly but steadily. And once they reached the Martial Origin Stage, they began to roam outside after being granted Anthozoa and made into members of Secret Society.

This way, they were able to communicate with others easily and erect a perfect network everywhere. Adding onto the Origin Arts using their Mind Attribute…they were expert assassins.

This was why Compass Carburettor was never worried about his enemies, solely thinking of the way he would be killed. After all, the Double-Faced Monkeys with Anthozoa were a terrifying force.

In the future, any System that arrives here was practically food for them to fuel their growth further.

The Academy operated in the light, teaching everyone the methods to deal with Evil Spirits while in the dark was the Secret Society full of the Double-Faced Monkeys, hunting the Systems.

The Double-Faced Monkey at peak cultivation arrived at the edge of the city, looking around using a variety of Origin Arts as it was unable to sense any other clones, ‘At first, the portal to the Velar Secret Realm could only open between two trees. But now, it can appear between any two living beings.’

This was the reason the entrance to the Velar Secret Realm appeared anywhere it pleased. After all, instead of trees, it was now also able to use people, Origin Beasts, insects, etc. to appear.

Its senses were triggered as its figure vanished, appearing within the bedroom of a nearby home, noticing a lady walk out from the portal that was formed between a pair of husband and wife.

The moment she arrived, a faint spark flickered from the tip of her finger, causing the husband and wife to faint.

The lady gently caught hold of them and seated them on the ground, unleashing a couple more sparks that travelled through their nervous system, ensuring they wouldn’t remember the latest incident.

This way, her arrival would remain a secret. The eyelids of the couple fluttered as they seemed about to wake up. The lady ensured that they wouldn’t be unconscious for more than a minute, exercising utmost caution.

She then carefully tiptoed to the exit, sending out an electromagnetic pulse to detect any and all living beings in her vicinity, noticing that she was free of prying eyes as she exited the house.

But, what she was unaware of was the Double-Faced Monkey standing behind her, an entity her senses had picked up long ago but had glossed over for mysterious reasons.

So, it appeared like she hadn’t sensed it at all. After all, who in their right mind could miss out on a three-metre-tall hulking figure with two pairs of arms?

The moment the lady exited the house, she looked around, thinking, ‘I should bomb their railway network first. Or at least, I should damage it enough that it fails while transporting the people. That would reduce their trust in Compass Carburettor. Just this would be enough to affect his Luck.’

Upon thinking that, she began to walk through the streets, mingling among the crowd as she behaved no different from a native, casually walking past a certain shop as she suddenly noticed the fruits sold there.

“Boss, how much for a kilogram?” She asked, enthusiastic, pointing at a spiked fruit.

“Two Essence Stones.” The shopkeeper replied, packing the fruits in a bag before giving them to her.

“Thank you.” The lady smiled and carried the bag, walking forth as she expertly peeled the fruit’s skin and began to eat the pulp.

While eating, the seed appeared in her mouth as her tongue lashed onto it, licking its surface, feeling the indentation on it as lightning sparked through the contact surface.

Through that, information was passed onto her as the seed was charred into dust. The expression on her face soured for a moment—as if the fruit was not up to standards—as she swallowed the pulp, along with the dust before continuing to walk forth, making a turn around the corner before her figure turned into a bolt of lightning and swerved through a metal pipe, vanishing.

After all, the info in the seed contained the following words…

[Hidden enemies! Don’t remain in a spot for more than a minute.]

Author’s note: IMPORTANT~!!!
