Chapter 35 - Mungo is really super invincible ah!

Mungo's brothers just found Gaya. Who would have imagined that she came here to rob Ulam's cubs? The average Tyrannosaurus rex didn't have time to raise their own young ones, let alone steal other dinosaur's babies. Such a problem didn't exist.

Tyrannosaurus rex were cruel. Some females even ate weaker cubs to ensure that the stronger ones had enough meat to eat. Many of them deliberately ignored these weaker cubs so that they would either starve to death or get lost.

A female Tyrannosaurus rex such as Gaya could be said to be basically nonexistent, belonging to the outlier of a different class.

Even if Gaya didn't come to rob Ulam's cubs, it would still be dangerous to enter Ulam's territory alone.

Tyrannosaurus rex had a very strong territorial consciousness and were extremely exclusive to those not of their own ethnic group. Unless allowed, others Tyrannosaurus rex absolutely could not enter their territory. Invaders would surely be attacked fiercely and killed. !! Mungo left Gulu on this side of the river. He let Moluo, the strongest male Tyrannosaurus rex, take care of him while Mungo rushed across with the rest of his brothers.

Gulu was very anxious. He counted 12 extremely strong adult male Tyrannosaurus rex behind Ulam. With Monroe and Moluo not taking part in the battle, there're only 13 males on Mungo's side. And all of them were adolescents!

In fact, Gulu wanted to say that he could just hide in the fern bushes and didn't need Moluo to stay with him. But he knew that Mungo would definitely not agree.

If Gulu asked Moluo to join the fight now, first of all, Moluo wouldn't listen to him. Even if he did, his entrance may distract Mungo because Gulu was left unprotected over here.

Moluo dropped to the ground and encircled Gulu with his short front paws. He's afraid that Gulu might be frightened once it got too bloody later.

At the same time, Gulu noticed that Gaya seemed to be looking at a particularly strong male Tyrannosaurus rex behind Ulam. She caught the male's eyes and dodged his gaze. Her body trembled slightly, as if she's afraid of this male Tyrannosaurus rex.

Mungo with 12 male Tyrannosaurus rex instantly appeared behind Gaya. They arrived so quickly that it looked as if they just surfaced from the ground. !! You are reading stolen text, if you read this at any other site besides idleturtle-translations.com. !!

More than a dozen giant Tyrannosaurus rex were standing all around the water. The light during nighttime was limited. The cold water that flowed past their huge bodies turned into black shadows filled with evil forces. Under the cover of darkness, these domineering giants appeared like demons and beasts from hell.

Gulu was very sure. Mungo also stared at the male Tyrannosaurus rex just like Gaya. His eyes were bloodthirsty, brutal and cruel. It seemed as if Mungo couldn't wait to tear apart this male into pieces. Anger turned Mungo's eyes into blood red.

Due to Mungo's arrival, Gaya appeared less afraid, but she still tried hard to protect the little Tyrannosaurus rex beneath her.

Meanwhile, Gulu noticed that there're still three small Tyrannosaurus rex in the nest not far from Ulam, but none of the them look as strong as the one Gaya "stole".

Gulu thought: It's over. Gaya really went after Ulam's strongest cub. Ulam must be mad. I don't know how bloody and brutal this war will be.

Ulam was really incensed. She's so angry that she wanted to rush over and tear Gaya to pieces. But she couldn't do it yet. Beside the other female was her strongest cub. A battle between more than 20 Tyrannosaurus rex was too horrible. The little Tyrannosaurus rex was likely to be trampled to death.

She realized that Gaya, as an abnormal "dinosaur stealing cubs", would not consider whether the little one could survive after the fight, but she had to consider it as the biological mother.

Ulam also knew why Gaya wanted to rob her cub. The Triceratops Gulu, whom Gaya had raised as a Tyrannosaurus rex, was Pado's son. Pado was the most powerful Triceratops leader. Gulu must go back to his group!

Gulu and Pado's "recognizing relative" news spread very fast. After all, Gulu was first raised by the strongest Tyrannosaurus rex and now discovered a father who was the most powerful Triceratops leader. This situation was really amazing. All dinosaurs in Yukan couldn't help but "gossip". Ulam also heard about it.

But Ulam didn't understand. Gulu left. Why did you come to steal my son? If you have the ability, go find Pado and get Gulu back!

The situation was like this for Gaya: My son is now one less, give me one of yours! I don't care, I want him!

Ulam: ???!

Even though Ulam was extremely infuriated at these thoughts, she suppressed her anger and said, "Mungo, you make Gaya return my cub to me and leave my territory immediately. We don't have to fight this one."

Mungo also hoped that Gaya would return the cub to Ulam. Gaya was too protective of the young ones. If a fight happened later, she would definitely try her best to protect the cub and would probably get hurt or even die.

Gaya shouted at Ulam: "This is my cub, mine!"

Ulam: …

Mungo: "Gaya, this isn't your cub. Your cub is on the other side. Look, Gulu is over there."

One moment before, Mungo looked just like a demon from hell about to tear everything apart. His eyes burned with anger and hot-bloodedness. But the Mungo who spoke to Gaya was very gentle. They didn't look like the same dinosaur at all. !! You are reading stolen text, if you read this at any other site besides idleturtle-translations.com. !!

Gulu saw Mungo and Gaya looking at him at the same time. He jumped around excitedly in his place and shouted with his loudest voice: "Mom! I'm Gulu! I'm here! Come back! I won't leave, Mom …"

Gaya froze. After a while, she suddenly seemed to wake up. She left the little cub and ran to the other side of the river. Soon she returned to Gulu's side, rubbing on him crazily with her big head.

Gulu felt so distressed for Gaya that his tears couldn't stop flowing. He cried and said: "Mom, Mom, I won't go. Don't be sad. Don't rob Ulam's cub again. Ulam is so fierce. You will get hurt …"

Gaya didn't speak either. She desperately rubbed against Gulu and circled Gulu tightly with her short forelimbs for fear that he would disappear again.

Mungo didn't want to hurt Ulam's cub. After Gaya left, the cub ran back to Ulam who immediately took him back to the nest.

Ulam looked at Mungo and let out a roar. This was both her expulsion and "truce". She wanted Mungo and his brothers to leave her territory immediately. In exchange, she wouldn't pursue this further or continue to fight.

This situation was almost impossible. No Tyrannosaurus rex would let go of other Tyrannosaurus rex who entered their territory without permission. What's more, this was Ulam. Such an outcome was even more unimaginable for a strong tyrant like her.

All of the Tyrannosaurus rex behind Ulam were shocked, but they obeyed Ulam's leadership.

However, Mungo stared at the largest male Tyrannosaurus rex behind her and roared.

Moluo suddenly became uneasy. He whispered, "Mungo wants to eat Moke! I have to go! Gaya, take good care of Gulu!"

(T/N: Moke is read as Mo Ke)

Gulu finally knew why Gaya was so afraid of the male Tyrannosaurus rex. It turned out that this male was Gaya's first mate as an adult.

Gulu heard Monroe spoke about Gaya's past before. The reason why Gaya was so protective of her cubs to the point of not valuing her own life, and the cause of why her degree of protection toward them far exceeded that of a normal female Tyrannosaurus rex, could be attributed to this Moke.

In fact, most female Tyrannosaurus rex didn't protect their young ones at all. Why did these cubs have to leave their mother around the age of 2? Because 2-year-old Tyrannosaurus rex ate too much! The female Tyrannosaurus rex simply couldn't afford to feed them. Many females would even eat these young ones when there's nothing else to eat.

Gulu heard Monroe say that Gaya and Moke gave birth to five small Tyrannosaurus rex, none of which survived. What exactly caused their death was unknown to Monroe. Only Gaya probably knew. !! You are reading stolen text, if you read this at any other site besides idleturtle-translations.com. !!

Tyrannosaurus rex had their own territory after growing up. Adult Tyrannosaurus rex usually lived alone or in the form of a family.

After Gaya and Moke got together, they lived and raised their cubs in their own territory. Even Mungo and Monroe couldn't enter her land.

In short, Moke later left Gaya. When Gaya returned to Mungo, she was seriously injured. Mungo's brothers all thought that she would die. Gaya also thought that she wouldn't survive. She just wanted to come back and see her two younger brothers one last time.

However, Mungo never gave up Gaya. Every day, all kinds of fresh prey were continuously supplied to her. Gaya ate very well and miraculously recovered a few months later.

Gaya had always wanted a cub since she came back. This became her obsession. She mated with a male Tyrannosaurus rex. After mating, she drove the male away and lived in Mungo's territory. Guji and Gudong were the cubs of Gaya and the male Tyrannosaurus rex.

The male Tyrannosaurus rex, who was driven away by Gaya, also seemed to have died later, but it wasn't clear how he died.

Gaya stared at Moke. Her body uncontrollably trembled. She held Gulu tightly. Gaya was very afraid, fearing that Moke would eat Gulu.

All those bad memories in the past emerged. Moke ate her cubs. First, he bit the weakest ones. But the dry season was too long for them to find food. Moke was extremely large and couldn't stand hunger at all …

Every time Moke wanted to eat her cubs, Gaya always tried her best to protect them, but Moke was too big for Gaya to beat. Every time she was injured by Moke, she was black and blue all over.

When there was only one cub left, Gaya desperately attacked Moke. Finally, that cub was also eaten. Even Gaya herself was almost eaten and barely managed to escape.

Tyrannosaurus rex would eat their own kind, especially during the dry season when foods were scarce. But no matter how cruel a Tyrannosaurus rex was, it seldom ate its own cubs and mate. Moke was too cruel and bloodthirsty.

Gulu actually knew the habits of Tyrannosaurus rex. A few extremely fierce females would bite their mate to death when they had no food at all during the long dry season. They then used the flesh of these males to keep themselves and their young ones alive.

Unfortunately, Gaya was not as big and cruel as Moke, so she and her cubs became Moke's meat.

However, a female Tyrannosaurus rex killed a male in order to feed her cubs. Moke even ate his own cubs. Moke's behavior was quite different from these female Tyrannosaurus rex.

Therefore, even in the world view of Tyrannosaurus rex, Moke was a super scumbag dinosaur.

However, a Tyrannosaurus rex's mind held no moral constraint. The more powerful it was, the more it could do whatever it wanted. Everything was for survival and reproduction.

Ulam didn't know the past of Moke and Gaya. Even if she did, Ulam wouldn't care. Tyrannosaurus rex were completely different from human beings.

With this roar from Mungo, Ulam understood that Mungo was going to eat Moke alive.

But Ulam liked this Moke very much. Moke was the mate that she was searching for. She was very satisfied with him. Among more than ten of these male Tyrannosaurus rex, he was her favorite.

Ulam wanted to keep Moke as her mate since he was the largest male Tyrannosaurus rex. She felt that Mungo was simply trying to fight her. Ulam became very angry and let out a loud roar. All of the male Tyrannosaurus rex behind her instantly readied for combat.

This Moke only arrived in Ulam's territory today. Ulam was very happy. She finally settled down for such a huge and strong male Tyrannosaurus rex.

Mungo also issued a roar then directly rushed at Moke.

T/N: A reader brought up a good point about some confusing measurement units. For height and length (m or cm), they should be fairly accurate in terms of translation. Anything that doesn't make sense, you can add "up to" in front.

For example: if a "1 meter long claw" doesn't make sense given the body size of the dinosaur, just think of it as "up to 1 meter long claw". I'm not sure if it's the original author's mistake or if I missed some other nuances there haha.

Unfortunately, I just found out that many of the kg is actually Jin or catty. It was so consistently translated as kg by MTL that I never caught this discrepancy. Some sources say Jin is equaled to catty, but others mention that they're different. 1 Jin = 0.5 kg while 1 catty = 0.6 kg. The term 斤 can translate to either one. For convenience sake, I will just assume that the author meant 1 Jin = 0.5 kg. It's easier to just half the number.

Dang, now I need to go back and fix the weight in those chapters?!  At least, the 'ton' is still right…

On another note, it seems that people are having trouble commenting. I think the issue might be because of the extra comment box that I added at the top for convenience? It's always been there though… I'm not sure why the issue is only happening now. Just in case, I took it out.

In an instant, more than 20 Tyrannosaurus rex entangled together. They roared, tearing at each other. Dust billowed from the fight scene and a thick blood scent instantly spread out.

Gulu was very nervous while Gaya greatly shook. He rubbed Gaya's big head and comforted her: "Mom, Mungo is the best Tyrannosaurus rex. Mungo will win, definitely …"

In fact Gulu didn't know whether Mungo would win.

Moke was a very strong male Tyrannosaurus rex. He was the most famous male before Mungo. Even now, although Mungo was larger than many adult male Tyrannosaurus rex, he's still not as big as Moke.

Of course, once Mungo came of age, he would definitely be much larger than Moke. But right now, he's still an adolescent who wanted to fight with Moke, which was very dangerous.

Mungo rushed straight to the front of Moke and bit hard with every bite. Moke was also a battle-hardened dinosaur. He could always avoid every attack of Mungo accurately and would use his huge size advantage to hit Mungo. !! You are reading stolen text, if you read this at any other site besides idleturtle-translations.com. !!

Now it's basically a one-on-one fight between Mungo and Moke. Mungo's other brothers needed to hold off Ulam and the other eleven powerful Tyrannosaurus rex to prevent them from attacking Mungo.

Mungo attacked Moke like crazy. His eyes were red with blood and the top of his head became bright crimson. This wasn't the first time Gulu saw Mungo fight. But the top of his head now became so brightly crimson. Even when Mungo and Titan fought, there was no such thing!

Moke also countered viciously at Mungo, but he was not as deadly nor as cruel as Mungo. Mungo seemed to no longer feel pain. He completely turned into a demon from hell that only knew how to be a beast, a grim reaper!

Mungo would not avoid any attack from Moke but retaliated harder. Just then, Moke bit off a piece of meat on Mungo's back. Mungo roared back with a fiercer bite, tearing off a larger chunk of meat from Moke's back.

Gaya was very scared. She hugged Gulu tightly and cried, "Don't come here. Don't come here …"

Gulu rubbed Gaya and kept comforting her.

Seeing more and more blood on Mungo and so much of his meat bitten off, Gulu couldn't help crying while comforting Gaya.

At this instance, Gulu really hated how he couldn't grow up quickly. He had to become big, larger and more powerful than Pado. He would rush in and use his horns to pierce Moke's belly!

Gulu had never feel such a strong desire to be the best Triceratops before. Even if he sounded good when declaring that he would become a Triceratops as powerful as Pado, there was no actual action. Mungo had to force him to practice fighting.

With Mungo's training, he could still forget that he was a Triceratops when fighting! Gulu felt that he was too useless.

In fact, he was protected too well by Mungo. Mungo was so powerful that Gulu never had to worry about being eaten. He never developed a very strong sense of crisis.

But today, Gulu realized that Mungo also had dinosaurs that he couldn't beat. Mungo was still an adolescent. There're so many adult male Tyrannosaurus rex that are bigger and stronger than him.

Even if Mungo became the largest and the most powerful Tyrannosaurus rex, there would always be times of danger. In the dinosaur world, there was no absolute victory. Only by constantly making yourself more powerful could you be invincible.

Gulu secretly vowed in his heart that he would become the most formidable and invincible Triceratops. If any Tyrannosaurus rex dared to let Mungo bleed again, he would kill them with his horns! After they died, he would stomp on them into meat pies!

Moke was gradually overwhelmed by Mungo's extreme cruelty and bloodthirst. He felt that Mungo seemed not afraid of pain or death. He was crazy.

Of course, Moke had always known that Mungo was very cruel, and that he's Gaya's brother. He's also afraid of Mungo's revenge, so he had been living far away from Mungo's territory.

But Moke liked Ulam very much. He couldn't resist her call. !! You are reading stolen text, if you read this at any other site besides idleturtle-translations.com. !!

At last, he came to Ulam's territory. He knew that Ulam had many strong male Tyrannosaurus rex around her. Mungo definitely dared not come here for revenge, as long as he stayed in her area.

Besides, Mungo was still an adolescent. He couldn't allow himself to be so afraid of an adolescent Tyrannosaurus rex and thus resolutely came to Ulam's territory.

Moke was finally frightened by Mungo's crazy attacks. He instinctively retreated to avoid injuries. He approached Ulam and other male Tyrannosaurus rex asking for help.

Mungo didn't relent. Of course, Moke also fought back fiercely. Mungo continued to suffer new injuries.

Moluo was the strongest Tyrannosaurus rex in the entire group except Mungo. He's flanked by Ulam and another Tyrannosaurus rex while covered in blood.

Seeing that Ulam as about to give Moluo a fatal bite, Mungo turned to bite Ulam's back. She jumped away in pain. Moluo gave chase and killed another male Tyrannosaurus rex that attacked him.

Because of helping Moluo, Mungo was bitten by Moke again on his back. However, he was unaware of the pain and returned to tear off the meat on Moke's back.

Mungo would never allow his brothers to die in this battle. This was originally his vengeance. He wanted to revenge Moke for Gaya. It had nothing to do with his brothers. Even if he died, he couldn't let his brothers get killed!

Therefore, as long as Mungo's brothers were in danger of life, Mungo would definitely rush over and bite frantically regardless of his own life.

Ulam was shocked. She didn't expect Mungo to be so fierce. Mungo was still an adolescent Tyrannosaurus rex. He's able to fight Moke one on one while dashing through the melee to save every dinosaur in his group.

Moke, on the other hand, was evasive and didn't dare to confront an adolescent Tyrannosaurus rex whose body size was not as big as his own. He also tried to seek help from other Tyrannosaurus rex.

Ulam was downright disappointed. How could she have a crush on this large male?

Moke never expected that his instinctive avoidance and retreat directly led to his fatality.

Ulam howled and ran in the opposite direction, shouting as she ran. She was calling on other male Tyrannosaurus rex to retreat with her.

These males were in high spirits. Tyrannosaurus rex was very cruel and bloodthirsty. they wouldn't stop until they killed each other. They didn't want to leave.

Ulam kept howling. Because Mungo was also too cruel, all of the male Tyrannosaurus rex soon followed after her.

Now there was only one male Tyrannosaurus rex left, Moke. Moke panicked. Mungo and the dozen or so Tyrannosaurus rex could tear him to pieces in an instant.

Mungo let out a loud roar. His brothers immediately understood. Don't directly kill. Just bring him close to the death then rushed him to the other side of the river to be eaten bite by bite!

Moke trembled. He completely regretted coming to Ulam.

More than a dozen Tyrannosaurus rex swarmed in. Moke was quickly bitten bloody all over with no intact skin left.

Gulu finally breathed a sigh of relief. Then he became nauseated by the strong blood scent, which was even stronger than when those Mapusaurus ate the Argentinosaurus alive. !! You are reading stolen text, if you read this at any other site besides idleturtle-translations.com. !!

He saw that the vast fern fields on the other side were dyed crimson. Blood and fleshes were thrown everywhere.

Moke was already dying when he was driven down the Dada River. The river instantly dyed red. Crowds of Sarcosuchus in the river wanted to eat this easy dinner and gathered in groups amidst the red river. Suddenly, the river seemed to be covered with a layer of crocodile skin carpet.

But Mungo's Tyrannosaurus rex was too many and too strong. They could kill them one by one. These Sarcosuchus were very fierce at ordinary times but didn't dare to rashly approach now. They could only watch a top prey slipped away from their mouths.

Mungo looked at this group of Sarcosuchus. He let out a roar that shook the Dada river.

Crowds of Sarcosuchus immediately disappeared: Can't afford it. Can't afford it. Slip away. Slip away.

Moke had no strength to stand when he was brought ashore on the opposite side. He fell to the ground with a bang.

Mungo was covered in blood. He stood on Moke's body and let out a loud roar. The whole continent of Yukan seemed to reverberate with his shout.

The full moon was like blood. The Dada River was dyed red. This battle would become one of the most legendary battles in the continent of Yukan.

Then Mungo went to Gaya. Moke was not dead, but he didn't have the strength to stand up again, so Mungo's brothers stopped attacking him.

Even though Moke couldn't get up, Gaya was still very afraid and didn't dare to go to his side.

Mungo rubbed Gaya's neck tenderly and told her, "Gaya, go. Bite him and eat him alive."

Gaya thought about her young cubs killed by Moke and recalling herself almost eaten by him. Remembering the eyes of those little ones when they looked at her before they died, Gaya rushed toward Moke with a roar.

Her body violently shook because she's still afraid of Moke. Yet, she nevertheless bravely and fiercely bit at him, piece by piece.

Gulu rubbed Mungo, who was covered in injuries and looked up at him with his eyes filled with tears. Mungo was so tall and big, so fierce, but he must hurt right now.

No other male Tyrannosaurus rex attacked Moke again. Gaya ate Moke alive.

Moke was already dying. If more than a dozen Tyrannosaurus rex were on the scene at the same time, he would die with a few bites. Mungo didn't want him to die so fast. Mungo would let him die slowly while Gaya took her time eating him.

Since Gaya was the only Tyrannosaurus rex that ate his meat, Moke may not die until next morning.

Gulu hated Moke so much that he ran over and rammed Moke hard repeatedly with his head. Even if he was too young, and might not make Moke feel pain, he still wanted to hit him.

Gulu hit until his head was full of blood. His three horns tasted the blood of a Tyrannosaurus rex for the first time.

Mungo and Gaya didn't stop him. When Gulu's horn grew longer, Mungo would go and catch other small Tyrannosaurus rex to let Gulu practice fighting and survival skills. This training should start with killing those small Tyrannosaurus rex.

Triceratopses' natural enemy was Tyrannosaurus rex. Tyrannosaurus rex's favorite food was a Triceratops. If Gulu wanted to become an invincible Triceratops, he must win against Tyrannosaurus rex. Once he could beat them, other dinosaurs naturally didn't need be worried about.

As Gulu attacked Moke, he suddenly heard a loud roar from the dozen of Tyrannosaurus rex on the other side of the river.

He looked over there. A group of male Tyrannosaurus rex surrounded Ulam, seeming as if to eat her!

Gulu knew that it would be a long night.
