“Ah~!”

Today is the third day since we set out for King’s Landing. It‘s now time for a short break after lunch. Everyone is outside, as staying in the carriage all the time is bad for your health. I let out a sigh as I looked at the green sword.

This sword is a good sword. It has the best cutting ability of any sword I’ve ever used. But I didn’t want to take it because it felt a little different than the first time I used it. There are no cracks or spills, so I don’t think it’s going to break. But when I use it, I feel something strange. I told them about it a while ago and had them check it out, but they couldn’t figure out the cause. That’s why I wanted to leave this sword in the elven village. I felt that if I brought it to them like I did before, they would just give it back. Then it’s just a matter of not using it even if they give it to me, but even though it feels strange, I end up using it when I have it because it’s easier to use than any other sword.

“What should I do?”

“What’s wrong, Zero-niisama?”

“No, it’s nothing.”

A little while later, I returned to the carriage. This carriage is pulled by three horses that are so strong that they could be mistaken for monsters. The speed of this carriage is many times faster than ordinary carriages. That’s why it takes about two weeks to reach the royal capital. However, the procedure to enter human territory from elven territory is said to take about a day.

“Huh? Come to think of it, how did Sophie enter the elven territory?”

The procedure to enter the territory of another race takes about a day or so, even if they have a legitimate reason like we do now. Well, I guess the reason why the procedure takes a day or so this time is because of the presence of the elf queen.

“Do you think there’s any way I could legally enter elven territory alone?”

“Oh come on… No way.”

I certainly don’t think there’s any legitimate reason for Sophie to be granted permission to enter elven territory.

“Transfer magic is convenient, isn’t it?”

“Huh?”

Apparently, Sophie entered the elven territory without any formalities. But that doesn’t mean I think the gatekeeper is a monkey guard. Sophie is the one who can use such a cheat magic as transferring. But, on the other hand, it means that a person as good as Sophie can go to another race’s country without going through any formalities.

“The various tribes have been discussing this issue for years, but they haven’t found a solution.”

“Well, yes.”

As Judy said, a solution will be hard to find. If we install magical tools, we will only be able to get to other races’ territories by climbing the high walls that separate the races’ territories by ourselves, but there’s no way we can prepare expensive magical tools that block such a large amount of magic.

“You shouldn’t do that too often, Sophie.”

“Yes.”

She probably wouldn’t listen to me, but I told her just in case. Sophie had never been a strict rule follower in her previous life. She probably thinks that it’s okay to break the rules to some extent as long as it does not cause trouble to others.

So if something happened to me again, like this time, Sophie would go to another tribe’s territory with impunity.

The rest of the trip went without any problems. We headed for the royal capital, occasionally having mock battles with Elira and Sophie during our breaks.

“Please, let’s rest here for a while.”

“Yes. Thank you.”

Finally, we arrived at the human territory. Through this gate, we would be in the Kingdom of Lingalia. And in two days we’ll reach the royal capital. Right now we’re in a little luxurious building temporarily established a short distance away from the gate. It must have been built in haste in anticipation of the arrival of the elf queen. The furniture looks very nice.

“Zeros-sama, you’ll be separated from Judy and I when we arrive at the royal capital.”

“Is that so? I understand.”

The elf queen had a lot of things to do and she’s probably busy. But Elira is free, so I was told I could take her out.

“What are you going to do when we get to King’s Landing? I guess I’ll start adventuring again.”

I asked Sophie excitedly. First of all, we should say hello to Shana and Claudia, right? We have to apologize for our sudden absence.

“I already know what we’re going to do.”

“What? What are we going to do?”

I don’t think I had any particular plans. I’m not certain if I have to go through some formalities because I suddenly went abroad to study.

“When we get to King’s Landing, the first thing you have to do is study.”

“Eh? Why ……?”

“The test that took place while you were studying abroad must be taken within two months of the end of your study. I’ve already made you study for it once, so it won’t be that hard to study. I will stay with you and teach you until you’re perfectly prepared, so don’t worry.”

“……”

By the way, Sophie wanted me to study in the carriage, but she didn’t have any study tools, so she gave up on the idea. Oh no…what should I do? I’m not looking forward to getting to the capital at all. But even so, the days passed steadily and we arrived at the capital.
