These souls were confused as they hadn’t realised where they were.
Sima You Yue noticed many people were swallowing their saliva as they stared at these souls with brightened eyes. It was as if they were going to go up and split these souls, but they stood still on the ground with no movements.
“Where is this?”
“Who are we? Why are there so many people here?”

Hundreds of souls were standing on the ground, not knowing where they were or who they were. They didn’t know what was coming for them, but experiencing this was scary.
When they wanted to escape, a group of troops ran over and surrounded them.
“Who are you? What do you want?!”
“Don’t hurt us!”
“Let us go!”
The troops didn’t listen to them as the head of the troop shouted, “Test their skills!”
A few of them stood out from the troop and went to the plain ground, holding a blood red stone as they stood close to the souls and put the testing stones into their body.
They screeched in pain when their body was penetrated with an arm along with the stone. Some of the weaker souls disappeared into smoke as they couldn’t bear the force.
And as for those who could bear the strength, the testing stone changed colour when it entered their body. The lowest grade would shine with a red light. The stronger the Soul Power, the lighter the colour would be. There were a total of seven grades. Based on the discussion of the crowd, it seemed like the strongest one would turn the testing stone white. However, none of them possessed such a talent.
After the testing was done, the souls that changed the testing stone in four grades were taken away by the soldiers, leaving seventy to eighty percent of the souls not knowing what to do.
Sima You Yue noticed that the eyes of the crowd became fanatical and pulled Wu Lingyu away. After the soldiers left, those who were restraining themselves suddenly became crazy as they flew towards the souls.
Some of them caught the souls then used underworld power to suppress them into a small ball and…. ate them.
