Lucius turned his head away.

I saw a strong man standing at the door, his left arm was firmly locked on Walker's neck and his bound hands, his right hand was holding a pistol, and the muzzle of the gun was pressed against his temple.

However, the moment he said "Let her go", two guns were quickly pointed at him.

Seeing this, the strong man subconsciously hid behind Walker, shouting hastily.

"Don't move! Your accomplices are in my hands! I know you are strong, but can you still be faster than a bullet?"

Lucius, who was holding the gun, was stunned for a moment, and the corners of his mouth turned up unnaturally.

I am strong?

Hey, this is so embarrassing.

After more than five months in the wasteland, this was the first time someone praised him for being strong.

"Nico? You're not dead?!" Sumeria stared at the person at the door with wide eyes.

The strong man's expression was obviously a little embarrassed, but he managed to squeeze a smile out of his face.

"Hehe, it's not so easy for me to explain here, just wait, I'll get you out first!"

The hope of life was rekindled in Sumeria's eyes.

If possible, she certainly didn't want to fall into the hands of these 'Primitives'. With the remaining five toes, she could imagine how she would be treated as a captive.

Occasionally there will be captured mercenaries, redeemed from slavers by teammates or someone from the insurance company, if they happen to be sold to Boulder.

But even if they are still alive, they are no different from dead.

Finally breaking free from under the strong man's arm, Walker, who was almost suffocated to death, didn't even take a breath.

I saw him struggling desperately while yelling.

"Shoot! Fire at me!! What are you waiting for!"

"F*ck... This basterd body odor is so smelly that it's killing me!"

If he knew what this guy was yelling about, maybe the strong man would not be able to resist to kill him.

But it's a pity. The man didn't understand, he just thought the hostage was noisy.

Raising the handle of the gun and hitting the hostage on the back of the head severely, Niko sternly reprimanded him.

"Be silent, if you wanted to live!"

How can Walker be silent?

He couldn't feel the pain of exceeding the limit at all, but because he was hit so hard, he was so angry that he yelled harder.

"Fire at me! Master Manager, please don't worry about me, I won't die!"

Nonsense. Of course I know you can't die. But Who do you think is paying for you!

Lucius rolled his eyes in his heart, but his face didn't reveal anything, he looked at the strong man named Niko at the door calmly, and said lightly.

"I don't like being threatened. You'd better put the gun down and put your hands over your head against the wall. I can spare your life."

Niko said excitedly.

"I'm not kidding you! I can shoot!"

"Me too," Lucius looked at him calmly, "Do you want to try? Let's count to three and do it together."

Sumeria, who was leaning under the bar, couldn't stand it any longer. She didn't want her teammates who managed to escape from death, because she confessed here.

"That's enough, Niko, you can go alone...don't worry about me."

Lucius ignored her and said the first number softly.

"3."

Looking at Lucius who had already started counting down, a drop of cold sweat slid across Niko's forehead.

The madman!

Don't you care about the life and death of your companions at all! And the hostage in his hand, with a generous expression on his face, didn't look like a hostage at all.

Crazy.

All crazy!

"Wait a minute, stop, I don't intend to threaten you! It's okay if you want her, I just want one thing!" Niko admitted that he was cowardly.

Taking a quick look at Sumeria who was sitting on the ground, he continued speaking quickly, "Give me the key on her body, and I will release him immediately when I get the key!"

Lucius raised his eyebrows, a little curious.

"key?"

"A magnetic card! She knows what I'm talking about!"

Lucius looked at Sumeria who was lying on the ground, but the woman didn't look at him, but just looked at her former teammates blankly.

"So you're here for the key..."

"Whatever you say, instead of dying here for no reason, it's better to let me complete part of the commission."

Teammate?

This is wasteland.

Originally, Niko planned to wait for the crawler to leave before touching the bodies of his teammates. Otherwise, he would not have pretended to be dead and ran for his life. He had been watching coldly, and only now came to help her.

Niko ignored the disappointed former teammate, pointed his gun at the hostage's temple and backed away slowly, staring fixedly at the expression on Lucius's face.

"How about it? A woman, and your companion, I just want a card on her body! It's useless for you to hold it anyway."

Lucius nodded.

"Makes sense."

But……

No need.

Lucius looked at Sumeria.

"Give him that key."

Seeing that the manager didn't shoot for a long time, but instead started negotiating with the kidnappers, Walker struggled more intensely, fearing that the NPC would compromise with the kidnappers for himself.

"Don't worry about me! Tomorrow, are you so stupid, shoot!"

Your father is a player. Not afraid of death.

Dying here is also a heroic sacrifice, and the favorability would be increases with speed of rocket!

"What the hell... don't move around, let me take a look."

Tomorrow was nervous.

How dare he can move?

It's not that he can't do it, it's not that he hasn't done such things as making up teammates when he was playing other fighting games, but this game is not any random game after all, and the manager didn't do anything, how could he dare to mess around?

What if you miss the key plot!

Sumeria silently took out the blood-stained magnetic card from his pocket, which was given to her by the captain before he died.

Logically speaking, it is impossible for Niko to know that this card is on her.

Unless he has already touched the captain's body.

Sumeria looked at his former teammates expressionlessly, feeling more numb than sad or fearful. Maybe I will end up miserable in the future.

Tossed in a corner like a dirty rag to mold, or resold by these savages to other slavers until she could no longer work.

But she suddenly felt that these were not important anymore.

"Take it."

Between two fingers, she threw the card out.

Looking at the card that fell by his feet, Niko's eyes flashed with ecstasy and uncontainable greed for a moment, he stretched out his foot to step on it, trying to kick it out of the door.

However, at this moment, something unexpected happened to him.

Almost at the same time as he stretched out his right foot, the hostage struggling fiercely in his arms suddenly weakened, slipped from his elbow, and directly knelt on the ground with one knee.

Before Niko realized what was going on, there were two gunshots next to him, one of which shot right through his forehead.

A stream of blood mist exploded in front of his forehead.

Niko, who stared wide-eyed, fell straight backwards, never realizing until his death what happened just now.

"F*ck! Headshot!"

Removed the barrel in his hand, Tomorrow shouted excitedly.

"That's what I shot. Your bullets flew to the street lamp outside...you should practice hard." Lucius reloaded the rifle with a speechless face.

He has given up hope on the marksmanship of these players.

Speaking of which, this is the first time he has used the authority of 'GM' to force a player to be kicked offline from the game.

I didn't expect this feature to be surprisingly useful.

Of course, if the player asks, he won't admit it. At most, he will use his identity as a planner to explain network fluctuations.

"You, kill him..."

Sumeria looked at Lucius blankly, apparently not expecting him to shoot suddenly.

Lucius said impatiently.

"As I said, I hate people threatening me, not to mention I gave him a chance."

Not to mention the guy who pointed the gun at him.

While talking, Walker, who was kneeling on the floor, suddenly twitched and woke up with a dazed expression.

"Why did I get disconnected just now?"

His gaze moved blankly and landed on the dead man behind him. Walker suddenly shuddered and jumped up from the ground reflexively.

"F*ck, how did this guy die?"

Miss the plot again?!

Tomorrow walked over and patted him on the shoulder.

"Maybe it's due to network fluctuations. It's good to be able to log back in... One shot to the head, hehe, brother is awesome?"

"This is cheating!"

All right.

It seems that I can even save the step of explaining.

Looking away from the two players, Lucius felt that he had almost recovered, so he got up from the chair in the dining room.

Walking to Niko's body, Lucius reached out and picked up the blood-stained card and the dropped pistol from his feet.

The former is temporarily useless, but the latter is a good thing.

Lucius played with the pistol for a while. It seems that this thing should be semi-automatic. I don't know how powerful it is, but it should not be small.

"I'm going to go, I wish for luck."

Seeing Lucius talking to herself, Sumeria looked up in a daze.

"Aren't you taking me with you?"

Lucius asked back.

"Did I say I would take you away?"

Sumeria was stunned.

This was completely different from what she had expected, and it was completely beyond her expectations.

But now there was no time left for her to think.

Seeing that the man named Lucius was really not joking, he led his two loyal men towards the door.

When she thought that she was going to be left here alone, she suddenly panicked.

"You...are you really not predators?"

Lucius stopped in his tracks, looked at her and made fun of her.

"Are you disappointed?"

"I," Sumeria opened his mouth, embarrassed for a while, coughed dryly and continued, "I mean, you are survivors nearby? Can you take me to your settlement?"

She had nowhere to go anyway.

Wanting to walk back to Boulder City on one leg is simply more outrageous than single-handedly overcoming the creeper, not to mention that she can't go back.

Since the group in front of me was not a raider or a slave trader, it would not be a bad idea to go with them.

However, Lucius didn't want to take this oil bottle with him.

The current medical condition of the refuge definitely cannot install a mechanical prosthesis for her, at most let a carpenter make a crutch for her to use.

Without a leg, he would definitely not be able to do heavy work, and with an extra mouth to eat out of thin air, it would be better to recruit more players if he had this food.

But at this moment, he heard the whispers of the two players talking.

"Is this woman a new NPC?"

"It's possible, but it's hard to say... It seems that the manager doesn't plan to bring her along."

"But I think she can still be saved."

"Indeed, it seems that she should be a mercenary or something. Even if a leg is broken, it shouldn't be a problem to make guns and weapons, right?"

Emmm...

It seems reasonable to say so.

Lucius thought for a while, then looked at Sumeria.

"I'll be blunt. You are a burden now. Even if you are placed in a nearby survivor colony, your fate will not be much better than death."

Sumeria bit her lip and lowered her head.

This is the truth. Needless to say, she could imagine what would happen to her.

Looking at the silent woman, Lucius continued.

"Of course, if you have a skill, I can take you with me..."

"As long as you're willing to work for me."
