On the way back to the orphanage, I stopped at an armor shop and bought an iron shield.

I bought a basic, cheaply made one to practice blacksmithing, too.

The leather shield will still suffice for the monsters we fight in the hunt with the old man and his friends when we gather, but we will need it in the future.

The armor shop also had iron armor, but the armor is still heavy for us, even if it's hand or foot armor, and even if we wanted to make it, we are not yet at that level of blacksmithing, so we couldn't buy it yet.

When I returned to the orphanage, the first thing I did was give the swords I bought to the two of them and give them the wood to make the scabbard.

Last time I checked how to make the scabbard for Cruz-kun, so I should have some idea of how to make it.

Of course, I told them it's okay if they fail. Everything is an experience.

After that, I went to the kitchen to make a new dish with Charu.

The fried chicken was very popular, so I'd like to think that this one will be good too.

I start crumbling the bread to pieces.

Char-chan cuts up the boer meat and the oak meat, sprinkles salt and pepper, spices, flour, dips it in the egg and sprinkles it with the breadcrumbs I made.

The breadcrumbs I made, and then Char-chan fried them up, and the pork cutlet was ready.

As usual, I taught Char-chan how to make tonkatsu, and then I went to the two men who were making pork cutlets.

The two of them were able to make a rough shape, but they couldn't seem to work out the details yet, so they worked together with me.

By the way, Cruz was trying out various weapons that he and his grandfather had bought today.

In the orphanage, there are other children and it's dangerous, but the weapons we don't usually use are rare and Cruz seems to enjoy using them.

Well, with Cruz-kun's fighting type, it's a weapon he doesn't use often, so I guess it can't be helped.

The children watched the two Cruzes from a distance.

It was time for dinner and everyone was gathered in the dining room.

The grandmothers who had returned before I knew it were helping Charu to fry the pork cutlets, so we finished cooking them earlier than planned.

I really wanted to eat freshly fried pork cutlets, but as expected, it got cold after making nearly 50 servings, and we didn't have any rice, so I made a cutlet sandwich.

If you cut a piece of hard bread in half and put a pork cutlet in it, it's done.

As expected, if the kids ate one katsu sandwich, they would be full. However, I made the pork cutlet sandwiches with both Boa's meat and Oak's meat, so it would be a shame to have only one. So I cut the cutlet sandwiches in half and handed out half of them so that we could eat both kinds.

The director greeted us and we all started eating at once.

There are several kinds of bread with meat between them in this world, but the katsu sandwiches were quite hearty, and everyone was devouring them with their mouths full.

Grandpa seemed to like the pork cutlet and pork cutlet sandwiches as well. By the way, the one for the grandfather was not cut in half, but given to him one by one.

When the older boys finished eating, they started to eat another one. I cut the food into quarters so that it was easier for them to have more, and the younger children also started to eat more.

We served two different flavors, both of which I was relieved to see were popular.

The next day we were getting ready to go to the cabin.

Loading the wolf car with flour and liquor. We had received a lot of liquor from the liquor store yesterday, so we'll have to load it up for the time being when we go to the cabin.

Sakuya liked the pancakes, so I gave the sieve to Grandpa.

We don't have many opportunities to buy eggs and milk in our house, so it's not a problem. The kids will be disappointed.

Sakuya was saying goodbye to the children after the loading was finished. This is only her third visit to the orphanage, and she's glad to see that she's made more friends.

I'm glad to see that both the old man and the grandmother look so happy to see them.

I walked them off, looking forward to seeing them again next month.
