The town had changed over the past few years.

This was because even without the rattling adventurers that the lord's son was collecting, the number of adventurers and merchants was increasing.

At first there were many rattling adventurers, but even though they only go to the outer edges of the forest, the materials in the dragon forest are of good quality and therefore sell well. And with the increase in the amount collected, the number of merchants will increase. And the number of adventurers, who thought they could profit from the merchants' information network, increased.

However, with that, there were also adverse effects. There was an overwhelming lack of inns, restaurants and shops for merchants to buy and sell.

That's why the town is currently undergoing expansion work.

''Huh? Are you boys home now?

Yes.

I'm back!

You're not hurt, are you?

'Oh! It's okay, man!

When we reached the town, we were greeted by the usual gatekeepers.

However, it was not the usual gate, but a newly built gate.

Originally, the outer wall was a simple wooden one, because there are no monsters around here thanks to the dragon forest or maybe because there are no monsters.

Even now there are no monsters out, because there is a possibility that thieves and other bandits will appear when the situation continues to move so much money, so I have made a simple stone wall and moat, the outer wall of the wooden fence.

The usual gatekeepers were also at the gate that was built on the new outer wall. There is a gatekeeper at the old gate as well, which is a bit of a hassle as it needs to be checked twice.

Between that new outer wall and the old outer wall (what we call the inner wall these days) is the building of new houses and shops and other buildings, as well as fields and ranches are also being built.

As for the town's food, the bounty of the neighboring farming villages and forests had provided a certain amount of food for the town, but as the number of people had increased, they had begun to build fields around the town as well.

The atmosphere of the town has changed a lot, hasn't it~

Yeah, you're getting a lot bigger.

But it's hard to tell if that's a good thing or a bad thing...

He was a rattling adventurer who caused the increase in the number of adventurers, but he went to the forest a lot, and what a difference it makes when the dust settles, now that there are more and more people with a certain amount of ability, the town's security has become less and less good.

Also, as for the exterior wall work, the finish was not very good looking, as if the lord's son was being stingy with his money or someone was embezzling it.

''Come to think of it, Charu-chan said you might have a soup kitchen.

If there are more people, there will be a difference between rich and poor.

It's a good idea to have a good idea of what you're looking for.

It seems that the number of orphans is increasing, and since the orphanage is full of orphans, they can't bring them in, so they decided to start a soup kitchen.

To be honest, they haven't been able to get any support for the orphanage lately. It's a mystery to me if it was terminated or if someone is embezzling money, but they didn't tell me why.

The only thing we're able to live on now is what we make. Part of it is the sales of yarn and cloth from the Rainbow Caterpillars....

But we have a surplus of food (monster meat), and we wanted to put it in the orphanage, but we couldn't. The director of the orphanage asked us if we could do a soup kitchen. We're the ones hunting for meat, you know.

There was no way we were going to say no to the soup kitchen.

To be honest, we don't know what's going to happen next, but we'll do what we can do now.
