A few months had passed since he met the Wind Dragon.

During that time, there were many changes.

First of all, the number of servants had increased.

Every time he went to the Wind Dragon's house, his grandfather saw Sakuya playing happily with the servants, and he caught some monsters.

The first thing he caught was a bear-type monster, a marder grizzly.

He caught it, but nobody could tame it because I wasn't around, and Sakuya was too scared to cry, so the grizzly failed.

Next, I caught a wolf monster, the Forest Wolf.

This time I caught it while I was there, so I asked my grandfather to put it to sleep with magic and poured magic power into its core. But no matter how many times I poured the magic power into the core, it didn't flow well.

Is it because I'm not a child? No, there is the example of the Queen. So it wouldn't work on a higher-ranked monster then? No, the queen is also very subtle... Is it because she's not weak?

Well, for whatever reason, the second one also failed to tame.

The third one was a horn-rabbit kid, the same as Mew.

It seems that if it's the same monster that has already become a follower, it can be tamed.

I was also interested in the conditions under which it could be tamed, so I gave Hornrabbit a try.

My grandfather's prediction was correct, and Hornrabbit turned out to be my squire.

I don't know the exact conditions yet, but for now, it seems certain that I can turn the monster into my squire.

After that, I thought it would be a pity if I only had one hornrabbit, so I tried a few more to experiment with my tames.

After the experiment, I found out a few things.

It seems that to be able to be a follower, you have to be basically a lower-ranked demon.

A lower rank seems to be whether or not the monster is of a level I can beat.

Of course, there are exceptions to this rule, and as long as they're weak due to injuries or other reasons, like the Queen's time, they can be tamed even if they're higher in rank.

As a result, Horn Rabbit, Shadow Owl, Poison Snake, Blue Tiger, Wood Monkey, and Silver Squirrel became followers.

The blacksmith also learned how to manage a knife, was taught the basics of blacksmithing, and is now making nails as practice.

Apparently, the grandfather is seriously trying to make a horse-drawn carriage, or rather a wolf carriage, and he's going to use it as a material.

To be honest, I have not made any progress on the woodwork.

That's because we don't have the materials. The blacksmith had a lot of broken weaponry and armor, called scrap iron, according to the old man, so we had to reuse it. (I don't think those were scrap iron for all intents and purposes, they were leftovers from the people who came to slay the dragon.)

The wood for woodworking can't be used immediately after cutting it, it has to be dried, but it takes a long time to dry it.

We can't take it to the orphanage, so the wood is dried at my grandfather's place, but it was not suitable for drying because it was in the forest. That's why we cut down a lot of trees, but we didn't have anything to use.

I was able to learn magic with ease.

The magic in this world can be cast by casting spells, but apparently you need to have magical skills to use it.

It is said that each person in this world has their own specialty attribute, but it seems to be hard to find and express the skill is hard to find.

In my case, I was able to use my magic, so I was able to do it.

By the way, I heard it's hard to read spells too. Long live the other world's language!

I've been able to understand the flow of magic power when I used the beginner's level magic, so I was able to customize the power of the magic in various ways. It's a nice miscalculation that I was able to use magic without chanting.
