When we got back to the wolf cart, the old man tossed me a bag.

Here's the reward for this one.

It was the bag of money I had received from the receptionist.

What? This is too much!

I don't mind. It's fine to split the amount between the two. The number of kids who are becoming adventurers is increasing, so it's better than nothing. If you don't spend it, save it.

But that's obviously more than the monsters we killed!

The rewards for the requests at the reception desk were mainly the permanent requests for the orphanage members to defeat goblins and soldier ants, as well as the purchase of materials for the high-ranked monsters brought by the grandfather.

In most cases, there was a minimum number of low rank monsters to be killed, and if there were more than a certain number of monsters, they would be treated as a single request.

That's why the number of requests is overwhelmingly higher for us, but since the request fees are so different, the grandfather should be earning more money by a difference of 9:1 or more.

Also, when it comes to buying materials, the goblins defeated by the orphanage members don't have any materials to sell, and the Soldier Ant's shell can be sold but we don't bring that much because we plan to use it ourselves. As for saleable materials, there are only a few snakeskin and orc materials.

However, many of the materials of the monsters that Grandpa hunted, such as hides, pelts, horn fang claws, bones, and organs, were materials that could be sold at a high price.

Even with the compensation for the request and the purchase of the materials, our income would not normally be a tenth of this bag, after all.

In the end, we were forced to accept the bag of rewards by an old man who wouldn't listen to us no matter what we said.

I'll think of something to repay him later.

After leaving the Adventurer's Guild, the first place I head to is the liquor store.

The grandfather and the Wind Dragons like it, so they buy more of it.

The wolf cart was loaded with half of the liquor and the grandfather asked him to deliver double the amount to the orphanage tomorrow.

It's impossible to carry this much booze to the hut at once, so we decided to take a little bit of it with us when we go to the hut. We didn't always have any luggage when we went to the hut, so it was just fine.

Next we headed to the general store.

Stock up on flour and spices.

Some spices were also found in the dragon forest, so their spices are less.

I also bought some other miscellaneous items such as string and bags.

I bought a flour sifter to make something sweet for Sakuya since he gave me more money from his grandfather.

The flour in this world has a lot of impurities, so it's not like modern flour, so bread and other foods are not as good as they could be. If you put it through a sieve and use clean flour, you'll get some soft bread.

However, it's not possible to make a bread with a sieve because the amount of flour you sift through is reduced...

The only sieve I had was a coarse one, so I'll have to make some modifications.

Normally we'd go to the fabric store after this, but this time the grandmothers are going to go themselves later.

I'm sure they'll have some fun choosing.

Well, I'm about to do something I don't understand, which is to make something sweet for Sakuya as a thank you for her grandfather, but if I decide to do that, we'll go to the butcher shop next.

Normally I only come here when I'm selling a part of the boa meat that I can sell at a higher price, but today I'm here to buy it.

And it's not the meat I'm buying. It's eggs and milk.

After all, you can't make something sweet without eggs, milk and sugar. Well, the eggs are chicken-like bird's eggs, and milk is missing, so I plan to use goat's or sheep's milk, which is the most common milk in this world. I'm planning to use honey for the sugar, so I don't know if I'll be able to make what I want to make, or if it will taste as good as I remember...

So, I bought eggs and milk at the butcher's.

The reason they sell eggs and milk in the butcher shop is because they sell what they can get from the farm in bulk.

They also sold cheese, so we bought some.

After finishing our shopping, we decided to return to the orphanage.

The orphanage smelled like soup. Charu-chan's soup is becoming more and more like curry because of the spices he uses, so we can't wait to see what he's going to make in the future!
