Well, Dorgo sure acted quickly.

He had gone off to talk with the water dragons as soon as he dropped me off and then he had come straight back.

Even ignoring the great speed he traveled at, the talks must have come to a conclusion very speedily.

“I didn’t think you’d be able to make them agree so soon.”

“Oh, I only had to mention your name, Mister Ruck.”

Dorgo said, flatteringly.

Kathe also looked happy.

“That is Locke for you. And you did well too, dad!”

Dorgo looked rather pleased by his daughter’s words.

“Well, then. We should head towards the water dragon settlement tomorrow.”

“They would be most grateful if you did.”

“And I will take you there!”

Kathe declared excitedly.

But Dorgo answered,

“Well, wait, Kathe.”

“Hmm? Oh, do you want to take him yourself? But you just did it this morning! It’s my turn now.”

“That’s not what I meant.”

“So, what do you mean?”

“It may not be necessary.”

“Hmm?”

Kathe’s tail drew circles in the air as it swayed.

“Ruck. The thing is, I had something prepared…”

So saying, Dorgo took out a metal board from his bag.

It was as tall as a man and slightly wider than my shoulders.

“What is it?”

“It’s a magic tool with a teleportation circle carved into it.”

“What a surprise.”

“I made it myself.”

“That is amazing, dad!”

Kathe’s estimation of Dorgo was on the rise.

Kathe had looked at the dark ones’ teleportation circle and said that it looked familiar.

The dragon’s had practically invented teleportation circles. And so it was not too strange for Dorgo to use them.

“That’s very impressive… By the way, where does this lead?”

“It is connected to the water dragon settlement.”

“How very convenient.”

“Yes. Mister Ruck, if you stayed away from the capital for too long, it would affect the security of the city.”

Dorgo was very perceptive.

I was thankful for that. This would mean I could protect both the capital and the water dragons.

Then Dorgo took out another metal board. He had an apologetic expression.

“This one is connected to the Wind Dragon King palace.”

“Ohh! How useful!”

Kathe’s reaction was anything but apologetic.

Her tail went up and down. She looked very happy.

“Perhaps you would rather not have a magic circle connected to the Wind Dragon King palace…”

“Why wouldn’t he?”

Dorgo said fearfully, but Kathe’s head was tilted to the side with a puzzled expression.

If such a teleportation circle was in my mansion, there was a possibility that Kathe would sneak in.

And so Dorgo was worried.

“I think it would be quite useful to have it here. Thank you.”

“Yes, yes. I can come and help you anytime.”

Kathe said happily.

As for Dorgo, his face remained serious.

“Mister Ruck. Teleportation circles are useful. But you must also be careful.”

“What do you mean?”

“The Wind Dragon King palace. Or even the water dragon settlement. If they would fall into the hands of enemies, they would be able to come here.”

“That…is quite true.”

“Even if they are not taken over by the enemy, they would just need to enter the room with the teleportation circle in order to enter this house.”

It was possible that someone could just sneak into that room.

In other words, there would be more routes leading here for the enemy to take.

“I see. I will have to be cautious.”

“Yes. Considering the risk, you would have to be very careful when installing these.”

“Yes, I will be careful then.”

I thought about it for a while.

“I will have to choose a special room to place them in.”

“That would be for the best.”

But which room?

Currently, everything that was secretive was kept in the hidden room in the basement.

The entrance to the secret passage and Philly’s laboratory were all underground.

Kathe pondered on this and then said,

“Hmm. I think they should be underground.”

“No. If they did happen to get in, they would have a clear path to the royal palace.”

“Oh, I see. That would be a problem.”

“I think that I’ll have to use one of the spare rooms on the first floor.”

But it wouldn’t do if they broke in through the windows or walls.

And so I would have to tightly protect everything with magic.

But then again, I didn’t want to make it too obvious from the outside that the room was being protected.

“Hmm. It might take time to prepare everything.”

I thought about it a little more before making a decision.

I needed a room that could not be seen from the outside.

In the end, that meant underground.

So I had to make a different underground room that was separated from the secret passage.

I decided to use one of the rooms on the first floor for this.

And so I cut out part of the floor with magic and dug a hole through the exposed soil.

“We can set them up here.”

“I see. That is a good idea.”

Dorgo agreed.

And then I protected the room with magic. Carefully, so it was very secure.

Then a door was placed over the hole and it was finished.

“I registered you and Kathe, so you can open it.”

“Thank you very much.”

“That is a great help!”

I would have to register Eric and Goran later as well.
