Mochi's knowledge about this country's Underworld politics is acceptable at best.

But he knows one thing not everyone knows. The current Vermillion Dragon isn't his cute, angry student, Abaddon.

It's painfully obvious. Who does that fake trying to fool with his pathetic attempt in copying his cute student's mannerism? He didn't even attempt to join in fights, according to the information he gathers.

Although to be fair, most of the Demon population rarely stops to think. Their actions rely more on impulse and instincts, like animals.

He discovered that Fake Vermillion Dragon usually avoids personally joining scuffles—a glaring detail he failed to copy from his cute student.

His student loves testing his strength and comparing notes with his fellow Demons. He wouldn't miss a fight, especially if his precious family is being bullied.

Ethan Li was his real name. He's his student, so of course, he would know his true identity. He's the eldest and only son of the Li family, one of the country's most noble and influential bloodlines.

Aiyo, he grew up so handsome and successful. He heard he's engaged now to the Bai family's eldest young miss. The She-Devil, Lillie Bai. What a perfect match, those two. Mochi doesn't have any complaints. His students deserve only the best after all.

Hah! Lucky brat, he scored a diamond mine. Although, the woman looks like she chews people and spits them all bloody and mangled as a hobby. Mochi prays his cute student won't be devoured—in a bad way—by that scary lady.

You may assume that he's a horrible teacher for suddenly disappearing—what? It's because of his training? Bah! Nonsense!—but he didn't leave his students without being assured that they can handle themselves in the Underworld.

His withdrawal basically means they've graduated from little imps to certified devils.

Mochi, fervently denies that his students hate him. They may have some against him grievances for emptying their pockets to satisfy his sweet tooth, pay for the properties he destroyed (which was part of their training, by the way. They didn't even need to pay), and throwing them to the wolves (some of his weak pursuers—and it was a good exercise for them actually) while he makes a tactical retreat.

He might've also taken their precious cars and motorcycles for a joyride in a Demon-infested street where bullets would immediately rain down on him after seeing the pricy-looking vehicle, and probably some other things normal people would sue and want him dead for.

Mochi mentally pats himself in reassurance that all of it was training to strengthen them not only physically, but also mentally.

It's very important to strengthen one's mind after all. People with strong mentality live longer. So there's no way his cute students despise him!

"Ahh, what a shame. Now that our match was spontaneously ruined, what say we reschedule?" Mochi said flatly, his voice even as if there wasn't a literal war happening around them right now.

"And let you run away? Not a chance." Ethan sharply disapproved.

Mochi gasped dramatically at the accusation. "Me? Run away? You wound me, brat. Do I look like someone who runs away from a fight?"

Seriously, that deadpanned look is trying to tell him something and it's making him angry! This brat is seriously asking for death, ah! His uncouth attitude and that venomous tongue were giving him a severe sense of deja vu, it almost made him shiver.

But he can't quite point a figure into it. His memory is good, but sometimes his brain just automatically deletes irrelevant data.

It must be irrelevant then if he can't remember. No use of dwelling further.

Mochi was still busy devising a compromise for his strange opponent, who has yet to introduce himself—rude. He tilted his head nonchalantly to dodge a wild bullet. Was it wild or deliberate though? Never mind. What difference does it make?

"You will pay for your transgressions tonight, old man. I won't let you slip away again." Ethan kicked his feet and leapt towards him.

"So stubborn ah. Can't you see—" When Mochi stepped away from his attack, the hair on the back of his neck stood.

He barely managed to dodge a strike aiming towards his neck by the skin of his teeth.

"Isn't this unfair? You said you'll only be my opponent." Mochi stepped further back to assess the new situation. "Aiyo, kids these days. This fragile old man's heart is broken by the broken promise."

Lillie entered the stage with an unamused expression. "Wasn't it you who asked for it though? Allow me to grant your wish."

Despite her current condition, it didn't deter Lillie's fearsome and outstanding power.

Same goes for Mochi. Even with the injures he got from Ethan and the energy he exhaust in their fight, he seemed like he could go on for days with their deadly dance.

As expected of Ethan's former master. Even by completely concealing her aura and bloodlust mixed with the chaos around them, he was still able to sense her.

Mochi observed the delicate-looking young man who almost successfully sneak up on him with interest.

"No need, no need. It's no use to continue when I've lost my zest, thanks to this little scuffle." Mochi gestured at the 'little' scuffle. "Like I said, how about we reschedule?"

Lillie hummed thoughtfully and made eye contact with Ethan.

"Fine, we'll reschedule." Ethan conceded, a bit reluctant. After all the trouble his wife went through for him to meet his old master again, he can't even push him to his edge.

In the end, he's still weak against this formidable yet annoying old man.

Mochi grinned at Ethan. "I keep meeting interesting youths this night. I like your determination, brat. By the time we meet again, I'll be expecting more fight from you. Until then, gather your strength and train because this master won't be holding back."

Ethan glared. "Keep your lectures. You don't have to tell me what I already know."

Mochi cackled boisterously. "So spiteful, ah. You remind me of someone."

Ethan's pretty sure he's talking about him but made no reaction.

"Before we part ways, don't I at least deserve to know who you are?"

There was no reply for a few seconds. A beat later, Mochi got his answer.

"Silver Dragon."
