Chapter 43: Ou Qi

In a huge office, the Director of Communication was reporting the results of the North Island’s advertisement to Cheng Su, who was sitting at his desk.
A little bored, Cheng Su’s eyes suddenly caught the caller ID on his phone. He raised his hand to the man in front of him, signaling him to hand him the documents he was holding and dismissing him.

Phone in one hand and pen in the other, he was about to sign when—
“Brother Cheng Su, are you there?”
Hearing Qiao Dai’s voice on the other hand, Cheng Su felt like a cat whose tail had been stepped on and blurted out without thinking: “Who is your brother?”
Cheng Su’s mood felt a little unstable for a moment.

On the other side, Qiao Dai turned instantly red and hurriedly explained: “No, no, you know, our Teacher Jiang in our show is very famous and everybody calls him Brother Fengchi in private. I’m sorry.”
Jiang Fengchi was the idol of most of the players and the girls usually called him that. Qiao Dai was always listening; she had called Cheng Su brother by mistake and her heart was now beating loudly.

As soon as Qiao Dau finished speaking, there was a silence on the other end of the phone. She didn’t know how long it took before a cold sneer sounded.
“Do you also call him Brother Fengchi?”
Qiao Dai didn’t know whether it was her illusion or not, but she felt that Cheng Su’s tone sounded much colder.
“No, no. Teacher Jiang is the teacher, how can I call him that?”

Her head shook like a rattle and she sighed in her heart as she talked, wondering how she kept annoying him. Cheng Su was always upset with her.
She didn’t want him to be angry and she asked tentatively: “Then, what should I call you?” President Cheng? Mister Cheng? Boss?”

Hearing the girl’s serious tone, Cheng Su could feel his eyelids twitch.
“Cheng Su.”
He took a deep breath and got up from his chair. He turned around and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window to look at the street outside the building.
“You can call me Cheng Su.”
“Oh.”

They stayed silent for a moment and in the quietness, Cheng Su could clearly hear her breathing. Instantly, he couldn’t help but recall her warm breath on his face the night before.
“Cheng Su.” Qiao Dai’s voice finally sounded again and Cheng Su tensed subconsciously. In a daze, he couldn’t help but imagine the girl’s lips whispering in his ear.
His heart thumped a little faster.
He raised his eyes and looked at his reflection on the glass and noticed his slightly red ears. He loosened his tie irritably; he already didn’t like those much on a daily basis but felt it was even more troublesome today.
“Speak.”
He started pacing in his office, and as if he was trying to avoid being affected by Qiao Dai again, he put the phone on the desk and leaned against it, still looking out the window.

Qiao Dai felt that Cheng Su’s voice suddenly sounded a little far away but she didn’t think too much about it. Instead of bothering him for too long, she quickly told him about the new competition system and asked him if he knew someone who could help them.

Cheng Su listened to her quietly and did not agree or refuse immediately once she was done talking. He was silent for a while and when Qiao Dai thought he was about to say no, he spoke softly.
“Go to Galaxy’s headquarters and find someone by yourself. Just say I sent you there.”
After saying that, as if he wanted to escape Qiao Dai’s gratitude, he added in a hurry: “I still have things to do.” before hanging up.

When Qiao Dai returned from her call, her teammates gathered around her with curiosity but did not urge her to give them the news.

Qiao Dai was slowly recalling what Cheng Su had said in her head before telling the other girls with some uncertainty: “He said that I should go to Galaxy to find someone myself. He told me to say he sent me.”
Lin Xiaoxiao’s expression suddenly changed when she heard her and she took Qiao Dai’s hand with excitement. She was a bit incoherent when she spoke: “Galaxy? Galaxy’s headquarters? Oh my god, our most famous seniors are there! Daidai, how do you know them?”
Although Lin Xiaoxiao had also signed with Galaxy, she was only a little trainee. She was not comparable to the artists who had already debuted and she had only gone to the headquarters twice; before she could have taken a closer look, she had left with her agent.

Witnessing Lin Xiaoxiao’s reaction, the other girls guessed they had just hit the jackpot and immediately surrounded Qiao Dai, somewhat wishing to throw her into the sky to celebrate.
“Can we also go?”
“If it’s the headquarters, doesn’t that mean that Sirius will be there?”
“Right! Didn’t they just finish their tour? It seems that they have nothing on their schedule for a while, maybe we can find them and ask for their help? Can we?”
Hearing someone mention Sirius, the other players couldn’t help but be speechless.
“If it’s Sirius, everybody would watch us. Can anyone compare with them?”
“But they have their temper. Especially Lang Xing, how could he agree to help trainees?”
The girls kept talking about it for a while and soon reached a consensus: they could definitely not invite Sirius.

Shi Qing watched her happy teammates and smiled: “Well, in any case, they told Daidai to go, they didn’t invite all of us. If we all go, we might bother them, it’s better if Daidai goes by herself. But let’s find some candidates, we can’t let her do anything and sit on the sidelines.”
As soon as she said that, the others nodded.
“Shi Qing is right, there are still a few days before practice begins. Let’s check all the seniors we know first!”

After the team made their practice schedule and listed suitable artists, Qiao Dai didn’t dare to waste time and took a car directly to Galaxy.
“Hello, Miss Qiao. I have received instructions from my superiors to assist you in finding a guest for your performance.”
After Qiao Dai had explained the reason for her visit to the front desk, a staff member had come down to greet her and had patiently introduced the different floors to her, before taking her to the one dedicated to the artists.

As soon as the elevator door opened, many well-dressed men and women walked in. Each of them was more outstanding than the other and even Qiao Dai who knew nothing about this world recognized some of them. She could only imagine how popular they were.
“Qiao Dai? Is that you?”
As the employee led Qiao Dai forward, a young boy was coming from the other direction. He was being lectured by his agent and he couldn’t help rolling his eyes when he caught a glimpse of Qiao Dai.
Wasn’t she Qiao Dai?
The moment he saw her, the boy suddenly stopped and shouted her name loudly, before turning around and running toward her.
“Sister Daidai, I am your fan! Can you give me an autograph?”
The boy was about fifteen or sixteen years old. His face was still young and his eyes were bright and bent into two crescent moons.

“Ou Qi!”
The agent was about to become bald. He grabbed the boy who kept asking for Qiao Dai’s signature and looked helplessly at her, not forgetting to apologize to her.
“It’s okay.”
Seeing the boy about to be dragged away by his agent, Qiao Dai felt that he was going to be scolded and she quickly waved her hand to indicate that she was fine. She also took out her pen and got ready to give away her autograph.
“Oh, I don’t have any paper, what can I use?”
Ou Qi searched his pockets for a while but could only find a couple of candies. The agent watched his antics and felt his eyelids twitch.
As if he had found a solution, Ou Qi looked at Qiao Dai with a smile and turned around before bending over a little. He showed his back and said: “Sister, can you sign there?”
His shirt? Would that be okay?

Seeing the happy expression in the boy’s eyes, Qiao Dai opened her pen cap and wrote her name on Ou Qi’s back. It felt slightly itchy and the boy couldn’t help but smile, patiently waiting for Qiao Dai to finish writing before standing back up.
“Thank you, sister!”
After a few seconds, Ou Qi finally remembered Qiao Dai was not signed by Galaxy. His hand on his chin, he asked: “Are you looking for something here? Maybe I can help.”
Seeing his stupid artist suddenly turn into a little fan, the agent sighed with exhaustion.
“That is, Miss Qiao…”

The staff briefly explained Qiao Dai’s situation. They were all insiders and would not casually leak <Pick Eleven> news in advance.
After listening to the employee, Ou Qi blinked and was lost in thoughts for a while. He then turned to look at his agent.
“Brother, can I go?”
He knew that would happen…
The agent looked at his artists and as if he had no choice but to compromise, he said: “I am not against it but shouldn’t you ask Lang Xing first?”
Lang Xing?
Qiao Dai reacted.
Wasn’t he one of the famous Sirius group’s members?
