Gu Siyi stood up from her desk silently after the imposing question, all her friends were already looking at her expectantly.

She was stunned. She originally didn’t want to mention this person to them, but when push came to shove, she had to answer. “Yes,” she said reluctantly.

Zheng Peipei turned her head and looked at her with interest, “So what happened to you?”

“Come here.” Gu Siyi hooked her finger and asked her friends to come closer.

When the four small heads were gathered around, Gu Siyi whispered to them quietly. “I’m going to be discussing something very important with you ok?”

This prompted Xiang Li to also lower her voice. “What’s the matter?”

Zheng Peipei on the other hand couldn’t hide the excitement from her voice. “Are you going to make any big moves?!”

“How important is it? Tell us quickly.” Zhang Xinyi was also urging her on.

On the other side, Lu Jiaye watched as the four girls grouped up. “What are these girls whispering about?” he asked.

“If you’re that curious, then go over and listen,” said Xia Zhijun as twisted a pen in his hand.

“Forget it, stay boring… Zheng Peipei is a tigress, the kind that can bite people.”

“Nonsense.” Xia Zhijun sneered, “Can you still be eaten by a girl?”

Lu Jiaye was upset, “Can you stop!”

Back to the girls, Gu Siyi was still explaining to her friends in a low voice. “Amidst the vast crowd, we came together and became students in Class One and Six of Longxing Middle School. There were so many girls in the class, but we have become friends who

go to the bathroom together every day. As the saying goes, a hundred years to cultivate the fate of the same students, ten thousand years to cultivate the love of a friend-”

“The pants are off and you give us this story?” Interrupted Zheng Peipei in a disappointed tone.

“If you have lots of foreshadowing to do, can you cut to it please?” Xiang Li agreed.

“It’s not like writing an essay, why are you so melodramatic?” asked Zhang Xinyi.

Gu Siyi appeared unhappy at their criticism but she decided to cut to the chase. “…Some things have to be emphasized, but I guess it’s better to speak out… Thousands of waters and mountains are always in love. So could you lend me a thousand yuan?”

Xiang Li: “…”

Zhang Xinyi: “…”

Zheng Peipei was the first to burst out into laughter. “Hahahaha, so all that just to ask us to borrow money!?”

“Keep it down!” Hissed Gu Siyi. “Don’t let other people hear this.”

Zheng Peipei stopped laughing as she wiped tears from her eyes. “Okay, okay. I’ll lend you a thousand.”

Before Gu Siyi could thank her Xiang Li shoved in between them. “I have enough, let me lend you!”

Unwilling to be left behind Zhang Xinyi joined in. “I have a few thousand yuan saved here and no place to spend it, Si Yi you can borrow from me!”

“…” Gu Siyi was glad to be surrounded by so many willing friends.

She clasped her hands together in turn, “Thank you, thank you, thank you very much. Please accept Xiao Gu’s knees.”

Zheng Peipei waved her hand and said, “It’s nothing, but why are you borrowing money? Are you having financial difficulties? And Is one thousand enough? If you don’t have enough, I can lend you more.”

Gu Siyi was more than grateful. “It’s enough, it’s enough. Thank you!”

Just when Xiang Li was about to say something the school bell rang and all four of them returned to their places.

It was geography class, which was a relaxing subject for Gu Siyi. Just as she took a seat she heard her mobile phone notification sound go off. It was a WeChat message notification.

X: ‘So what happened after?’

X: ‘Continue’

X: ‘Did Lu Ming turn you into a ghost?’

X: ‘What’s going on?’

X: ‘What about the flowers and the bear he sent you?’

Gu Siyi widened her eyes at the series of messages, she completely forgot to respond to him. Since the study god himself was asking about Lu Ming she knew that she had to answer.

Gu ming siyi: ‘He gave me very expensive flowers and bears, and I plan to pay him back.’

Gu ming siyi: ‘Then, on the internet, I found out that it cost four thousand yuan! I was so distressed.’

Xia Zhijun put his mobile phone on the open geography book, lazily supporting his head with one hand, and typing with the other.

Noticing this, Lu Jiaye watched him curiously, he’s never seen Xia Zhijun chat with someone on WeChat in his entire life. He’s either sleeping or reading his own book. No matter how enthusiastic they chat in their WeChat group, they never see him join.

Lu Jiaye poked his head to see who he was chatting with, yet his eyes couldn’t focus on the words. Before he could get any closer, Xia Zhijun closed his book and swatted him on the head while pushing him away.

I’m not done yet Thought Lu Jiaye with intentness.

X: ‘Do you like the gift he gave you?’

Gu ming siyi: ‘I certainly don’t like it.’

X: ‘Then why did you collect it?’

Gu ming siyi: ‘It’s not that I accepted it, it’s that he ran away when he gave it and didn’t give me a chance to refuse.’

Lu Jiaye was unyielding and was still determined to get a peek. Xia Zhijun, while still texting, had to kick his stool until he was forced to slide away with a high-pitched squeak.

The sound of the foot of the stool rubbing against the ground echoed throughout the classroom, grabbing the geography teacher’s attention.

“Lu Jiaye! Keep your head in the class.”

Lu Jiaye: “…!!!”

X: ‘If you don’t want it, I will return it to him for you.’

Gu ming siyi: ‘It’s okay, I can handle it myself.’

Gu Siyi waited for Xia Zhijun’s reply but didn’t receive any. She turned slowly to find him flipping through his book blankly. He had already put his phone away.

That expressionless look….

Gu Siyi felt bad for Lu Ming, even though she wasn’t the one getting hurt.

She decided to listen to some of the class before lowering her head to continue typing. What she failed to realize was the teacher slowly approaching them as he kept explaining the lesson. Zheng Peipei was busy reading comics and Gu Siyi was too busy texting to notice the approaching danger.

Xia Zhijun knew he had to cause a distraction so he swiftly stretched out his foot and hooked Lu Jiaye’s stool.

The clueless Lu Jiaye. Who had given up trying to read Xia Zhijun’s messages was leaning forward and having a chat with Su Han. His approaching danger was the sudden realization that there was no chair under him when he committed to sitting back down.
