The day has finally arrived.

The day of the wedding of the groom, Sawadi Slayra, and the bride, Laura Slayra.

The registration has already been filed so the marriage itself has already been completed.

My family said “Congratulations!” like it was a normal day.

Only father hugged me with tears in his eyes though I think he’s being too sentimental. He’s acting like I’m his precious daughter who’s getting married far away.

Both of us had already changed our clothes and I was wearing a white three-piece suit that Laura-san had picked out for me. She thought it would look good on my black hair.

As for Laura-san, she’s dressed in her plain military uniform.

In addition, she has a full set of medals on her chest which looks heavy.

I wished she could have dressed up in something more fashionable but there were a lot of soldiers coming so she could only wear her official uniform.

The place where we are doing our wedding reception was the multipurpose hall of the magic academy.

This is a place mainly used by nobles for large-scale weddings and funerals but this time, we were able to rent it out without any hassle. It’s tall thanks to our good relationship with Dean Estoma and Professor Marion.

Well, Laura-san is also a noble so I think she could have rented it too if she applied normally but when the professor and dean intervened, the conversation progressed very differently.

Especially Dean Estoma. He uses every power he got for this so I feel like I’m indebted to him.

Also, I was surprised to hear that Dean Estoma and Laura-san are distant relatives.

I was surprised when I saw them talking normally and even in a friendly manner.

Maa, I guess the relatives of braves are braves too, right?

I thought so while I looked sideways at the medals that were crushing Laura-san’s big boobies.

I sighed from the waiting area as distinguished guests entered while music was being played by our slave band in the background.

It was just going to be a normal wedding reception with a few school acquaintances. How did it end up into such a big deal…..

Anyway, no matter which way I turn, all I see are people in military uniforms and their wives.

Most of them are people I’ve treated but there are a few I don’t even know…..

There are fewer active military men compared to veterans. There are a few people here who are former subordinates of Laura-san, who also have shiny medals on their chests. My stomach hurts.

And most importantly…..a representative of the army marshall, uncle of the school principal, came in on a short notice.

The military men around were all in an uproar when they saw the guest list.

Dude, I’m just a commoner student!

There’s no reason for you to come!

What kind of bullying is this!

I heard that if someone from the navy talks to you, he’ll kill you, right…..?

「And now, the bride and groom.」

After the venue had been painted almost entirely olive drab, our turn has finally started.

The customary form of entrance is for the groom to take a step back and escort the bride’s hand. We did in our practice but it looks comical given our height difference.

The two of us walked side by side to our seats with a thunderous applause.

Mendelssohn’s wedding march, which I taught to the band, is playing in the background. It gives off the best wedding feeling.

It’s sad that I’m the only one who understands that feeling though.

Call me romantic but I wanted to bite on this happiness in my own way.

For me, happiness is the template of a wedding.

And for me, the temple was Mendelssohn.

I accept disagreements.

But please come to this world first with your give and congratulations.

「Doctor! Congratulations!」

「You got yourself a beauty! You lucky bastard!」

「Make a child right away!」

「Where did you get this sake!」

After crossing the virgin road, sandwiched by soldiers to the left and right, we finally sat down on our seats. Exhausting.

I am already dizzy with all the slaps on my back from all the guys who congratulated us while walking down the aisle.

No, no, no, I must endure.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime wedding.

Now, the introduction of the bride and groom will begin….

Hnn? What’s this? Why is the marshal’s representative walking this way?

When I looked at Laura-san, she whispered in my ear, “It’s former General Rasp.” but that’s not what I want to know.

The old man, who was only wearing one big medal on his chest, stood right in front of the main seat where we were seated and faced the audience.

「Before we begin the ceremony, the guest of honor, General Rasp, representative of Marshal Centurio, has a few words to say. Everyone, listen!」
