Yuan Mi’s entire body trembled as he crawled towards Lu Shangjin’s feet. Frowning, Lu Shangjin grabbed Yuan Mi’s collar and dragged him up, hastily avoiding the security guards who were coming into the casino. They headed out the exit and towards the deck.

Before getting off the helicopter earlier, Lu Shangjin had stuffed a gun by his foot. Yuan Mi had been shivering unstoppably. He never expected that Lu Shangjin’s circle would be so bloody and reigned with terror. Being by his side was a position not anyone could just stand in.

Yuan Mi sat slumped against the door, he lifted his head as he looked at Lu Shangjin.

Lu Shangjin was still wearing the ink-black fox coat, his indifferent gaze swept across the two security guards who rushed by the door. The powerful force from the Desert Eagle’s recoil did not shake Lu Shangjin’s hand at all, every single bullet was shot directly between the targets’ eyebrows with precision.

His back was against the sky filled with stars, his gaze cold and sharp, like an eagle diving down towards its prey with a head dripping in blood.

After the bullet was shot, Lu Shangjin flipped his hand and changed his gun. The Desert Eagle dropped in front of Yuan Mi, making a heavy falling sound. Yuan Mi trembled involuntarily, but he listened to Lu Shangjin’s lowered voice, “Pick it up and keep it properly.”

“…Okay…” Yuan Mi reacted slowly. Like an old lady hastily picking up fallen apples, he faltered on the ground, then took the heavy Desert Eagle into his arms and wrapped his coat around it.

The scorching heat from the muzzle burnt Yuan Mi’s collarbone, but he didn’t dare loosen his grip, as though he was protecting Lu Shangjin’s important treasure. A faint sweet scent tainted the Desert Eagle, left with some residue of the milk candy pheromones.

Yuan Mi raised his eyes, the extremely frightened yet slack pupils covered with a layer of mist.

He was a gorgeous omega, worthy of being a prosperous beauty in his circle. His eyelashes were bleached white, his short golden brown hair making him appear more soft and alluring. Under the flashing lights, thousands of people sought after him, but at the very moment of being at the front line of life and death, that quiet little rabbit was still the main character.

Lu Shangjin tossed aside the empty magazine pistol and grabbed Yuan Mi roughly, dragging him to the helicopter that had already started to roar. He pulled out an AK47, and without needing to strap it on his shoulder, he single-handedly fired at the security guards coming towards them. He then climbed the helicopter and jumped inside.

The helicopter branded with the peregrine falcon family’s emblem took off slowly. Lu Shangjin threw the empty bullets from the AK47 into the sea, then pressed the button of a remote control.

The cruise ship exploded from the center of the casino, dark clouds slowly rose to the sky, the powerful impact of the explosion affecting the helicopter. The helicopter shook violently as it left the troubling place and prepared for a return trip.

The explosion that was neither big nor small was enough to burn all the equipment in the casino. As for whether the aristocrats present had taken videos or not, Lu Shangjin trusted that those who were unwilling for the peregrine falcon Lu family to break up would know what to say or what not to say.

As for the beta confident who knew insider information hidden by Lu Jue, Lu Shangjin had the patience to find him by himself.

Lu Jue did not even intend to hand over this beta and planned to trap the white wolf with empty hands. Lu Shangjin felt disdain towards dealing with him. Lu Jue was cunning enough; not only did he not contact that beta, he didn’t even leave a trace of pheromones on him. Otherwise, with only a light trace of pheromones, Lu Shangjin would be able to track his location with his peregrine falcon M2 ability.

The cruise ship was blown up into a large hall, the billowing black smoke rose to the sky with the raging fire, burning half the starry sky into a purplish red searing iron.

On the deck, the security guards and crew were putting out the fire in chaos. There was an alpha silently leaning against the side barrier of the deck, one hand resting leisurely on the handrail, while his right hand held a glass of red wine, swirling it slightly to make the liquor roll evenly against the glass. With half lidded eyes, he lightly sniffed the aroma. His tall figure appeared more enchanting against the light of the fire.

The alpha turned his face to the side, he lifted his chin towards the distant helicopter and raised his glass, smiling as he mouthed to Lu Shangjin, “Cheers.”

The corner of his peach blossom eyes rose slightly. There was a birthmark on his lower eyelid, and he had unforgettably beautiful cheeks with an awe-inspiring sense of evil essence. This was a spider alpha.

He took out a name card from his pocket and threw it out with two fingers.

Lu Shangjin clasped his protective belt as he stared at the spider alpha smiling at him from the deck. Blue veins burst on the back of his hand. He unconsciously clenched his jaw, causing an ear-grating sound of grinding teeth.

Even if that exaggerated hair style had been dyed back to black, that face was unforgettable.

He was the alpha who lowered his head to kiss Yan Yi in that photo.

Lu Shangjin first released the J1 differentiative ability “extreme vision”, as if to engrave this utterly hateful face on the to-kill list of names in his heart.

He was able to clearly see the name on the fluttering name card before it fell into the water. Shao Wenjing, M2 Spider alpha. Lu Jue’s adoptive child and heir.

He couldn’t help but feel an abrupt pain in his heart.

With the spider’s M2 differentiative ability “mental paralysis”, Yan Yi was placed in a trance in that photo. Who would deliberately show Lu Shangjin such an ambiguous angle?

“Shao. Wen. Jing…” Lu Shangjin grabbed the AK47 without warning, but the helicopter had already departed the range.

Shao Wenjing took a sip of red wine and squinted his peach blossom eyes as he smiled at Lu Shangjin in a relaxed manner, “He’s really cute, I’m just messing.”

He had just so happened to meet the little lop-eared rabbit at the door of his club business on a late night, and conveniently changed into the masseuse uniform, intending to spend a hot and passionate night with the little omega. Unexpectedly, he only let him touch his back the entire night.

No matter what he thought, he was at a loss.

The helicopter gradually grew out of sight.

——

It flew smoothly to the fixed landing point. Lu Shangjin leaned against the rifle as he sat on the folding panel to retain his mental composure. Yuan Mi was weakly leaning on the opposite side, his face deathly pale, having just vomited.

He returned the Desert Eagle from his arms to Lu Shangjin, then wrapped himself tightly with his coat and looked at him helplessly.

Lu Shangjin watched the distant night sky expressionlessly. He came back to his senses and took the Desert Eagle. His fingertips rubbed the muzzle of the gun, then rubbed again.

Yuan Mi hugged his knees wearily and lifted his head to ask him, “Jin ge, is it so hard to admit that you like him?”

“Everytime you fuck me, you would always call out Yan Yan, how meaningless.” Yuan Mi stretched his neck and leaned against the steel plate, exposing the word “freedom” on his neck. The snow-white eyelashes were moist and shiny. He lifted his arm and rested his forearm over his eyes, the corner of his lips pulled into a bitter smile, “I just pretend that you were calling out Yuan Yuan, really, Jin ge, this is so meaningless.”

Lu Shangjin’s tolerance threshold was not high enough to let a sugar baby celebrity say such things to his face. But he was in no mood to care, only silently turning his head back to the faint dawn sky.

“The assistant will bring you the card in a few days,” Lu Shangjin said lightly.

Consider it the end of being his sugar baby with the sum of breaking up fees and hush-money.

Yuan Mi had already known that this was the outcome. If the other party was no longer his financial backer, it was inevitable for him to speak more presumptuously.

“Lu xiansheng,” Yuan Mi lowered his eyelids and kissed Lu Shangjin’s finger resting on his knee, then faced the other side desolately.

He then fished out the phone that was almost thrown out from his pocket, deleting Lu Shangjin’s contact information one by one in front of him. After which, he scrolled through his album, murmuring, “Take a look, there aren’t any photos left, if you don’t trust me I’ll give you this phone.”

Lu Shangjin didn’t look at him, facing outside lost in thought.

“Fine.” Yuan Mi sighed, then threw his phone into the sea.

Lu Shangjin had provided for him for three years, but did not leave even a single photo. Yuan Mi occasionally wanted to take a photo of him pillowed on his abs to show off to his friends, but he was not allowed.

From then on he understood; this sugar baby relationship was simply cleaner than the period of time when he was hidden by the company.

Within those three years, he had also been to the hospital a few times, but the only time Lu Shangjin accompanied him was when he had a gland physical examination at the start of their relationship. Lu Shangjin had asked the doctor to check the gland compatibility degree with another physical examination form.

As a result, after he came out, the compatibility degree seemed quite low. Yuan Mi didn’t mind, but when Lu Shangjin saw the results, his eyes were dim, and he went to the stairwell outside the inspection room for a cigarette.

Yuan Mi didn’t dare to ask. He only vaguely felt that he dodged a catastrophic hit.

——

In the cramped hotel room, Yan Yi was in a daze in bed.

He went online to search for precautions during one’s pregnancy. There was a point saying that you should not stare at your phone screen for a long time when you are pregnant.

He immediately put his phone down.

After a while, he picked it up again and continued researching precautions for pregnancy.

Without an alpha’s care, it was difficult to attend to oneself alone when pregnant.

In order to prepare for the gland replacement operation, he was injected with a significant dose of anesthetics. For Yan Yi’s glands to turn completely dormant, it took him a dosage that was five times higher than an average omega. The A3 glands were like a powerful electric generator, containing enough energy to sustain the operation of a large-scale heavy industrial plant for several years.

The delayed recovery of functioning glands was similar to that of robots being powered off. Yan Yi’s pregnant body was dragged down by this heavy burden every passing day. When he pushed open the windows every morning, the incoming cold wind even made him stumble. He was now weak and fragile like a scrap of paper, desperately in need of an alpha’s soothing pheromones to provide him with some strength.

Now, his vision would blur when he looked at a screen for a while, so he could only toss his phone away and curl up on his side, his back facing the electric heater.

He had blacklisted Xia Jingtian’s number, and had drawn a clear line between them these past few days, but that child still didn’t listen, stubborn as a donkey.

The sound of footsteps climbing up the stairs came from outside the door. Right after, a knock sounded, then a hummed whistle, “Little bunny, be good and open the door, quickly open it, I wanna come in.”

Yan Yi buried his head under the pillow, unable to handle that lovesick little alpha at the door. After requesting for leave from Lu Shangjin, Lu Shangjin didn’t reply either. Maybe he had taken his harem on vacation.

He lied on his side feebly, his face sickly pale. In the first few days, he still had the energy to crawl out of bed to pour himself a glass of water. Today, he couldn’t even get out of bed.

Even the strength in his bones had been worn out. He half opened his dispirited eyes and felt around for his phone. He tapped on Lu Shangjin’s contact but didn’t have the courage to dial it.

But he really wanted to hear what he had to say.

With trembling fingers, the number was dialed.

Maybe God made this decision for him. Yan Yi waited silently. One ring, two rings, three rings…

He exerted half his strength to think about what to say to Lu Shangjin.

Until the automatic receiver prompted that the number he had dialed was unavailable.

In the first place, the disappointment at the end wasn’t being cursed at face to face, nor was it the harsh and hurtful phrase “get lost” that came from a head full of anger, but it was the lack of response from the number he dialed when he was extremely helpless.

When he was feeling the most disappointed, he still remained calm. He just felt his heart cracking from dryness, wanting to apply hand cream to soothe it.

Yan Yi closed his eyelids after blacklisting Lu Shangjin’s number, it lied side by side with Xia Jingtian’s number on the list.

Then he opened the browser and searched for the keywords, “resignation letter template”.

The little lovers in the villa needed him to make room for them. Yan Yi didn’t want to hang on anymore. A few of his luggage were still in the villa, he would get them when he felt better.

He thought that his head was so numb as if it was wrapped in a layer of paste, unable to think clearly, so he closed his eyes to sleep for a while. In fact, he had been sleeping intermittently for the entire day. His forehead was heating up, and he felt the tormenting bits of discomfort covering his body. He would go to the hospital when he has the energy the next day.

The knocks on the door sounded for a while, then it stopped. When Yan Yi got some peace and quiet, he finally fell asleep.

Xia Jingtian climbed up from the window on the second floor and crept into this cramped room. He placed a bowl of hot porridge and vegetable stuffed buns by the head of the bed so Yan Yi could eat them when he woke up.

The little rabbit was so hurtful, directly rejecting his care and affection.

However, he couldn’t go against his attraction from the high pheromone compatibility. Xia Jingtian was so infatuated with his scent, yet he didn’t have the heart to coerce him, so he simply forced himself to exercise patience. He had traveled from Jiu’An city to this point, he couldn’t return without accomplishing anything.

He sat beside the bed and hugged Yan Yi’s back that was so thin it could hurt his hand when touched. Hearing his painful sleep talks, he couldn’t hold back from releasing soothing pheromones. He bent his body and pulled Yan Yi into his arms, his heart ached as he caressed him in comfort.

The little rabbit was so light and soft that he barely weighed anything. When Xia Jingtian hugged him, a corner of the woollen sweater accidentally lifted up, revealing a scar on his waist.

Xia Jingtian looked at it in surprise. It was a hole from a bullet, appearing particularly unpleasant against Yan Yi’s white and soft body. Like a defecting crack in a jade wall, the hideous bullet hole was odd on the thin and fragile figure.

This was an old wound, how painful had it been when the bullet cut across his body?

He subconsciously hugged Yan Yi tightly and kissed his forehead covered in cold sweat. He wanted so badly to take him away from that twisted and mental alpha by his side and make up for all the care that Lu Shangjin owed him all these years. But Yan Yi didn’t even want to go to the hospital with him.

This world is so ruthless. Some seek but fail to succeed, while others are cast aside like old shoes.

To Yan Yi, the highly compatible soothing pheromones were like a bowl of clear water in front of the eyes of a desert traveler. Yan Yi grasped Xia Jingtian’s t-shirt with difficulty, like a dependent drug addict, wanting to completely submit his body to this gentle alpha, but also wanting to push him away in agony.

“No… don’t let me become stained with your scent…” Yan Yi struggled to push him away, but he was embraced more tightly and couldn’t move.

A higher concentration of soothing pheromones was released. Xia Jingtian’s character had a strong presence, the gentleness of the lion alpha was like a bow from the emperor. Dignified, he exercised control and carefully restrained himself, not resigned to being rejected.

Completely unintentional, Yan Yi fell into Xia Jingtian’s arms, his pale feeble hand still gripping onto his shirt. He whispered softly.

“Jin ge… I’m having your baby… take me back home…”

The weak pleading voice was sticky and soft like melted milk candy, Xia Jingtian’s heart skipped a beat, dully aching in a grip.

For the past few days that he had been around Yan Yi, Yan Yi’s attitude was estranged when he was awake and never displayed the vulnerability of an omega. No matter how uncomfortable he felt, he would only take a sip of water, silently holding it in.

Yan Yi gently hugged Xia Jingtian’s neck, sinking into the inexhaustible supply of soothing pheromones.

The unbearable jealousy made Xia Jingtian glare at the clean glands at the back of Yan Yi’s neck in disgust. He lowered his head and kissed the tender skin, feeling the person in his arms shiver a little. His mouth opened slightly, exposing two sharp canine teeth.

Like grabbing onto a life-saving driftwood, Yan Yi begged with tears.

“Mark me…I really want to have an alpha too…Jin ge…”
