All of this happened under the watchful and helpless eyes of the leader who after observing them for a moment took out his phone and started dialing some numbers.

After repeating this a couple more times, the man then collapsed back into the chair his head turning toward the ceiling.
"What should we do..." Said he after a moment of pause, his voice filled with exhaustion.

Meanwhile, in a very remote place, a short-haired woman could be seen standing lazily in the middle of a crater.
Around her, nothing looked intact, the earth was cracked and full of craters, the trees and greenery were destroyed, and dust filled the air making it hard to breathe.
Based on the traces around, it was clear that some sort of battle had happened here a while ago.
Standing there, this woman made a huge contrast compared to the surroundings as she was wearing what looked to be a comfy hoodie and sweatpants.
Those comfy clothes looked very weird in this environment
But all of this didn't appear to affect the woman standing there as she didn't seem to care, after all, she is the one who caused all of this damage.

Looking at the phone in her hand, the woman's lazy expression quickly turned to a fully serious one.
"What happened?"
"I didn't hear about any strong cursed spirits being born, moreover, they don't usually call me unless it's something they absolutely can't handle."
Straightening the delicate-looking glasses she was wearing, the woman then place the phone back into her pocket.
"I'll have to find out myself I guess..."

Walking away slowly, the sound of her footsteps echoed lightly in this desolate place before disappearing soon after.
If Lorien were here, he would have been very interested in this woman, after all, compared to the five he met in the Sorcerers HQ, she is much stronger.
If the woman Lorien previously followed was approaching the special grade level, then this woman has absolutely reached it.
She is actually the only Special Grade Sorcerer in this country.
Of course, Lorien didn't have any idea about this nor did he care as he was currently walking around the streets enjoying himself.
It's been a long time since he's been in a fully functional modern setting, the first world he went to was an ancient world, and the last one is an apocalyptic world.
So just holding a Coke bottle and walking around gave him a great sense of calmness and joy, even the bustling and noisy city around him couldn't affect his mood.

Shaking his head, Lorien smiled amusedly for a moment as his expression then slowly turned serious.
'Enough of this, It's time for business.'
'I need to find a cursed spirit and a sorcerer to experiment on as I have to verify my guess!'
'If it is true, then gaining ownership of this world will be quite easy.'
Deciding on this, Lorien didn't waste any more time as he quickly started using his [Clairvoyance] while limiting its range to the city he is in.

'There is a weak cursed spirit close by, and there is also this rogue sorcerer hidden in this city.'
'Guess I am still lucky!'
Finding his targets, Lorien immediately disappeared from his position not wasting a single moment.

'I really wonder how or will my Source Energy get affected after analyzing the cursed energy in this world.'

Making his way toward his destination, Lorien's thoughts kept racing as he kept thinking about all the possible scenarios.

This house looked like it was abandoned for years, it's owner stopping in the middle of the construction process for mysterious reasons.
The house had no doors or windows, and its walls were made of concrete with vulgar graphics and some tags all over them; We can also see some needles and glass bottles showing that this house was used for other illegal activities.
But it is really unknown if whoever entered here has left alive.
"Really? Can't you be a bit more creative?"
"But, This is to be expected..."
Shaking his head, Lorien didn't even bother about this anymore as he quickly made it inside.
'It looked smaller from the outside...'

Suddenly feeling some energy waves, Lorien lowered his head looking directly below him.
'So it also has a cellar.'
Seeing this, He basically determined where this cursed spirit was, so without further ado, he made his way toward it.
"Hope that I can gain something..."
