As for the second level, it is called [Inner Dream], and it is here where this path truly shows its true unpredictable nature.
You see, this level is based on the fact that everyone has dreams, and when they do, a dream world is automatically created, It's just that for most people, those dreams are very vague and are quickly forgotten.
A lot of the time those dreams actually reflect a person's inner thoughts, and deepest fears.
So taking advantage of this and using his new-found knowledge on how to create nightmare creatures, Lorien plans to make it so that in this level, such beings will be created from the person's inner fears, and what this person has to do is fight them, and kill them.
This whole level is actually just a battle with one's inner demons, fears, and nightmares.
And because those nightmares became 'real' because of Lorien's power, after killing them the 'Path Walker' will absorb them thereby becoming stronger.
In simple terms, inner fears give birth to real creatures which can be killed so the person grows stronger which is very similar to how video games work.
Moreover, it is to be noted that this absorption is comprehensive and strengthens all the aspects of a person be it his energy, body, or soul.
However, 'killing' those nightmares is much harder than one may think, after all, they can't be killed through sheer power and strength.
You see, the main thing about dreams is the fact that one can get whatever he wants there, it is very linked with belief and willpower, and is very idealistic rather than logical.
So if the person who is fighting thinks consciously or subconsciously that he can't bypass and defeat his fears, then, he won't be able to do so no matter how strong he is.
And inversely, if his belief and willpower are very strong, then, even if he is weaker than his nightmares strength-wise, he could defeat them thanks to the boost he'll get in the dream.
And in doing so, the person cleanses his heart of anxiety, fear, and worry and in turn achieves true calmness and serenity and strengthens his willpower.
It's just that inner fears are after all limited, and after cleansing all of them this level finally reaches its conclusion.
And it is here where the next level appears which is [Outer Dreams]!
This level is actually very similar to the previous one in how one grows stronger by killing nightmares, however, those nightmare creatures are no longer created by one's inner fears, rather, they are born from the negative energy present in the world.
There are two ways to kill those creatures, the first is by absorbing negative energy into one's 'Dream Realm' and letting them be born there before killing them.
And the second is accessing the worldwide dream realm that Lorien is planning to create which will absorb all the negative energy in the world and let nightmares get born freely there.
As such, no negative energy will be left alone which will prevent cursed spirits from being born again.
However, even though there is a bit of a difference between those two methods, the essence is still the same.
Want to become stronger? Then fight!
It's just that we still have to note that in this level, the person doesn't get the full energy and power of the nightmare creatures he kills, rather, he just gets 50% while the rest goes to the world.
And this is basically what this path is all about, as for the method of reaching the [Law Level]?
Well, it is still the same, just let nightmare creatures at the law level be born and then kill them thereby instantly reaching that level.
No need to slowly learn and comprehend rules, no need to gather knowledge and plan hard; Just fight!
After all, once the nightmare is killed, even his comprehension and understanding of the power will be inherited by the killer.
However, this is only possible because of the essence of 'Dreams' which is very idealistic.
Otherwise, fighting a [Law Level] being without having [Laws] would be suicidal at best.
It's just that there are still a lot of things lacking before Lorien could perfect this path, of which is knowledge about the 'Soul', more knowledge about barriers and cursed techniques, and most importantly knowledge about the method of letting [Law Level] nightmares be born.
The first two are available in this world, as for the last, Lorien still needs to look for it in another world.
Not to mention that Lorien still has no idea about how to reach the [Trancandent] level or how it would go with this path, however, this is to be expected, after all, it would be weird if he knew how to reach that level at his current strength level.
It's just that, even though Lorien plans to spread this 'Path Seed' to all people in the world and let it hereditary like in the 'Naruto World', he isn't planning on letting everyone awaken.
After all, if all people gain this ability, then no negative energy will be spread which will cause nightmare creatures to not be born and in turn 'Dream Walkers' as Lorien calls them won't be able to grow.
So, Lorien plans to let a small number of people awaken, and those people are the kind-hearted, and those who produce a small amount of negative energy.
As for those who are evil and produce a large amount of negative energy, their chance of awakening is near zero.
This is mainly for two reasons, the first is that those kind-hearted have less evil in their heart and can practice this path much easier, and the second is simply to not push this world into chaos as Lorien's objective never was to affect normal people.
So it's better to give power and strength to those kind-hearted, at least that way the world may become a better place.
So after planning everything and getting his story straight, Lorien started explaining this power system to Yuki who has been impatiently waiting for him to respond.
"Dreams...Nightmares....3 Levels...."
The more he spoke, the more interested Yuki became, however, at the end of Lorien's speech, a frown appeared on her face as she couldn't help but question again.
"How are you planning to create that dream world as you call it? creating such a thing at a worldwide scale would be impossible!"
"Don't worry about that, I have already prepared everything, I just need to get more information and knowledge about barriers and cursed techniques, I also need to catch someone with knowledge or power related to the soul."
"I see..."
Falling into deep thoughts, Yuki started thinking seriously about this plan and its feasibility of it.
Seeing this, Lorien didn't interrupt her as he calmly took a sip from the coffee in front of him, however, by the time he put the cup back on the table, Yuki had already raised her head again and spoke firmly.
"Let me help you then!"
Hearing this, a smile appeared on Lorien's face, after all, the reason he talked so much is to get her on his side.
After all, Lorien is very lazy, and he frankly doesn't want to do everything himself, so it is necessary to get someone powerful to work for him, and what better option than Yuki.
So after hearing her request, he didn't hesitate as he immediately nodded in agreement and said as he extended his right hand.
"Alright then! Welcome!"
"Please do take care of me!"
